Itinerary
The tour is held within the walls of Old Québec the historic neighborhood.
The iconic grand hotel that dominates Old Québec's skyline. A symbol of the city perched above the St. Lawrence River, it is one of the most photographed landmarks in Canada and a centerpiece of the historic upper town.
Québec City's seat of municipal government, a notable architectural stop in the old town
The wooden boardwalk running along the St. Lawrence River beside Château Frontenac. It offers sweeping views over the water and is one of the scenic stops woven into the walking route through Old Québec.
Tucked into the cobblestone streets of the old town sit two of Old Québec's most charming curiosities, side by side. The first is a narrow little building often called the smallest house in North America, the kind of hidden gem most visitors stroll right past without a second glance. Right beside it stands the historic Ursuline Convent, founded in 1639 and home to the oldest girls' school on the continent. Your guide brings the contrast to life, sharing the quirky, surprising, and sometimes touching stories behind both, the tiny and the grand, in one stop.
Québec City's famous Swiss clock, a quirky local landmark the guide points out along the route while sharing the city's surprising history.

Guide was Mauve, and she was excellent. Perhaps an improvement could be a little more background and significance of the Plains of Abraham battle. Perhaps also some reference to the one-time separatist movement in Quebec.
Pamela showed us what it is like to eat and celebrate like a local. She fun entertaining and very knowledgeable about food and Quebec History. The restaurants and foods we tasted were delicious, warm and cozy. Everything was amazing. Book your tour with Pamela, you will be thrilled you did!
Amazing variety of food and history! Claude was fantastic!
THE TOUR GUIDE DIDN'T SHOW UP. We waited 30 minutes and then went inside the restaurant and they didn't even have a reservation for us. We met another couple who also was scammed by this booking. Absolutely ridiculous! Do not book through this company, they aren't even located in Quebec!!
We enjoyed our experience with Samuel, who was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. Thanks
Maude was a great guide. She was very informative and fun.
Our guide Maude was amazing. Wealth of knowledge. History, recommendations, humour. Great tour. Highly recommend!
Maude was very knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend her for my families and friends as a guide.
Maude was fantastic and the food was delicious! We had a great afternoon and learned so much about Quebec in the process! Thank you!
Guide was great, great way to see where to go
Best food tour ever ! Great food, very knowledgeable and professional guide Thoroughly recommended
Vincent is an excellent tour guide. The food selections were delicious and representative of the evolution of food within Quebec. Vincent is very knowledgeable and it was apparent in what he shared about his country's history and its tie to the dishes eaten in the tour. He also included information about sites we passed during the tour. It was well worth our time and money.
Trisha was a great guide. Professional and fun! Food samplings were all delicious! Highly recommend this tour.
Amazing tour. Food is great and the tour guide is really entertaining.
Come hungry and ready to learn a lot about Quebec City history! The experience was a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend. Vincent is very good at giving an entertaining and informative tour.
Delightful blend of great food and interesting history of Quebec City! Pammy was very entertaining and informative!
Maude gave us a great tour of Quebec City. A great blend of history, humour and delicious foods. We met all three goals - had fun, learned stuff, ate well.
Excellent experience. Maude did a great job. A lot of history with the walk to sites. Food choices were good. Recommended. See most of Quebec City with the tour.
We went on two food tours in three days. The other one was in Montreal, and I wrote a review of that one. This one was fantastic. It got off to a bumpy start when we arrived in time for our 11 a.m. tour, but when I showed our tickets to the guide, she said we weren’t on her list. She made a call and said there had been a miscommunication between Viator and them and she didn’t have room for us, but that we could join the 11:30 tour. I’m not sure how that happens when I had a valid ticket and confirmation number, but oh, well. Anyway, our 11:30 guide, Sebastien, was delightful, and the tour was great. The first two stops in particular (La Buchette and La Bouche) were fantastic. We had amazing soup at La Bouche, and the duck carpaccio with a maple vinaigrette drizzle at La Buchette was so stellar that we came back for dinner that night and had more of it! (Great restaurant overall. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.) Sebastien also did a great job walking us around and showing us sights in Old Town plus giving us history and information about the city. The last stop was poutine, and I’m sorry, but I just don’t get it. But at least it’s authentic to the region! Anyway, it was super fun, and I highly recommend it.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the cities history and shared all of her life’s experiences and good humour with the group. Thank you Trisha
Vincent was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. Super fun and great food Thanks!
Sam was polite, knowledgeable, and a pleasure. I would recommend Sam as well as the tour duration and stops along the way.
The food was excellent and Maude was a great guide. I learned a lot about Old Quebec and its culture.
Our excellent and knowledgable guide, Sebastian, really enhanced this great trip. We tasted lots of excellent and varied food and learned a lot about Quebec’s history along the way.
Maude was a terrific guide sharing information about the city and the foods as we travels through the streets of Old Quebec. Come hungry for Thai terrific tour!!
Excellent overview of Quebec food
Samuel did a great job! All the tastings were well done and good. But I must say I will never be a fan of poutine! High carb
Great food, great tour guide! We’d do this again in a heartbeat!
The Old Quebec City Food Tour was a great way to get a taste of Old Quebec! The food samples were delicious (and nice portions), and the information our guide, Samuel, shared was very interesting. It happened to be a very cold, very rainy day when we took the tour, but Samuel made us as comfortable as possible getting us from place to place quickly. I reccomend this as a great combination food/history tour to get an overview of Old Quebec City!
Claude was a great guide. We enjoyed trying new foods and learning about Quebec history at the same time. Wonderful experience!
Claude was wonderfully knowledgeable and lovely. He was very accommodating and gave us a great overall. The food was exceptional… all of which we enjoyed. I would highly recommend this tour!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Maude. Great food to sample in a variety of restaurants. And Maude made it all very interesting with a great discussion of Quebec culture. Highly recommended.
Samuel did an excellent job of mixing history with food tastings. He packed a lot into 3 hours. The fall colors added to the joy of the day. On our own, we would have NEVER ordered many of the samples. We were surprised at how good ALL of them tasted. Our food horizons have been broadened.
Best food tour ever! Claude our tour guide was so interesting and our taste treats were amazingly delicious. Don’t miss this
Maude was an engaging tour guide as we wandered the streets of Old Quebec City.
Easy walking your. Maude was a very good guide. She mixed humour with history and information about the local cuisine.
Pamela was very knowledgeable and personal while giving us historical information about the city and the food was unique and delicious
The tour was a great experience largely thanks to our guide Pamela providing historical and personal info on the food and restaurants we visited. We were fortunate the weather was lovely for walking through the Old City. Everyone in our group of four enjoyed the experience and learned something new to take home.
Really enjoyed our Quebec history and food tour with Claude. Plenty of food well balanced with small tastes of history gave us a better understanding of Quebec and Canada. Thank you!
Excellent tour. Gude was awesome.
Our tour guide Vincent was great. Like the way that he incorporated a lot of history into the tour. The food was just ok for the ticket price. The worst part was the noise level in one of the restaurants. You could barely hear our guide talking in the crowded restaurant with music blasting. All in all it was good.
What a great tour in Old Quebec City. Vincent was very knowledgeable of the history and food vibe of the area. It was a great mix of Québécois cuisine from exquisite maple vinegar reduction duck carpaccio, pate chinois, pea soup and maple taffy, cream sugar fudge, honey comb tasting, oat risotto to poutine. My mouth is watering writing this review. Do not miss.
It was an amazing tour filled with food, charming restaurants, and architectural history. Trisha was amazing!
Trisha was an amazing guide, combining her background as a history teacher and knowledge of French-Canadian cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed traipsing inside the walls of Old Quebec with her, even though it was a cold, rainy day.
Tour was excellent and the food was very good!
Pamela was an amazing tour guide! Not only did Pamela provide us with detailed information about the establishment and the food we were trying but also with useful historical information about the city and province. She was charming and clever and kept us fully engaged.
Though it was a very rainy, chilly, day, this was a great way to see Quebec City. Maude was informative about the City as well as explaining all the delicious food we sampled. Glad we visited La Buche as it always seemed crowded. Everything was good. I was definitely full afterwards. The gnocchi was amazing. Recommend this food tour!
Good tour if you are in town for a few days or often. Find hidden gems and local spots to eat at. Great locations and interesting samples of food. Not a trip for a bad weather day.
Wonderful Food Tour with great food, interesting facts and a lot of fun. Went to restaurants we never would’ve found on our own. Sebastian was Fantastic!
