Eichardt's Private Hotel

What an amazing hotel! The rooms are magnificent and the location is breathtaking - right onto the Lake and in the heart of the town. Our room had a beautiful fire and a bed I wanted to take home! The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. I would say The Grille restaurant probably lets them down a little - I was expecting a more elevated restaurant with tablecloths and our food took a while. When it arrived it was very nice. Room for improvement but still 4* if I were eating separately.

This is certainly a nice hotel but for this high end price point, there is plenty of flaws. Mainly the constant racket as the property is far from sound proof and you are in the thick of Queenstown. At night you go to sleep (if you can) to the sound of partying and by day there is constant street performance, and lots of noise. To boot the heated floors did not work, the hot water ran out and the complimentary 5pm drinks turned out not to be so complimentary.

Unbelievable. These people really care. A warm natural refreshing vibe. Thank you so much Eichardts...you made our Queenstown experience. Myself and 6 staff spend 4 days staying at Eichardts Residence in June. This is a separate building a few minutes walk from the main Hotel. The Residence is simply a wonderful place to ensconce yourself while also having access to the super friendly service and amenities of the Main Hotel. Complete with expansive lake & mountain views; gas fire place and top quality refreshments. There's private garage parking right at your unit and location is very handy to the town's central attractions. This was a most enjoyable team building event for us and honestly we felt we were treated like royalty - my staff & I will never forget the luxury and the warmth.

I had such a meaningful experience with the team at Eichardt’s Private Hotel. Even though I was not a guest, Sarah and Marcos at the front desk spent about an hour and a half helping me when I was in a really difficult situation. My English is not very good, and I was quite lost at the time, but they were so patient, kind, and genuinely caring. They really took the time to understand me and help me, which meant so much. They didn’t have to do that, but they chose to help anyway. This kind of hospitality really stayed with me. If this is how they treat someone who isn’t even staying there, I can only imagine how wonderful the experience must be for their guests. Thank you so much, Sarah and Marcos — I will never forget your kindness. I will definitely come back to Queenstown, and next time I will stay at your hotel. I would love to be welcomed by you again.
