Excellent tour. Our driver and guide, a girl from Brazil went above and beyond. The winery we loved the most was Kinros! 10/10!

Itinerary
The first stop of the day is at the iconic Gibbston Valley Winery. Gibbston Valley is one of the region's founding wineries and it's here that we will join a guided tour through New Zealand's largest underground wine cave and enjoy tastings of some of their world-famous wines.
Kinross is our second stop and a fantastic location to try a range of different wines across multiple labels. Along with producing their own wines, their cellar door host will also showcase wines from smaller producers and share their incredible stories of how they came to be. After your wine tasting, we allow extra time to enjoy lunch. Kinross has a range of delicious dishes on its menu, including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and mains. This is ordered and paid directly on the day, giving you the flexibility to order what you would like based on your taste and budget.
Mt Rosa is a boutique owner-operated winery and their stunning location is situated just below the impressive Nevis Bluff. Sitting in the vines, their newly built cellar door building gives you a sophisticated backdrop to a delicious tasting menu. Their cellar door host will take you through different varieties of their single-label wines. Their mulled wine is a customer highlight!
We finish our tasting tour at our fourth stop Ayrburn, where you’ll enjoy a self-guided wine flight in the charming Manure Room or outdoors (weather-dependent), surrounded by beautiful historic grounds - truly a Queenstown must-see destination.

Shanay our guide was great. Shanay was fun, quite knowledgeable, and she engaged everyone. She had great music for listening.
Enjoyed a great day . With our guide Ash , great driving . Great experience with everything organised and no worry about having to drive or rush from one place to another
Katy was an amazing guide and the wineries were beautiful. Lunch at Kinross was truly special.
Excellent way to celebrate a significant birthday. Great choice selection of wineries. Allegra was friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended.
Ana our guide was amazing. She made the experience so much fun and we had a great time visiting the wineries. The value for money was great considering the amount of wine you get to taste. We had a group of people on the tour, even all going out together after it finished. Would recommend this tour as a great day out.
The 10am - 4pm Wine Sampling Tour that we did with Caleb was absolutely exceptional. Caleb was one of the best guides I have ever had. Beyond being hilarious and entertaining, he was also knowledgeable and well organised. Thank you Caleb for one of our best experiences while in Queenstown!
We had a fantastic day touring round some Otago wineries. Our guide Amy was very friendly and helpful and made sure we got some good pictures of the two of us! Would highly recommend as a way to experience some wineries in the region without having to worry about who is driving! Graeme & Imogen
Had a great wine tour. The four wineries were great and the scenery was beautiful. Allegra our tour guide was very professional and fun.
Shanay! Superstar guide! Trip was amazing! Favourite was Kinross winery but Gibson Valley Wine cave was awesome as well. Worth every Penny!
Awesome day on the tour with Do at Altitude Tours. 10/10 customer service. I can’t thank you enough for a wonderful day touring and Do for being so informative and helpful at all four wineries. Lots of wines to try at each winery and lunch was absolutely delicious at Kinross winery. Shame the weather turned bad for the Aryburn visit which was stunning. Do’s driving skills were impeccable getting us to the front door with no trouble at all. Do thank you for a memorable day
Wonderful day visiting the 4 wineries. Our guide and driver for the day was Nicole. She was fabulous and really made our day a memorable one.
Shanay was a fantastic tour guide. Great day out.
Our guide Allegra was wonderful and answered all our questions about the region. Highly recommend Allegra with Altitude!
Ana our guide was amazing. She made the experience wonderful and knew all our names. This was so fun!!
A lovely day out to try some amazing Pinot Noirs and lunch at Kinross as well. Chase was a fantastic guide!
What a fantastic day. Our guide, Shanay, was fun, informative, and incredibly well‑organised. She kept everything running smoothly and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish.
We had a blast. Enjoyed all of the wineries included on the tour. The lunch at Kinross was delicious. Caleb was a great guide, and made everybody on our tour feel welcomed.
Really great day experiencing local wines. The whole day was organised perfectly, had a great small group, and our lovely tour guide Caleb was amazing.
Our guide Shayan was friendly and so knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun! Great wineries and even on a cold and sometimes rainy day the scenery was beautiful. Finished at Ayrburn and stayed on for a great dinner there with some of the others from our tour. Very highly recommended!
This was an amazing wine tasting experience! We had the wonderful Katy who was knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our day popping from one vineyard to another. Highly recommend!
One of our favourite days of the trip! We had Caleb as our tour guide and he definitely brought the vibes, making the whole day so much fun and bringing the group altogether. The wineries included were beautiful and the service was great. Perfect amount of time at every winery. Would highly recommend to go with friends!
We had such a wonderful time with Adita as our guide! She really connected the whole group and we all enjoyed each of the wineries as we became friends. Thank you!
Nicole our tour guide was fantastic. Great tour, we were lucky it was a smaller group on our day as it kept it intimate and got to know everyone well. Amazing wineries and wines. Overall 10/10 tour!!
Great experience from start to finish. Leonie was a super knowledgable, local guide. We had an in-depth wine tasting at each of the carefully selected wineries with enough time to explore each location (this included the Gibbston wine cave and Ayrburn). The food at Kinross was also faultless. Couldn't recommend enough!
Fantastic day on our wine tour with Amy our guide. She was so friendly and gave us lots of information on each winery, it was never rushed. We had a great bunch on our tour, so great meeting new people, learning about other cultures over wine. Highly recommend this tour and Amy!
This was such a beautiful experience, very intimate and thought through however still fun as wine tours should be. Very grateful for our lovely host Shanai who made it such an entertaining and educational day. Would 110% recommend!
Our tour guide Caleb put 110% into the day and our bus was filled with music and laughs. Such a fantastic day and great wine!
We felt so lucky we got Shanay as our tour guide , she was so lovely and knowledgeable regarding the area /wineries and personnel at each winery. A great day well spent, thank you !!
The wineries were excellent. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Thanks to our tour guide/driver Katy we had a great time. She was very considerate of our needs (it was so cold even with the alcohol). We met new friends and laugh a lot. It was a great way to start our stay in Queenstown. Thanks Katy!
Katy our tour guide was fabulous. The wineries we visited were superb, all small owned wineries. Favourite stop was Kinross Wines.
Sinchan was an amazing tour guide
Excellent trip made most enjoyable by host Amy
This was a great way to spend the day with friends, Do our host was amazing, and a way to meet new people. The food and wine were fabulous, would recommend to all.
Awesome tour with Caleb our guide. We had a great time and as well as great wine and food, we had lots of fun!! Highly recommend AAA+++
Such fun, Caleb did such a great job to introduce everyone and make sure everyone had such fun, thank you!
The tour company on enquiry and booking confirmed we would be going to Chard Farm, that is 6 of the people booking. Upon collection there were two additional people taking the group to 8. Shortly after collection we were advised by the guided that she had been told that morning we were not going to Chard Farm, she didn’t exactly know why. It thought it was due to an event at the winery. As would image the 6 of us were annoyed as we would have likely gone an alternative day. When we visited the winery two days later at an additional cost we were advised the tour operator had mislead us as we were informed they well know Chard Farm only do tasting groups of no greater than 6.
Ana drove us around Central Otago for a beautiful day of delicious wine drinking. The van was lovely, the driving sensational and the wine was out of this world.
We had an awesome time on the 4 wineries tour with Southern Discoveries in Queenstown. Anna was absolutely amazing , very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole day so much fun. The wineries were all different and the wines were excellent. We loved getting to try such a variety of local wines and learning more about the region along the way. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Queenstown. We would definitely do it again!
Wonderful tour. Our guide, Anna, with Altitude Tours was outstanding. She knows the area. She knows her wines. She is a safe driver and made the journey fun and interesting. She also took us to some extra out-of-the-way places to enjoy the autumn scenery. We went to four wineries for tasting. We had a very nice lunch at one of them (Kinross Winery). Thank you for a great day.
If you're looking for a fun day, this is it! From beginning to end, this was a perfect day touring the 4 wineries in the Queenstown area. Got picked up at our hotel in a luxury (Mercedes) van. Our guide, Do, was fun, energetic, and engaging! And she was super cool too! The wineries were top notch. We even bought a case to ship back to Miami and can't wait for it's arrival. We had a small friendly group and we all drank, laughed, made some friends, and overall can't say enough about this tour. By the end of the tour, we were all singing on the bus to great tunes. Look no further than here. Thank you Do! (I won't give away her name as Do is short for....you'll just have to guess when you go on the tour)
Fantastic tour and fantastic tour guide with Do at Altitude. Would particularly like to compliment Do on her thoughtfully curated playlist for the van, especially on the way back! The four wineries were amazing with plenty to taste along the way. Do's history and explanation of the wineries was also excellent. Strongly recommend this.
Wonderful day trip. The scenery is stunning in and around Queenstown. The driver, Beth, was on-time, entertaining, and helpful. Our tour took us to 4 different wineries, which means by the end you will have sampled 15-20 different wines! Pace yourself! It’s almost too much of a good thing!
We had a great day out with Altitude. We went to,4 wineries which was just about the right number for a day. The standout for me was Kinross where our wine advisor David gave us a great overview of the wines we were tasting and where we had a lovely lunch of a cheese platter. We were picked up and dropped back to our accommodation which made it very easy. Highly recommended
We very much enjoyed this tour, led by our guide Edita. It hit the balance of being both fun and informative! Initially I was concerned that the full tour (I think we had 14 in the van) would mean that our tastings would be crowded, however that was not the case. Edita also ensured that folks were able to make a quick introduction to each other, which offered comfortable talking points for the rest of the day. The four wineries we stopped at each offered their own unique experience in tasting as well as varietals of wine. The winery hosts were very expert in guiding descriptive and informative tastings. Tastings were generous and efficient. Our group was able to mingle and enjoy conversations at each of the wineries. Edita was adept at keeping our tour on schedule without making us feel rushed. She offered plenty of both local knowledge and information about the process of making wine. Time in the van seemed to fly by, despite the Queenstown traffic. Would totally recommend this tour to anyone looking for a broad sampling of the region.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our wineries tour. It is a fantastic way to get out and see the vineyards; hear from the growers/producers and meet some fellow travelers. Our guide (Chaney ???, apologies for the spelling) was excellent and shared her knowledge about Queenstown/surrounds (including great restaurants/cafes etc) that added to the rest of our stay. Highly recommended!
The first winery experience is not very good and should be replaced with a better winery. The final winery is set-guided. Would be better to have another guided tasting.
This was a great experience and highly recommend this - I am not a big wine drinker - my wife really is the one that enjoys wine - but the wines in the central otoga are fantastic. This was a full day - 4 wineries and lunch. Lunch is extra but the food was delicious. We ended up ordering a case of wine that we had shipped back to the US - the winery did everything - the cost of shipping was around $120 USD. Not much time spent in the van - our guide Katy was excellent - tolerating a lot of “tipsy” passengers blaring the music. This is both a tasting tour but also a great way to see this region. The venues were beautiful and the scenery amazing. Really recommend
The wineries were very nice. All of the wines were good. Their staffs were polite and enthusiastic. We had lunch at one of the wineries which was very good food. We met a good small group on our tour which made it more fun.
Ana did a great job of driving and ensuring our day was fun.
