We had a beautiful day on the Otago Wine Trail. The transport was comfortable and our guide Claire was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly and made you feel special. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had an incredible time on the tour! We saw four very different wineries, each with their own unique take on NZ wine. Our guide, Claire, did a great job sharing her knowledge of the area and gave great recommendations for things to do in Queenstown.
Fabien was wonderful, very knowledgeable about all things cheese, wine and the area. Very friendly and helpful. The day was fantastic, with a lot more wine than I thought we would get and food at kingross great, which you can take away if you can't eat it all. Highly recommend the trip.
What a great day! The weather was so sunny and we had an amazing driver. T was super informative with a great sense of humour and very accommodating. He was especially patient after a few winery tastings!

What an absolutely unforgettable experience! My husband and I booked the Private Wine Lovers Tour with Queenstown Wine Trail to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and it could not have been more perfect. Our wine guide, Teaukura (T), was simply amazing. From the moment we met him, he was warm, funny, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. His knowledge of the Central Otago wine region, the wineries and, of course, the wines was exceptional, but it was the way he shared it all that made the day so enjoyable. Nothing felt rushed or overly formal - it was relaxed, personal and so much fun. T also went above and beyond to make our anniversary feel incredibly special. He genuinely cared about making the day memorable for us, and he certainly succeeded! We laughed so much, learnt plenty, drank some absolutely beautiful wines and visited gorgeous wineries along the way. 🍷❤️ It ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our New Zealand trip and such a wonderful way to celebrate 20 years of marriage. We will always remember this day, and T was a huge part of what made it so special. Thank you Queenstown Wine Trail, and especially T, for giving us an anniversary experience we will treasure for many years to come. Selected wineries all provided an excellent tasting of4+ wines and the food we had at lunch was excellent. Our driver/guide, Ed was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as the wineries. It was an exceptional experience on all fronts.
Our guide was “T” and he was very knowledgable and entertaining. We visited 4 wineries for tasting and had a great time and learnt a lot. We would definitely repeat this experience, and especially if “T” was our guide. .
It’s the best way to learn about this wine region. QTWT employees are well-known and respected at every winery. Everything is set up for you at each stop. We’ve previously done this sort of tour on 3 different continents and found this one to be the smoothest-run. The wines are enjoyable, the scenery beautiful, the guides knowledgeable and engaging, and lunch at the winery is delicious. We even spotted the 89-year old guy who started the entire industry in Central Otago out in a vineyard!
The tour of the Gibbston Valley and Central Otago, with its history and geology was a good learning experience. Our guide Claire was very good at tieing together elements of culture, history, and wine context. And bits about the people who helped develop the industry! As a wine professional, it was good to more fully learn the background behind the wines I already love. Kudos to the wineries and their presenters, who were all very knowledgable and helpful. Special kudos to Claire for her patience an ability to adapt the day's tour to some of the delays and changes along the way.

We had a very enjoyable day with our wine expert guide Clair of Queenstown Wine Trail. Clair was also our driver, although we had booked a small group tour of max. 8 people, my wife and I were the only participants that particular day. We were very happy it was not cancelled when Clair picked us up in a very nice and big luxury SUV and we had a marvelous 7.5 hours long wine and scenic tour with Clair visiting 4 excellent wineries in Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn as well as a few scenic stops at the Cromwell gorge and were very lucky to also witness a bungee jump at the famous gorge bridge. We also had a great and tasty ala cart lunch at the Carrick Winery restaurant. We thank Clair and Queenstown Wine Trail for an excellent wine tasting day learning much about the proud history of fine wine making in Central Otago.
This was one of the best winery tours if not the best I have ever done. Andrew was amazing in driving and guiding us with his knowledge of the history of the area. The four wineries were all different but had beautiful wine varieties. The playlist in the way home certainly added to the end of a fantastic day. Thank you Andrew!
Andrew was a wonderful guide and host. He shared valuable information, and everything was well arranged. We got to visit four different wineries, each show casing Central Otago wine making in its own unique way. Highly recommend supporting this local, family owned business.
We liked all 4 wineries and all wines were good. Some tasted better, some less so. But no one was bad.
