This helicopter tour was truly a memorable experience and absolutely worth it. Even though it’s a little on the expensive side, the moment we lifted off, I knew it was going to be something special. The operator picked us up right on time, gave us a quick and clear safety briefing, and within minutes we were in the air. The pilot was fantastic — friendly, skilled, and even took photos for us during the flight. The views from above Queenstown were breathtaking, with mountains, lakes, and landscapes that looked unreal from the sky. Landing on the snow was the highlight. We spent a few minutes taking photos, enjoying the crisp air, and soaking in the panoramic views from the top. It felt peaceful, surreal, and unforgettable. Overall, this tour delivered exactly what we hoped for: a once in a lifetime experience. Despite the price, it’s absolutely worth it for the memories alone. We would definitely recommend this helicopter tour to anyone visiting Queenstown.

The experience was short and crisp. We loved the time we spent on the top of the mountains enjoying the scenery. The pillow was super informative and told us all about the different spots of queenstown. It was an amazing experience and we loved it.

The flight was amazing. Great commentary about the scenery and history of the area. No snow but it didn’t matter. As a Lord of the Rings fan it was great to have pointed out the locations of filming. Such a great and unique thing to do. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning. Great team, friendly and professional. The pilot was hilarious and really pleasant with some pretty cool historical facts about the area. I'm actually scared of heights but he made it comfortable so I didn't pay attention to how high we were and just enjoyed the views. The ladies behind the desks were also great aswell. Out of all tours this one i looked forward to the most, even more so because it was my birthday & a once in a lifetime experience with my husband and our 3 son's. And it was unreal. Thankyou to the team who were absolutely awesome, especially to our pilot Steven who was absolutely fantastic very courteous and knowledgeable. I very much appreciated the myth & legend story of the Taniwha and how Lake Wakaripu became the great lake it is now. If your thinking of booking this experience, Book it!

Southern Lakes Helicopter were fantastic in arranging our trip. We had originally booked the Glacier Landing trip but unfortunately the weather for 2 days were against us. They were super good at communicating with us and in the end because of the weather we did The Remarkables trip. This was a fantastic experience and my boys (aged 7 & 8) loved it. Captain Steve was absolutely wonderful. Obviously well trained but such a fun and kind personality. My daughter was so nervous but was at immediate ease with Steve. We would recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Queenstown!

Incredible flight with Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters. The team was professional and welcoming. The flight went by very quickly, but it was a great (and affordable) way to see Queenstown and the lake from a new vantage! Only 5-6 people per helicopter so it was an intimate experience. Pro tip: make sure you check weather and book on days that look clearest :)

What a wonderful first ever helicopter flight with Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters - the Queenstown Remarkables flight was outstanding. The booking process was seamless and the staff superb, thoughtful and friendly with keeping in touch and confirmation. The helicopter was like new, and the pilot who had over 30 years of flying experience, was very calming, and very accommodating. It was a sensational experience and would recommend them - brilliant!
