Cardrona Valley Mountain Quad Experience From Wanaka

We had an awesome time riding the quads. It was my partners first time and our guide Rhona ensured she was looked after and felt comfortable riding. We will definitely be back.

Our family , 12 and 14 year old girls, and 17 year old boy along with hubby and mobility impaired Grandma had an amazing time with Kelly today . The girls enjoyed the mini quads, the boys the adult quads and Mum and I in the all- terrain buggy. Kelly guided us along the river explaining just enough about the history and the local flora and fauna to educate the group but not lose their interest. The terrain was enough to keep everyone excited with a few creek crossings and challenges. The scenery was exquisite and Kelly gave us 100% of her energy and focus the kids and adults all came away from the experience enthralled! Thank you Kelly for showing us the farm and your local flora and fauna. A uniquely NZ experience not to be missed ! 🤩

Kelly was the hostess with the mostest! Super friendly and patient with our kids. Provided clear, concise instructions before we set off up the mountain into some of the most beautiful terrain we’ve seen. Kelly took some amazing pics for us along the way (straight to the pool room Dale). Will be recommending this to mates and family 100%! Jimmy the cat welcomed us on arrival and was a doll ❤️ Thanks for an amazing day!

Enjoyed our ride, the views were amazing the bikes were great. They supplied extra jackets for us to stay warm, tracks were fun and muddy. Side note that the session is with all rider levels so can be slow at times otherwise fun.

The Quad tour was very fun and the views were beautiful. Agathe was our guide and she was very kind. The tour is on a working farm so we saw cows and sheep running around. It was a bit cold the day we went and they did have extra jackets, pants gloves and boots for use.

Agathe was a lovely guide. The ride was stunning and fit for an adrenaline junkie. I highly recommend!

We had an amazing quad biking experience with The Cardrona Horse Trekking & Quadbiking. The scenery through the Cardrona Valley was absolutely stunning, and the ride itself was a lot of fun while still feeling very well managed and professional. Our guide, Hanna, was fantastic. She was very careful and meticulous with her instructions, which made both my daughter and me feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the ride. We never felt rushed or pushed into anything outside our comfort level, which we really appreciated. It was clear she genuinely cared about safety and making sure everyone enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a fun, scenic, and well-run adventure in the South Island.

It was so awesome! One of the best things I did on my trip! I would recommend a solo private tour to anyone and everyone. As outgoing as I am and as much as I like doing group tours and activities. You just got to go way faster on your own. Amazing views and a super fun ride!

Sophie was an incredible guide — super friendly, informative, and really clear with instructions, which made the whole experience feel safe but still exciting. Everyone working there was extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. I originally booked the kids’ quad tour by accident, and not even two minutes later I got a call from the team letting me know the owner noticed we were two adults and asked if we’d prefer the proper two-hour adult tour instead. That level of attention was seriously appreciated. The whole place is way nicer and better maintained than I expected — beautiful setting, great gear, and just a really well-run operation. Overall an awesome experience, absolutely worth the money, and really well-priced for what you get. Highly recommend.

We had such a great time quad biking! Our guide was fantastic — super friendly and full of interesting info about the area and its history. The small group made the whole experience even better because we could take our time and really enjoy the views when we stopped. The quad bikes were in great condition and we felt really safe the whole way through. Would absolutely recommend!

We went on the quad biking with your with Hannah, so was so lovely and attentive the entire time. She took lots of photos of us that captured our experience and memories for us! She was always there to help if needing and have a laugh with everyone. Loved it!!

Riding a quad (ATV) on rough mountain trails is unique. As an experienced motorcycle rider, I had a hard time adjusting to the ATV, because all my reflexes and instinctive moves didn't work. Others in the group without motorcycle background learned much more quickly. The trail was a lovely scenic ride through sheep farms facing the Cardrona Valley, and the weather cooperated nicely with lots of sunshine. It was very cold at the upper altitudes, but our guides Sasha and Hanna had warm jackets and gloves to loan to us. For the adventurous, this is a must-do in Wanaka!

WOW what a wonderful experience going up the mountain then looking back to Wanaka and across to cardrona ski fields. What a beautiful part of the world and to see it with know body else around.

Highly recommend. This has got to be the highlight of our trip. The riding was great, views spectacular and the girls were both exceptional guides. The length of the tour was unbelievable. We just kept going up! When we got back we sat by the fire and had a look through the amazing pics Ashleigh took of us. 10/10. We'll be back!

Sasha was a great guide! It was suitable for both inexperienced and experienced riders in our group. Plus great views at the top of the mountain! It was rainy and cold on the day, I would definitely recommend layering up and bringing a wet weather appropriate jacket this time of year. They did have some coats available for those less prepared like myself. An unexpected bonus was the cat Jimmy (he has thumbs) !

Quads were so fun, weather was through it all at us, but Sasha was the best!!!! (Her photography skills were pretty good too!)

We did the Quad experience this August and was a great trip. Hanna was a great guide with plenty of patience for the less experienced riders, and knowledge of the area. Not much snow around but the views were amazing and clear on the day. Don't expect an adrenaline packed trip as it's purely a scenic tour with fantastic scenery.

My friend and I had an unbelievable experience riding quad bikes up Cardrona Mountain. The instructor Hanna was very good and patient and I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting the Wanaka region.

I completed the 2hr quad experience around the Cardrona, the tracks were scenic (as to be expected) and was made up of a number of different challenges. Phoebe our guide added to the experience, providing insight to the area and it's history along with recommendations for the local area.

Fantastic experience on the quad bikes. We had Phoebe as our guide and she was great taking us on the track, telling us some of the history of where we are and pointing out the sites. Very scenic and 100% worth doing. My mates and I all had a great time.

This quad tour is absolutely spectacular in every way. My husband and I signed up for the 10A tour and we were the only ones on that tour (another family group took a separate tour that is more geared for children’s safety). It was shoulder season before the ski area opened. Kelly was our guide and she is fantastic: expert, entertaining, reassuring, knowledgeable. I had some trepidation as I’m afraid of heights. Obviously that’s a bit challenging as the ride is up to the top of the hill/mountain. She really helped me to thoroughly enjoy the experience. This is a MUST DO activity if you are anywhere near Cardrona.

We travelled to Cardrona from Queenstown (about 45 minutes by car). Our guide, Summer, was a very experienced rider and made us feel very comfortable about using the quad bikes. We were kitted up with helmets and gloves, given some instruction and then off we went. The pace was really good, stopping at a couple of locations for photo opps. Once you get to the top of the mountain, the way day is really simple (driving on a curated road ... so you get to open the throttle a little!). It is definitely a fun activity for the adventure loving person. As a side note, there is an option to ride with the guide if you do not feel comfortable riding your own quad bike. You do not need to have had any experience riding the bikes, and so the guide monitors everyone and makes sure none are left behind. Once you settle in and get used to them, they are a lot of fun. You do, however, end up with a bit of a sore thumb from holding down the accelerator, but you soon get used to that as well. Definitely recommend for something a little different, if you love a little adventure and the outdoors.

So much fun driving up the mountain in the buggies! Rewarded with the most wonderful view when we reached the top. Tour guides were lovely and provided good instructions before we set off.

Absolutely amazing experience. Hanna and Ashley were both very friendly and super accommodating. They are also experts in what they do and have a lot of experience with the surrounding area, and in how to operate the Quad Bikes. I had a great ride and they managed to get some awesome photos, which will serve as memories for me to bring back to Wellington! If I had more time and money, I’d do another round and even give horse riding a go!

I was looking for a 2-3 hours activity and found this quad tour. It was great fun, the weather was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful, scpecially Johnno, the tour guy, who gave us his support and a very friendly guidance during the whole tour.
