Fun, great value, and the perfect way to explore Quebec City at our own pace. The puzzles were entertaining — only one tripped us up — and stopping at shops and restaurants along the way made it even better.

My husband and I like to take city tours when we visit a new place, but sometimes it gets a little boring following a group of people around for 3 hours. So today we tried this scavenger hunt. We made our way all around town, solved puzzles, and learned about the city. It was just the two of us so we could stop for a snack or check out a museum when we wanted. What a fun day!
It was an ok treasure hunt but some of the clues were very difficult to work out and for our first answer it was marked as wrong eventhough we input the right answer. It was ok to show us some of the sights but not sure I would bother with one
My boyfriend and I missed a guided tour that we had booked for our day trip to Quebec City on our trip here. We were feeling down that we were going to miss out on seeing all the amazing sights. A quick Google search landed up on the World City Trails app, and a scavenger hunt to self guide our way through old Quebec City. The price was great so we thought, why not? Buying this scavenger hunt was a highlight of our trip. It was knowledgeable, fun, and being able to complete it at our own pace made it even better. We completed half before lunch and half after. Not to mention the cute little food attraction recommendations. We are getting ready for our second adventure with them tonight through the streets of Montreal! This is a MUST DO!
I found the clues difficult to understand. I haven’t done many scavenger hunts like this so that could be why. My suggestion is to provide a bit more explanation of the answers like for example…
As the Quebec city Old Town is pretty small that tour covering most significant attractions at your own pace.
Québec City is incredibly picturesque, and this scavenger hunt made exploring it even more fun and immersive! The clues took us through cobblestone streets, historic landmarks, and hidden courtyards in Old Québec that felt straight out of Europe. We learned fascinating facts about the city’s French heritage while solving puzzles and enjoying the scenery. The freedom to stop for coffee or photos made it perfect. A fantastic experience , fun, educational, and beautifully designed!
This could have been the perfect way for us to see the city. We weren't sure if we each needed or own device (if you like to work as a group, one device is fine. It was nice that it was an option to use multiple devices.) The issue was the app ATE battery. We have two androids less than a year old and a brand new Iphone. All three went from full charge to less than 10% in a couple of hours. We had to go back to the hotel room to recharge our phones. Uninstalled the app, and the phones lasted the expected 24+ hours.
It was a waste of money, not well planned out. The route was okay but the riddles were bad. Also we paid for 2 but we only needed one, it wasn’t well explained. It was difficult to get into the app as the confirmation number needed wasn’t on the ticket so I had to contact help.
My boyfriend and I recently tried the walking tour, and it was the perfect way to explore the charming city of Quebec. We loved how the tour combined history, culture, and a bit of friendly competition. The riddles were challenging enough to keep us engaged, but not so difficult that we got frustrated. One of our favorite moments was solving a riddle that led us to a cozy little café.
My adult daughter and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with this self guided tour. It was an ideal way to explore the area and take in all the sights without missing any. Booking and access via the smartphone was really simple and the tour was fun and informative. We really took our time to explore and follow the trail, which suited us fine and a brilliant alternative to a guided tour with other people, which can sometimes be limiting. The content was great and well thought out and was very reasonable for the price.
Once we got the hang of the app, it was super fun! Would do this again in other cities. A fun way to see some fun sights!
Wonderful experience...Value for money. I saw the Chateau Fontanac tour for US $25 separately. $8 for 10 Landmarks was more than a deal! Puzzle at different landmarks incorporated English, Science and History. Great teaching fun tool for my children. Great historical lesson for me to indulge in Quebec city.
Nice way to discover the city and the history of Quebec
Very nice way to get to know the city, especially with children. The app worked great. It was nice to get a piece of information at every sight (also audio possible) and meanwhile it felt like a treasure hunt for the kids. The puzzles were just challenging enough and very varied. Definitely recommended!
Bit boring. Little interactive. The route is okay but similar is also available for free on the net
