Great value, and a fun way to see the old city (Vieux Montréal). We are a family of four, and we split into two teams. Everyone had fun. This took us about two hours.

Itinerary
Starting at Place d'Armes, beneath the Notre-Dame Basilica's twin towers, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and step into Old Montréal. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. Place Vauquelin comes early, its fountain squaring off between the grand Hôtel de Ville and the old courthouse. Riddles weigh the naval hero's legacy. The Marché Bonsecours gleams next — the silver-domed market that has been parliament, concert hall and city hall in its 175 years. Trivia browses the stalls. Then the Old Port opens up, with La Grande Roue de Montréal wheeling 60 metres above the St. Lawrence. Around two hours over cobblestones, en français ou en anglais. The leaderboard declares the winner — poutine celebrations recommended.

We love these scavenger hunts as they get us moving and seeing things we might not have without it. It also makes the sight seeing more interactive.
Did this activity as a team building activity and had lots of fun!! Would recommend to others!!!!!!!! Have fun guys!!!!!!
This was so much fun and well worth the money. We spent 2.5 hours on this tour and walked about 3,600 steps. Anyone who is interested in learning about Old Montreal and is able bodied enough to walk up hills and on cobblestones should take this tour. We took it at night while we had some time to kill before a flight, so we didn't get to go in to the sights that were closed, but it was still a lot of fun.
It was just OK. I purchased to give my older teens something to so but they thought it was boring. I thought it was informational but not interested in the side quests. To be fair it was 85 degrees and we all wanted to seek shade.
It was a great way to get oriented in a new city. My teens were happy it was at our own pace and we could do it in our own way. 5 out of 5 stars!!
This scavenger hunt is really something to do with your family. We learnt a lot about Montreal’s history while having a great family time. Moreover everyone participated even teens.
My partner and I found this tour because we sought more affordable options. We were surprised at the quality of the experience. We loved this tour, it was fun, interactive, and educational. We will start playing in other cities that we visit.
My boyfriend and I loved the city and the trail a lot. We will be back with a scavenger hunt in a new city for sure.
Great city Montreal will lots of incredible landmarks to discover. The tour and app are great and we all learned, laughed and took great pictures to share
There's a saying in Montreal, "Plus ça change, plus c'est pareil," which roughly translates to "the more things change, the more they stay the same." This sentiment rang true as I navigated the city's evolving landscape with Explorial, an app that seamlessly blends Montreal's historical charm with its modern dynamism. The self-guided tour allowed me to savour the city's unique "joie de vivre" at my leisure. It was like having my very own "cicerone" (guide) right in my pocket. The Explorial self-guided tour is a stellar way to immerse oneself in Montreal's spirit, charm, and history. As they say in this city, "C'est le fun!" - it's a blast! I can't recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic app for discovering Montreal. The blend of history, culture, and sightseeing was perfect. Highly recommended for first-time visitors.
This was so much fun! My only complaint is I would have liked to see the location list BEFORE the game started. I didn’t know where to go until was answered all of the questions first and that was a little frustrating. Especially because we were in very unfamiliar territory. But, I learned so much unique and interesting facts about Montreal and we saw things we would have overlooked if not prompted in the game. Super fun and even the “bored” teenagers liked it.
We didn't want to commit to a 3 hour group tour so opted to try this out and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a great and fun way to site-see in Montreal at your own pace w/ information at each stop. Highly recommend!
It was a very fun way to see the sights of old Montreal! We really enjoyed learning the history of the buildings and monuments.
Vauquelin Place, Bonsecours Market, La Grand Roue de Montréal, you name it! Very well put together specially if you don’t know much about this place.
Very enjoyable experience. I liked that we could explore at our own pace, and not be rushed along by a tour guide. The scavenger hunt was very fun as well. Do be aware, though, that the app does not guide you back to Place d'Armes. It does tell you a general direction to head in order to get back there, but there is no map to follow. If you are as bad with directions as I am, you will want to have Google maps at the ready when the tour ends.
My cousin from the USA and I are looking forward to the next common trail. We loved it and for sure will try in another city.
Fun, interesting, challenges achievable, independent of a group, duration 2 hours at our own pace... perfect. Suggestion: others similar for different parts of Montreal.
I thought it was a little disappointing. It's more of a game of questions than a fun opportunity to visit the city as I hoped. I thought I'd see more places (the Clock Tower , the Jacques Cartier Bridge and learn more about each place. The children quickly grew tired.
Nice way to discover or rediscover Old Montreal. To do at our own pace with family or friends.
I already knew Explorial from Europe and now I've played in Montreal. Again a great experience, fun and informative!
Superbe pour découvrir Montréal A faire!!! Facile à organiser et mettre en place, ludique, interessant,
I had not visited Montreal in 10 years, and this time I arrived with my nephew. I was surprised by some of the details I discovered about the city.
