We had a friendly and knowledgeable guide who showed us interesting places including a reflection pool and a piece of the Berlin Wall.
I really enjoyed this walking tour, which got me to all of the main sights in Old Montreal but with the benefit of so much added information! There weren’t a whole lot of “hidden gems” as promised, but that’s okay, it takes a lot of time to see everything. We had a great guide and I would definitely recommend this company!
AM was the best tour guide. Got to see the best of Montreal and learnt a lot about it.
Great tour this morning from Frédéric. Amazing knowledge and very approachable with questions from us. Go early
We had a really great tour guide, Ronny. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Old Montreal. We enjoyed his energy and Awesome side excursions to hidden gems. Really fun.
Jack was a good guide. He was funny and very informative. He faves good ideas and places to visit along with sharing important historical parts of Montreal.
Tour guide never showed. We spent $25 to get to designated location but guide didn’t show. Visitor says that an email was sent notifying us of the cancellation, but I never received it if they actually sent it. Bad experience
I took this walk around Old Montreal with guide Darren. This tour was great! Darren, full of insight and entertaining stories, seemingly knew the history of every stone wall and feature in the city. The walk lasted two hours and was tailored to the interests of our group. I was amazed at how inexpensive the tour was. It even concluded with an extensive info packet on restaurants, bars, and activities organized by parts of town. This tour was fun, thought provoking, and a must for Montreal visitors.
Sandi was an excellent guide. She gave a very nice informative tour through Old Montreal. I would recommend this tour if you want a concise tour with add on recommendations from the guide.
Jamie was fabulous- so knowledgeable about not just Canadian history but also about the history and contemporary events around the world. We stopped and he bought us all amazing bagels! We also were given 20 minutes to walk around Jean Talon market which was fabulous. I’m not a confident biker but did fine in this tour. We stuck mainly to bike lanes and Jamie was very patient and watchful for all of our safety. I’d highly recommend this tour.
Frederic was a wonderful guide. He gave us a wonderful tour focusing on the architecture and stories of Old Montreal and a superb history lesson about the ebbs and flows of the constantly shifting relationships between the French, the British and the native people.
Anne-Marie was a great guide with lots of extra information and time to look at the different sites we visited. Very informative about the history and foundations of the city. We were very lucky with the weather too as it was a lovely sunny day. We also found the paw prints in the bricks she mentioned up at McGill’s University the next day!
Ann Marie was a knowledgable guide who kept a good pace. I learned a lot about the history of Montreal and she gave great recommendations. I had forgotten about the Archeology museum, so I need to go next time I'm in Montreal!
Our guide, Frederick was amazing! Besides knowing his Montréal history, he shared little tidbits about different people and the events of Montréal. One of the best walking tours we have been on!
Ronny was AMAZING! He made the stories come to life and gave so much detail about the history of Montreal. Gave some great recommendations for dinner and drinks. Overall, great experience!!
Very informative tour. We had a small group of 4 people, so it was very informative. We'd asked a ton of questions and our guide was awesome
Anne Louise was very knowledgeable about the history of Montreal. She was very engaging. We had a lovely time.
Fabulous bike ride through Montreal, Canada ! Frederic was our guide and was well informed on history. This you should not miss! Georgia was an extreme help and lovely to deal with. We covered so much area! Thanks to both of you.
This was an excellent introduction to Old Montreal. Wear good shoes and prepare to be educated and entertained
Organization and friend staff. Guide: She arrived on time of not early, and was very friendly and happy. She had a lot of knowledge about a lot of places. She also wanted to make sure we were ok before she left. I’m also very happy she was ok for taking my photo spice I was by my self. This is a walking so I would advise people to wear walking shoes and dress for the weather. A good hint is to go to the washroom before you start but you have spots on the walk if you need to go. If you in Montreal and you want a place for history I would suggest doing it.
Ronny was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered a lot of questions and made it a fun experience
The Old Montreal Tour with Anna-Louise was just incredible! Anna was a wealth of knowledge. And she was so wonderful to stop at places where we were standing or sitting in the warm sun (it was a chilly, windy day). We started the tour by meeting her in a lovely historic hotel (Hôtel William Gray), where we enjoyed a wonderful warm Italian caffè and hot chocolate. The tour was almost entirely flat—an effortless walk. There was plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. Ending around lunch, Anna recommended a restaurant that was a perfect way to end the beautiful morning!

Very engaging - learned a lot about Quebec and Montreal. Jeff was engaging. For anyone needing a limited walking tour this is perfect. The Old town is pretty small so very doable for nearly everyone.
Our walking tour was absolutely delightful! Our guide’s wonderful personality made the experience even more enjoyable. The tour was not only educational but also interactive and filled with fun. We explored stunning sights in Old Montreal and gained fascinating insights into the city’s rich history. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and engaging experience!
Great Tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Recommended for solo travelers or family.
Jeff was a FANTASTIC guide—so funny and engaging. And Montréal has such interesting history. We LOVED it!
What a fabulous walking tour!! We may have been crazy to proceed in 4 degrees F, but it was great. Our tour guide came prepared with extra gloves and hand warmers. Jeff was so knowledgeable and personable. It was fun and we learned so much. Highly recommend! Our 11 & 13 year old had fun too.
Jeff was absolutely amazing. He did a great job of explaining the history of the city in an interesting and funny way. He was super relatable and professional at the same time. Gave us recommendations for dining and fun after the tour was over. More than happy to take pictures for us. Even in winter this is a must do tour. Couldn’t recommend the tour or Jeff enough.
A wonderful tour with Jeff the tour guide, a lifelong resident of Montreal. He was knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. I particularly appreciated hearing about the cultural and social evolution of Montreal over its long history. Very entertaining and educational!
Jeff was an amazing! He is friendly and has a great sense of humor. He tied the history of old Montreal with current cultural and social realities of Quebec. He is also an enthusiastic sports fan! Go Expos! Go Canadiens!
Jeff was the best guide! We learned so much and he connected with us with all his knowledge. We were lucky to not have anyone else on the tour so it was just us so it felt like walking around with a friend. It is essential to have this tour to know the city, I would recommend it to everyone!
It was a great, interesting tour, and Francois was very knowledgeable! Next time, we’ll set aside time to explore the museum of archaeology!
JF was a fun and knowledgeable guide. He clearly knows the area and was funny and lively. We were introduced to many of the landmarks in Old Montreal.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was well worth our time. One of the highlights of our trip!
September was a perfect month for a walking tour of Old Montreal. Easy walk, beautiful architecture and an informative guide. Would definitely recommend.
It was just an OK tour. Expected more historical information but got a lot of “you should eat at this restaurant, you should shop at this store” and it was just kind of weird.
Great recommendations for other sites to visit plus restaurants as well as wonderful understanding of Vieux-Montréal.
Very good tour of the Old City with clear and concise explanations of the various buildings, areas, etc. François was knowledgeable and engaging as a guide. My biggest issue is that we started 15 minutes late because we waited for some stragglers who were delayed.
I really enjoy these kinds of local tours in cities that we visit. Francois didn’t disappoint. We had a really great walk and tour thru the old city and got some great information, history a bit of local politics, not too much…. If you know what I mean. He also had some good where to get the best views for a glass of wine, tips on old buildings etc.
Our tour guide was enthusiastic, knowable, answered our questions & had a great personality. He helped make the tour. I apologize that, silly me can't remember his name!
François was a very knowledgeable tour guide with oodles of historical facts and a fine sense of humour. We enjoyed our two hours immensely and made plans to return to some of the recommended places.
Anna was a great guide with really great knowledge of the area and history. Learned a lot about the history of Montreal and had a great variety of stops on the tour. Highly recommend!
Fredric was super knowledgeable and the private tour was well worth the price. I learned a lot about the area.
Wonderful experience. Simona our guide did a great job. Very insightful and entertaining at the same time.
A very wonderful walking tour of Montreal. Even through the rain, this was a very manageable tour and hit all the spots.
The tour guide was great, but Trip Advisor/Fitz Tours sent us to the wroright tour wrongng location and we almost missed the group. Thankfully we had a kind guide and patient co-tour takers. I loved the tour and Old Montreal.
Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. Anna is an excellent guide and her enthusiasm for Montreal and its’ history is wonderful! Thank you!
A fabulous and educational way to learn about Montreal. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our host was excellent!
