This place was excellent!!! Our family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The staff were more than happy to help and seemed like a very collegiate team. Staying here felt like you became a part of their lovely community. The views were breathtaking from our room and from the dining area. Shuttle buses were easy and handy. Ski activities/ snow field buses 100m from shuttle bus drop off. 100% recommend. We would love to stay here again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay for our 1 year anniversary trip. We looked at many hotels in queenstown and we are so glad we chose this one. First, the location is great. We loved that it was quiet, overlooked the water, and was close to the airport and downtown area without being so busy with tourists. When we walked around Queenstown and saw the other hotels we were looking at, we realized how great The Rees location was. Second, the service was spectacular. The attention to detail was well done, with the amount of information provided at check in, as well as the thoughtful amenities and anniversary gift we received- a box of locally crafted soaps and products, which we very much enjoyed! Also, parking in the garage was free. A bit tricky to navigate in a big car since I am used to smaller cars but it was worth the convenience of being covered during a cold and rainy visit. Good food options for vegetarians at the restaraunt and room service, though if you are vegetarian and stay more than a few days they would get repetitive. Lastly the tile floors were heated!! I can't remember reading this anywhere so we were happily suprised. AND there was some fun way they kept the center of the bathroom mirror from fogging up - those touches really made me feel that this property was well worth the value.
A great location BF : Excellent service and the spread was good. The manager and the girls made sure they walked around and served the customers. Housekeeping: Not at all efficient. From tucking in of the bedsheets to the layering of the cushions and the pillows it was not even a pass grade. To make matters worse, my MAC blusher got stolen. I am very careful with my stuff and always pack it away neatly. In the second day I used it and replaced it in the kit which I left on the countertop with my other make-up stuff. On the third day I realised it was gone after I checked out. How cheap and desperate can people be. We work as hard as them, yet they steal! Shame on Rees Housekeeping staff! ( Rm:312-2).
Loved our stay here! Stunning views, luxe rooms with the comfiest bed and attentive staff. Every small detail was well perfect. They offer a free shuttle service into Queenstown and back making it really easy to get around town without the hassle of finding parking. Highly recommend for a night or two of luxury and breathtaking views
A great experience. The room was very comfortable, and well appointed. The service was excellent at every step. They are a little far from the 'downtown hub' but they make up for it with free shuttle service every hour. We were there as part of an anniversary holiday, and they left us a little gift in our room and a card celebrating the event, which was a nice touch. The views across the lake to the hills and mountains were really stunning, and a great way for us to cap off our stay in New Zealand.
