We arrived on the wharf,with plenty of time before the scheduled booking time (good idea to be there at least 15 minutes before time).Staff were friendly and helpful,clear instructions and fitted with life jackets. Lucky enough to have James as our driver, plenty of thrills with this driver. Plenty of spins,driving the riverbeds, and good value for money. A must do in Queenstown
I am 79 and I went with my 44 year old son and we were in the front row. We had the best time. The 360 degree turns were especially thrilling. We had a great driver in Sam who responded positively to the overwhelming acclaim from the passengers. An hour was just the right length of time for this experience. You passed through various landscapes but always the Remarkables were there to remind us why they are remarkable. Highly recommended for all ages.
Great length ride up both rivers, driver Anton was a gun, adrenalin up for the ride. Rug up water and wind are gold but highly recommend this adventure!

Really awesome and thrilling jet boat ride. However as both an adrenaline junkie and animal lover points are lost for our driver aiming the boat at full speed directly over some ducks that were chilling on the lake towards the end of the boat ride. Pretty disappointed by this and not sure if the ducks survived. It’s a big lake and there wasn’t that many ducks so would have been pretty easy for the driver to avoid them. Kind of soured what should have been a 5 star, awesome experience.

This was absolutely worth every cent! We enjoyed it so much, I seriously considered another ticket for the next available ride. Do it!!!! My only issue is a problem with downloading the pictures but they are working with me on that and I appreciate that
very fun way to explore to water around Queenstown! boats depart from very central location. Expect a bumpy but fun ride.
So I should not have cheaped out and chosen this tour over the Shotover folks. I thought by the description that we would do @ little bit of both rivers, and we indeed did, BUT this company cannot go up the canyon like Shotover can, so we did not get any close canyon jet boating at all. All was open lake and open river. They did a fine job , but I wanted thrill of canyon jet boating and this was not it.
Excellent high speed fun! Watch the pilot very carefully for his spinning hand to signal a 360° boat spin. Or you could lose your camera! 😉

Make sure you take a hat and warm clothing. I got quite chilled even with warm clothing and rain jacket.
This was a fun activity, and one for which Queenstown is famous! The spins were awesome, and the pilot was sure to warn us when they were about to occur. The staff graciously moved up our reservation by one hour at our request. The only drawback was that the water was pretty choppy, so the jet boat kept slamming down on the water over and over - so often that it became uncomfortable. And just an FYI - if you want to travel close to the canyon walls, you need to take the jet boat ride that departs from a different part of the Shotover River (further from downtown Queenstown).

It was an exciting joat ride with spins, high speeds. Bob is an experienced boat driver who manipulated the boat superbly. He also gave a lot of information about the rivers and the technicalities involved.

It's a fun ride up the river, and I enjoyed it. But it is not the famous Shotover canyon ride that I was expecting. Hindsight tells me that i should have booked a different trip - I assumed all "jetboat" rides on the Shotover river were the same, but this one does not go into the canyon, whereas some other rides do. If you are apprehensive about a jetboat ride being too extreme, this is probably a good one to go on - lots of spray, fun, spins, good-humored captain, while feeling safe. Also convenient that it leaves directly from downtown wharf.
Great experience! Sam was an awesome driver and getting to explore the lake as well as 2 different rivers set this apart from other similar experiences. Highly recommend the KJet!

Great fun experience, great way to see most of the rivers, lots of donut turns, waves and big splashes. Be prepared to get wet,very wet!! This is no log flume experience. Totally soaked from head down ,too much really when you're spending the day in Queenstown, so only reason for losing 1 star. I'd recommend sitting in centre seats if you want to avoid a total soaking. Anton our driver was great though ,good on safety 👏

Easy and great tour! Since this launches from the harbor in downtown queenstown though, make sure you leave time to find parking and walk since there is none nearby (this is for almost every attraction here it is busy- so not at all a complaint on the experience!)

An exhilarating, adrenaline rush jet boat experience tearing down 2 rivers, spins, turns etc, a rollercoaster on water for just over an hour. It’s very safe and well managed from booking in with the lovely Sheryn and Libby which was flawless, Jamie on the dockside was clear in all instructions, whilst being friendly and good humoured , and finally Locky the jet boat driver who explained safety in the boat, hand signals for turns and other safety features. A truly worthwhile experiences delivered by a young, happy, caring and professional team. We will probably do this again, everyone loved it hence a detailed review.
The experience was awesome price was good the length of the ride was great plenty of 360s and lots of fun had a blast . The staff and the boat operators were top notch made it really easy and made it run very well
This is fun and easy to mid activity for most age groups. You will love the high speed boat rid and the spins in between. The spins arent too scary and you can easily hold on to the bars. A must do activity in Queenstown
It was sooo good! I probably had my best time here in South Island! It was fun to have a beautiful view while doing such an exciting activity!!! Wear the waterproof coat if possible.
