Great guide! A lot of information was given during the tour. We expected the entire tour would be underground but about 60% was above ground.

Katherine is a very sweet and knowledgeable lady, it was a pleasure having a tour with her. I recommend her for a pleasant walking around Montreal

I really enjoyed the tour. Silvia our guide was so knowledgeable and the tour was so well organized. The underground areas we explored were a surprise—well lit busy passages filled with stores and public artworks. We learned about their connection to above ground areas, their history, and how to navigate them. my wife and I as well as two friends went on this tour by MYL Detours of downtown Montreal and the underground at the end of September. The tour was very well done and quite organized. The tour guide was english speaking and did an excellent job. It’s not an exciting tour as the underground is basically malls under the buildings connected by many tunnels but is interesting to walk through and hear about its origin and development. We obtained this tour through Viator which has always done a very good job for us.

We were not sure what to expect. Darren guided us through downtown Montréal. Above ground and through the underground part of the city. We traveled many blocks during the tour, however it didn’t seem that way. Darren kept us so interested in the history, the distance didn’t matter. We wished we could have taken the tour at the start of our trip and not the last day. There is so much more to see in Montreal! Highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely incredible! I had no idea the underground even existed until I saw it offered as a tour. Very, very interesting. My one regret? I did not do this tour at beginning of trip! So many recommendations and insight given by tour guide which I wish I’d known on first day vs. last day of trip.

This is a tour you need to do to figure out Montréal. Not only did we see and learn about the underground malls RESO, we also saw a lot of the city and how it all weaves together. Our guide Sylvia was great. MTL Detours was easy to book and they gave very clear instructions on where to meet. Highly recommended.

Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. She also conversed individually throughout the tour. She provided great tips for navigating the RESO & Metro and proved historical context. She also gave restaurant recommendations & directions at the end of the tour.

Downtown Montreal & RESO Underground City walking tour: Catherine carefully showed us around Montreal Downtown, showing us tourist attractions and highlights. Her detailed knowledge of neighbourhoods and buildings was impressive. Then she opened up the world of RESO -Montreals Underground city. It was amazing. She carefully told us the story of how it developed as we walked through a whole new world, while also looking at the urban revitalization on streets above. Her detailed story telling was great , as well as answering all the questions we had. An eye opening enjoyable experience, carefully showing us around Montreal while orientating us to Montreal downtown. Catherine is an excellent guide-her walking tours are not to be missed. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience underground and on the surface. Isabel was knowledgeable, funny, and so happy to share her city with visitors. A thorough explanation of the entire underground, a lesson on the history and use of Montreal 's excellent subway system, and an above-ground stroll through the theater district, old Chinatown, the convention center, and the old city. Take this tour - you won't be sorry.

A tour not to be missed. Isabel is knowledgeable, funny, and very proud of her city. Be prepared for lots of stairs, but we'll worth the time - this is great way to get to know Montreal.

Darren was highly informative and professional. Fun to go above and below ground to the shops! Learned and saw a lot. We are staying in old Montreal so this downtown tour was ideal!

Lots of walking through the underground shops, etc.! Guide was fair. He insisted that the underground had no city involvement. What about building codes, allowed types of retail and other issues that a city governs? Rather disappointed in the guides naive understanding.

Lots of info and details about the underground, which is an interesting part of the city. There was too much unnecessary talk and emphasis on minor items, like he was trying to fill up the two hours.

Great tour of Montreal! I recommend doing this tour early on during your visit so you can make use of the RESO (Underground network), subway system and use the network to comfortably move around the city. Ms. Catherine is very knowledgeable and is a great guide. This is a 2 hour walking tour with tons of toilette along the way.
