We had an awesome experience. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 of which had done clay target shooting before and 2 hadn’t. We had Jamie as our instructor and he was fantastic! He communicated clearly and concisely, was super encouraging and very supportive as we learnt what was needed to do. He gave clear communication on gun safety and we felt safe throughout and in good hands. We would highly recommend doing this activity - it was so much fun!!

It was our second visit with my wife. Awesome experience, highly recommend that. The coach and staff were all very friendly and helped us have a good time.

Oxbow Clay Target Shooting was a great family outing. We mastered a new skill taught by a passionate and very experienced instructor.

I originally booked to do the clay pigeon shooting experience. But once I arrived at the Oxbow park, hearing and seeing the Jet boat. I couldn't help myself and booked it as well. Im glad I did!! It was one of the most adrenalin rushing experiences I've ever had. It's a must do if you are an adrenalin junking. Had a great time doing the shooting as well. Our tour guide Skinny was fantastic!! Big shout out to Skinny and all the friendly staff at Oxbow. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a really lovely time here. The whole staff were lovely, but I wanted to particularly highlight my experience with the clay targets. I went shooting with Skinny, who was an absolute barrel of laughs but also a phenomenal teacher. Made my whole trip, I had a great time, especially at a really great value. I cannot emphasize enough that Skinny was just an absolute legend, and I would've made a lot more time for Oxbow as a whole if I had done my research beforehand. I very rarely write reviews, but felt it was necessary to share, recommend to all types of visitors.

Such a fantastic experience!! Visited the shooting range with my three teenage boys and we all had a fantastic time. Skinny was the best host. He was so friendly and gave us great instructions so we all had a successful morning. The facilities are great, really well organised and extremely safe. Thanks so much to everyone. Would highly recommend this activity!

With just the two of us on the range, it was like a private shooting lesson, great experience Nick was a great instructor. Highly recommend this activity. All staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble had a great time.

We enjoyed the clay target shooing very much! The instructor is very nice and encouraging. And their staff Laura is super friendly and accommodating! Highly recommended for shooters at all levels!

It was a little out of Queenstown, but well and truly worth the experience. Scenic drive and enjoyed by all from 16 year old to 50+. Informative instructor Tim. Great fun, great experience. Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited New Zealand for our 1 year anniversary and we had a great time celebrating with adventure. Our instructor Skinny was THE BEST! He showed us expert techniques with a simple explanation and had encouraging and fun energy that had all of us having a great time. I recommend this activity and best if you book Skinny as your guide!

Friendly staff, good safety briefing and excellent tuition. Nick was a great instructor and as a complete novice I was put at ease- I even managed to hit a respectable number of targets. My son is more experienced but also learnt from the coaching. A great experience.

A totally enjoyable experience. Safety was Oxbow’s priority and their whole set up was professional but also our whole family had such a great time. I expected that maybe one of us might hit one of the clay targets. With Skinny’s advice and assistance all five of us were able to hit many targets which surprised us all. Surprisingly we’re all keen to visit again.

While this was a unique and somewhat scary experience for me, I thought it was very well run and super safe. My kids had a ball and felt that the instructors were very good and making sure we really knew what we were doing and that we would have fun.

This was our second time doing clay shooting. We took our friends along as we had an amazing time in February and thought we would share the experience with them. Well OXBOW did not let us down. If you have never shot a gun before don't worry, the instructors are fantastic at teaching you how to handle the gun and successfully shoot a target. We all came away with having success at hitting the clay targets due to the detailed instruction and guidance from our instructor. There is nothing to fear, just have fun!

We had a blast learning to shoot clay pigeons with Skinny. He’s patient and gave us a lot of support as it was our first time using shotguns. A great ending to our Queenstown trip.

Clay shooting was great, as someone who had never done it before Jamie was excellent at instructing. He made it interesting as well as having a laugh. From the initial booking with Fleur who was unbelievably helpful and friendly to everyone on site who made our experience brilliant. The site itself is welcoming and the bar is definitely a bonus! Great facilities, friendly and professional staff, well run business. I did the clay target shooting and it was fun and challenging, instructor was excellent and provided training and assistance throughout the afternoon. Lots of fun and highly recommended.
