Wonderful guide…friendly, knowledgeable, well-organized. Beautiful city w so much history. Prepared us for our free time over the ensuing two days. Overall, made our visit to Montreal even better than we hoped.

Montreal is a wonderful walkable city with surprises around every corner. But what really brought it to life for us was a walking tour of the old town with Sebastian Landry. His knowledge of the city’s history and landmarks, his love for it, his openness to questions and sense of humor, and his ability to weave it all together made for a most memorable and enjoyable walking tour. We highly recommend it.

An excellent and informative tour led by the knowledgeable and charismatic Gaston! It has set us up well for an 18 day trip exploring the sights and wonderful cities along with the spectacular scenery anticipated on our road trip taking in Montreal, Quebec City, Ottowa, Toronto and Kingston.

Yin is very knowledgeable and really enjoys sharing the history of Canada, Montreal, and Montreal historical sites, as well as making recommendations for interesting places to visit on our own. We appreciated that she also periodically checked to make sure that the pace of our tour was meeting our needs for health breaks. We had a great time and learned a lot! It was the perfect orientation for our 1st visit to Montreal and we will be back for sure.

Michele was very nice and obviously passionate about Montreal. He knows interesting things but the two issues we had were: a) it was pretty haphazard and not as advertised as a tour of Old Montreal and b) he didn’t know enough English to be a truly bilingual guide. There was a lot we missed because he had to simplify his explanations and he didn’t quite understand our questions

Daniel, our guide, was personable, knowledgeable and added a bit of humour to the tour. he was happy to answer questions. The amount of information was just right: not too much so that you lose interest!! The sites visited were very interesting. Daniel gave us tips for where to go and where to eat - superb recommendations!!

Before beginning this tour, we didn't know a lot about Montreal but this tour provided the insight. This was a good tour to learn about how Montreal has been shaped by its past. The walkability of the tour was easy. When we were learning about a specific building or event, Louis (our tour guide) always made sure we stopped in the shade for the explanation during our hot day. Louis gave us some good recommendations for where to eat and visit during our remaining time in the city. We would recommend Louis and this tour.

We really enjoyed our walking tour with François. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared a lot of insightful information about Montreal's history, architecture, and culture. It was the perfect way to start our trip, as it gave us a much better understanding of the city and helped us get our bearings for the rest of our visit. It is a walking tour, but it wasn’t too strenuous because we stopped so much to talk about different landmarks.

We had such a fantastic time with Sebastion! He gave a variety of stops and lots of recommendations (with local tips) for places to eat and things to do. I would highly recommend booking with them for a more casual yet in depth tour of the city.

Pierre is amazing, not only the beautiful places we visited but also recommended nice eateries and also gave me easy directions to make my way back to my hotel in downtown Montreal. Merci Pierre.

My husband and I had a wonderful and helpful tour guide, Daniel. Once I explained to him that I am Deaf and speechread, he knew to look at me so I can understand what he was sharing. Daniel’s passion for Montreal, Quebec and Canada overall was apparent. We were able to feel free to ask questions. After the tour, he was willing to sit with us to review our Montreal itinerary that was put together from research. He made several suggestions and gave us new ideas as well. Guide for this walking tour was Daniel. What a GREAT guy! He discouvered early all the group spoke English only so he did everything in English. His 30 years as a proffesor paid off as he knew what the group wanted (in information) and what was not so important. VERY knowledgeaable!! Stopped to explain more if someone had a question, and at end of tour, stayed for those who had more questions to ask. BEST walking guide we have had in many years travelling. You won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time with our guide Frederick. He was very knowledgeable, explained lots of history and details while taking us to many points of interest. The time flew by and it was a good mix of outdoor exploration and indoor stops which gave us a chance to see parts of the city and warm up. He gave us many good suggestions of places to eat and drink after the tour as well as other things to see and do while in Montreal. We would definitely recommend him to others looking for a good walking tour of the financial district, warehouse district and old city.

Pierre's Old Montreal Private Walking Tour was perfect for us. Pierre very quickly sensed the kinds of things we were most interested in (mostly architecture and city planning for my wife and early city history for myself), and he adapted the tour for us. We were guided into buildings that we would not have known about, and we were shown landmarks that we had previously breezed by without noticing. Pierre provided us with great restaurant and retail tips for the rest of our trip and for future return trips. His knowledge of Montreal and enthusiasm for sharing it with us made the tour an excellent way to orient ourselves to an amazing city (even in the dead of winter).

Stacy did a great job showing us around old town Montreal. She spoke about the history and pointed out several good coffee spots and restaurants to try. We tried Chez Suzette for crepes after the tour and went to Pastek for delicious tapas for dinner - thanks for the awesome suggestions. Go for coffee at Crew in an old bank building - very cool.
