The views were amazing! Our pilot Liu was very informative He gave us insights on the towns and mountains when while we were passing them. We had 15 minutes on the mountain to walk around and take heaps of photos. The helicopter was shut down so it was serene and peaceful on the Top.The entire experience was excellent from the start till the end. Would definitely recommend Over the Top Helicopters.

Our party of five (including one with mobility issues) had an amazing flight this morning. We had updates over the preceding days regarding the weather and where we would be flying and always felt that OTT were thinking of us. The flight itself was on a beautiful day around the mountains surrounding Queenstown. Highlights were every single part of the experience. René catered for all of our requirements (mobility issues, first time flyers and some scared of heights)!

Ben was a great pilot and guide! Terrific experience. Friendly, professional, top notch all around. It was truly over the top!

We booked this tour as I had never seen snow before and my birthday wish was to see snow. We made the booking online, and all communications with Over The Top in the lead up were excellent. We had a slight time change as fog stopped flights in the morning but they kept in contact with us and easily rescheduled. Transport was on time to collect us from our hotel (included) and staff were super friendly when we arrived. We waited for another person as we were booked in a group tour but they never showed up so we were fortunate enough for it to just be us. Our pilot Dave was fantastic, such a lovely guy, happy to have a chat and share his knowledge on the local area. As soon as I mentioned I had never seen snow before he said he would take us to the highest point up at Double Cone. Snow was pretty light on when we went, Queenstown lakes hadn't received a lot of snow yet but after a short flight Dave found a spot with great snow for us. We landed on the snow and it was everything I had hoped for! Dave let us spend plenty of time up there (possibly more than our allocated time - lucky us!) He took photos and let us explore our surroundings. I could tell he knew how special this was for us, he let us do our own thing, enjoy the snow and the spectacular views. A short flight back to the airport and out tour was sadly over. I would absolutely do it again and would go straight back to Over The Top without hesitation. It was an experience of a life time! An experience of a lifetime. Our Pilot Steve made everyone feel comfortable and excited. The views were stunning and the information during the flight so great. Landing on the snow and getting out was the icing on the cake. A perfect day.

I don't have a fear of heights, but I was a little nervous before we took off. However the Over the Top team, Victoria and Rene (Pilot) were really lovely to deal with and made our experience to the top of the Remarkables just epic! Right from arriving, Victoria made us all feel so welcome. Our Pilot Steve ensured we were well briefed before we lifted off to some of the most spectacular scenery in NZ, landing on Cecil Peak where we were able to disembark and enjoy the view. Steve was so knowledgeable of the area, and such a calm and kind man. He was also fantastic with our kids, keeping them informed and safe throughout our trip. Thank you so much for your hospitality, it made the whole experience so memorable.

Flying up to the top of the Remarkables in a Eurocopter with Louisa in control was simply awesome. The weather was perfect and we managed a snow landing and walked around and took in the views for 10 minutes before returning to base.

First class service from the first phone call to the actual flight from OTT. Thanks to Pedro, Steve & pilot Renee - they made a fabulous experience even better. We were lucky to land in pristine snow after a fresh snowfall and our pilot ensured we landed in the best possible spot - it was breathtaking with lots of photo opportunities and plenty of time allowed to take in the magical scenery. Would definitely recommend this company and look forward to booking the Milford Sound experience when we are next in Queenstown.

The weather did not allow our flight to take off first thing but the team worked around our day to make our flight happen, they kept us in the loop by letting us know when they would call and keeping to that time. The exoerience itself was fantastic, great flight, awesome views and a Steve landed us in snow with a bit of sun so we were comfortable. He was great with giving us info of the area and keeoing our son safe as well.

Cannot recommend this company enough. Various package options given. We picked to have the helicopter to ourselves as we were 4 already. Everything was explained in detail. On the day we received a call (which I missed) followed by a text to let us know weather was good for the flight & what time we should show for check in. Once there welcomed by Pedro who checked us in, explained how the trip would go. Then our pilot showed explained where we would go on the map did a quick safety briefing and we were off. The helicopter was spacious & beautifully maintained. Once we were buckled in we were off. Seven minutes later we landed in an untouched location with fresh snow. Nothing can describe the experience. The pilot took so many photos for us and explained where we were and answered all our questions. Definitely great value for money & would recommend for a special once in a lifetime experience.

INCREDIBLE! To be taken to areas that are so untouched is just breathtaking. Pilot Michael was so knowledgeable on the areas we went and made everyone feel so safe. Experience from as soon as you check in is 5*. Would do this a million times over!

One of the best (if not the best) thing I’ve done on holiday anywhere in the world! Absolutely loved our experience - right from being greeted at the office by Katie (who arranged our trip at short notice for us) and being introduced to our pilot which put me at ease, having never been on a helicopter before. We were flown over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu with excellent commentary on the way, and then landed on Cecil Peak - to have pavlova and bubbles! Incredible scenery, great staff and excellent value for money. Highly recommend it! Wish I could do it all over again.

This was the highlight of our visit to Queenstown. From the moment we arrived and met Katie at reception to taking off with our pilot Michael, we felt safe....and excited. The climb up over the ridge to land on the top in the snow was exhilarating. The view from the ridge overlooking Queenstown was spectacular and taking off to head back was even more breathtaking. Michael was full of great information and we were still buzzing about our flight hours afterwards. A must do in Queenstown

Would have to say this was the highlight of our Queenstown trip. Right from the snow landing to the delicious BBQ lunch and little exploration of the grounds at the high country stone cottage. James is a great pilot and tour guide and really made the trip. Nothing was an issue. The entire experience was very professional and I would totally recommend Over the Top helicopter tours if you are looking to do something special.

Our pilot Michael was exceptional. He shared alot of knowledge with us & was not in a hurry to get back, therefore we had extra time. We felt in completely good hands & Michael was so relaxed. You could tell he loved what he does. So amazing landing in the snow & incredible views. We were so lucky as the morning couldnt of been better. This was absolutely the highlight of our trip & a must do. We can definitely highly recommend "Over the top Helicoptors"

This flight and alpine landing was the highlight of our week in Queenstown. Our pilot Dan was fantastic, the flight was smooth, the commentary knowledgeable and interesting and he was a great photographer as well! The view over Queenstown and the surrounding mountains is spectacular and it really is an amazing experience. I would recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown.

The BEST experience! I’m scared of heights, but our pilot James was super reassuring and made me feel safe the whole time. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, we never felt rushed and he even kindly took some great photos for us. From checking in, and meeting Honey Boy, to the flight itself everything was great. I also love that a female pilot started the company!

Have always wanted to do this and certainly not disappointed. Our pilot Bradley was great and we had an awesome experience. The whole team were great to deal with. Would definitely recommend them as they have deals to suit everyone. Will have to come back and do it again.

When landing in Alpine Snow, we can see Queenstown city from the top which is the best view. This includes the surrounding mountains and lake Wakatipu. The flight was so smooth and the pilot also was very kind to explain everything that we had passed and saw. We had the best time and took some nice pictures. It was amazing experience for us.

Wow, splashed out and took the family on the trip. It was simply amazing. The whole experience from greeting, to check in and how hospitable the pilot was, just second to none. This was an expensive trip for our family and I ummed and arhhhed, but it was totally worth. I highly recommend OTT, and the great thing with the tour we did is they land the chopper at the top of Mt Cecil, power down and stop the blades and then you are able to get out and spend some time on top of the mountain! Pictures, snow fights etc. Other companies either just land, or don't power down the chopper so the stay at the top is very quick. We weren't rushed, great time at the top. Well done OTT just a great experience!

Fantastic experience- this is an amazing trip as we did not get to the snow in Queenstown we treated our family this helicopter trip for our daughters 20th birthday. Initially we were going up to the Remarkables but as not much snow they suggested Cecil peak which was awesome. Well worth the money and an experience my family will never forget. You should have seen my daughters face and we kept as surprise and blindfolded her up to the helicopter. Truly amazing.

Ok, so they're on a winner already with the scenery the Heli trips operate in, and it certainly lived up to all the hype on our trip to the snow at Cecil Peak. Helicopter is comfortable, smooth, and headsets superb in cutting out all noise and allowing conversation. Windows gave everyone top notch views all around as well. Snow landing at the Peak was a LOT of fun with the pilot (Ryan? - Apologies if I got that one wrong!) very helpful with photos as well as skilled with the machine. Then went the extra mile with a dash to rescue wind-blown sunglasses! The only advice I could offer to add a Plus to the review is perhaps brush up a little more on knowledge of the area for the narration as Tour Guide. Ground staff were cheerful and professional - thanks Katie. It's only a short trip there and back, with a 15-20 minute stop at the top, but well worth every cent!

Previously I had the chance to take the helicopter ride during a business trip, but this time it's a leisure trip and I was wondering should I spend the money to experience it again. It was well worth the price for a chance to fly up to the Alpine again to experience the surreal environment, walk around in deep snow (I'm from Singapore so snow is a rare sight.) Katie was very helpful in arranging the trip and also wanted to make sure we get the best experience on a good weather day. So do cater some buffer some time for your trip in case you need to change your plan due to weather. This is my first time taking the 7 seater chopper, though slightly cramped in terms of the seats especially the middle seats. So do try to get the window seats if you want to grab some view of the mountains along the way.

Couldn’t fault the staff, we had the perfect day as I surprised my fiancé with a heli landing overlooking Queenstown. Rene our pilot was such a legend, taking amazing photos and giving us a quick air tour of beautiful Queenstown. Would highly recommend, we will never forget and something that we can look back on many years to come.

Milford Sound was out because of poor weather (happens 50%) but OTT offered the 2 of us a spectacular scenic option. We flew out from the airport heading west across some spectacular rising country climbing to 6000 feet under the careful control of Brad. We landed on a ridge on top of Mt Vanguard...it was spectacular.The weather began with steady drizzle after a while on the ground. We then moved onto view the leading edge of a glacier up close looking at the blue ice and into the deep blue crevasses. We then flew North then East down the Motatapu valley bought originally by Shania Twain and it is a well managed huge property. A great 60 minute flight and OTT were extremely friendly, helpful and professional.

This was the highlight of our two week trip to New Zealand! We did the helicopter tour in September 2018 - the service was amazing (thanks Jess and Honey Boy). We landed in the Humboldt Ranges near Kinloch. Was fortunate enough to sit in the front seat for the return leg of the flight and the view was even more amazing from there. The experience was unforgettable. We would definitely love to do it again!

We enjoyed the flight over the Remarkables ski field. When we landed at Cecil Peak the views were to die for. Dan did an excellent job and we loved the return over Queenstown.
