A professional walking tour is indispensable for those wanting to learn about the local history. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor.
Very much enjoyed the walking tour of Old Quebec, we took the tour on our first morning in the city as an orientation to know what to visit on our own. Our guide, Paul, was absolutely fantastic, presenting a lot of history that really facilitated understanding the context of the places we were seeing - dare say I learned a lot! Paul had a super way of presenting the information. It felt like the tour covered a lot of ground because there was so much to see, but distance-wise it was not that much area. Highly recommend, and well worth your time and money!
Our leader was extremely knowlegable and shared his knowledge in a way that gave me and my husband more of a sense of Quebec history. He was friendlly, with a good sense of humor. We very much enjoyed the experience. My husband and I are an older couple and we found the walking up as many stair cases as there were to be challanging. It might be helpful to include that information in the advertising.
It provided a very fascinating and in depth history of Quebec that made us further understand and enjoy the sites we visited.
Mark was our tour guide and he was very personable and knowledgeable. It is a great way to.see the city. I recommend this tour
The tour guide was way too animated, acting out the history of Quebec. It would be appropriate for middle schoolers not adults. Her schtick got old quickly - 2 hours was way to long.
The tour was very detailed, and the guide took his time to make it fun and informative. I loved learning about the history of Quebec.
Very good tour, the tour guide was excellent and really knew her information. It was very informative and insightful.
The tour was outstanding with a wealth of historical an cultural information plus some factual information about daily life from the early days to modern times. Not a huge amount of walking but you get around to be in or view the main parts of old Quebec. The tour guide was so good that the 2 hours plus flew by. Mark actually spent 2.5 hours. Did I say he was good, no he was best ever!!!!
Mark gave us a great tour and historical background on Quebec City and its impact on the world. Humorous and interesting. Don’t miss it.
Mark was a great, knowledgeable, and entertaining guide. One of the best tours I've ever taken. A great introduction to the history of Quebec City, as well as the province's history and politics.
This was one of the best guided tours I have been on. Jacques had such a wealth of historical knowledge with dates, names and context. So many fine details that made you feel like you had special insider info- It was absolutely amazing. I am so grateful I did this tour of Quebec City…I didn’t want it to end! Exceeded all my expectations. Everyone should book this tour! Thank you thank you thank you!
It takes 2 hours but it’s not a lot of walking so don’t be worried about the time .it is very informative and made good fun with points being given for walkers knowledge of the history of Quebec
Educational and entertaining. Please note at the end of the walk you’ll be at the bottom of the old city. The only way to get up is by walking back up a steep hill, or paying seven dollars cash for a cable car. Tour guide should tell you that in advance.
Very informative and articulate guide - like a college course on Quebec past and present. Was the type of tour you are sorry to see end.
Paul was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and very professional. It was obvious that he enjoys his job, loves Quebec City and loves to share pieces of its history and culture with others..
Cristian was a wonderful tour guide! It was a great introduction to Quebec and its history, and Cristian kept us fully engaged the whole time. If you do one tour in Quebec City, it should be this one! Much better than walking around on your own and not knowing the context for anything.
Excellent guide and visited the major sites entertaingly over the short period of time. Lovely city with long history that needs further reading about.
Amazing guide/Carole. So full of energy and enthusiasm and interacted with all the group. Very intellectual and informative history our with a great fun element
It was fun and informative and the tour guide, Louise, was very funny. The weather was great and the city is beautiful.
fabulous tour. Mark was awesome. Very knowledgeable. So worth the money. You won't be disappointed. The guide was amazing.
We had an amazing tour with Louise! We lucked into the tour at the visitors center (a hub of information!) and were so lucky to have her as a guide. The weather was rainy but Louise’s love of the city, the history, the architecture and the people was infectious. We really cannot wait to return to Quebec and take the tour again - it was that good.
It was terrific. Guide knew everything and explained in terms everyone could understand. The fact that he was a descendent of the orphan women was just unbelievable
We loved our guide Marie! She was so informative and friendly! We learned so much about the history of Quebec city!
Very delightful, learned lots about history not only of Quebec but also N America. Louise was an excellent guide.
My guide Stacey was extremely upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable of the subject matter. I learned so much about old Quebec and enjoyed it as much!!! 😊👍
Mark was an excellent tour guide - so knowledgeable, so personable. I can’t imagine a better guide.
Dress appropriately. It was very cold on the day of our tour with some hail or snow flurries. Make sure you are aware of the weather as we walked for 2+ hours.
Great tour of the area. Great energy. Would recommend to everyone visiting. Yves was an amazing tour guide.
Dress accordingly! Two hours in cold weather can be a challenge!! Our guide was great. Listen & ask questions!
Great tour with Phil. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Recommend.
Great introduction to the old part of Quebec with historical information told through interesting stories.
Louise was an outstanding tour guide! Very informative and taught me a lot about the history of Quebec…merci 😀

Our guide Yves was engaging, knowledgeable and kept the group together as we walked the upper area to the lower level. A nice pace, not too fast and not to slow. Loved the tour as an introduction to Quebec City history.
We had a great experience on the walking tour of Quebec City despite the cold and wind. Our Guide Christian was fabulous and brought the history of Quebec City come to life. Would definitely recommend this tour
We’ve had better tours but it wasn’t terrible. Our guide was very friendly but I found her information sometimes lacking. It was not an expensive tour.
The walking tour was amazing, so much history. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well.
Our guide took us through 400 years of Quebec and Canadian history, highlighting how the histories of Quebec and Canada are inextricably linked. It was informative and insightful and I highly recommend this tour. It was a balanced and different lens through which to view the history of both countries
Had such a great tour with Christian! He was so informative and had a great sense of humor. I have been on a lot of tours like this in other destinations and this was honestly the best one. I can't believe how much I learned across so many topics. The two hours flew by! I'd definitely recommend him if visiting Old Town Quebec :)
Guide was knowledgeable and we covered plenty of ground physically and historically. We enjoyed it but it was a very small group we presume due to the adverse weather conditions which did spoil it slightly.
I really enjoyed the views of the city and the knowledge of the tour guide. The people in the group were very good natured. It was real outdoors history lesson on Quebec city. We walked alot!
Phil was a terrific guide, full of energy, humor, and historical insights, and very good about answering questions.
Stephane was an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour company!
Carole was a wonderful guide. She was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, and very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
My three friends and I loved this introduction to the history of old Quebec and the beauty and charm it holds today. Paul was an excellent guide, who clearly loves this city and sharing it with visitors. I highly recommend this walking tour.
