Eric was great and the food was delicious!
Fantastic experience with Simone. Friendly, knowledgeable and great food selections. Good variety of spots and tour length. Bagels are a nice way to finish the tour.
Food was delicious and guide was fantastic ! Very friendly and knowledgeable
The tour was a great time, and had many samples of good local food. And our guide, Georgia, was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about Mile End.
We absolutely loved our Mile End food tour with Eric! This was one of the highlights of our time in Montreal. Eric was so personable, funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the neighbourhood. He made the tour feel less like a formal tour and more like exploring Montreal with a really knowledgeable local friend. We learned so much about Mile End, its history, culture, and food scene, and every stop felt thoughtfully chosen. I loved that he focused on businesses that were your mom and pop, family owned and it was so special. And the food was SO good! We got to try places we probably never would have found on our own, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Eric felt like family right away, it was very connecting and funny, his sense of humour was a big star for me, I really enjoyed him and all his personal stories and experience. It was a truly fun and beautiful time. If you’re visiting Montreal, I would 100% recommend doing this tour — and if you can get Eric as your guide, even better. Such a fun, delicious, memorable way to experience Mile End. We’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Georgia was absolutely amazing! I learned so much about Mile End. Big portions! 10/10
Louis was a great guide and the food was fantastic
Donna-Lynn was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, excited to share information and insight on the neighborhood and its history. The food was definitely a highlight. We were able to try all of the Montreal must haves, Poutine, Smoked Meats, and Bagels. While all were delicious, we enjoyed the ice cream the most. So delicious and refreshing. The tour was also accommodating to our dietary needs. Loved this tour and highly recommend. I will do it again when visiting Montreal.
Huge disappointment! Vendor sent an EMAIL to reschedule our tour late the night before the day of tour. Based on my previous experiences with booking through Viator I’m accustomed to receiving communication via texts or phone calls NOT emails. Therefore, once I received my confirmation from Secret Tour we showed up early for our scheduled tour on 9/7. When no one showed up at the scheduled time and I couldn’t locate a text from them it finally occurred to me to search my email. I located their emails marked urgent and responded accordingly. I also requested a phone call or text message. They only sent responding emails which were not sent timely. Ultimately the best that they could offer was a tour 3 days later on 9/10. I requested a full refund. Lesson learned- from now I’ll only schedule through Viator where the tour guides tell you upfront at the time of confirmation the best method to communicate, WhatsApp etc.
Received confirmation email yesterday. Guide was no show, no email, no call. Ruined our day!
The Mile End tour was amazing and great amount of food. Our host Luca was amazing and made the tour memorable. Definitely recommend!!
Eric was a wonderful tour guide. He had a wealth of information of the surroundings
This was by far my favorite part of my visit to Montreal. I loved the candid conversation, liveliness, some history, seeing little shops. Like it was great. It was a lot of food to try but I enjoyed every minute! Highly recommend. She was great!
Georgia was a great guide. The selection of tastings was great and a diverse menu. She also was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time on the Secret Food Tour with Georgia! Loved the mix of Montreal history and its diverse food scene. Georgia was knowledgeable, fun, and engaging the whole time. Great food and a really fun way to experience Montreal. Highly recommend!
Lucas (Luca) was an excellent guide – friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming from the very start. He made everyone feel at ease, and before long our group of 13 were all chatting and getting to know each other. We enjoyed a fantastic variety of food from a range of small, independent eateries, with a few delightful surprises along the way that I won’t spoil! We also got to explore an area of Montreal that we would never have discovered on our own, which made the experience even more special. The tour lasted around three hours, but it absolutely flew by. It was relaxed, informative, and very well paced. As most of the eateries are quite small, we spent much of the time standing outside, but Luca was always mindful of the local residents, customers entering the venues, and people passing along the pavement, which was much appreciated. One of the highlights was stopping at the microbrewery, where we had a reserved table to sit down, enjoy a beer, and cool off in the air conditioning—a perfect chance to recharge before continuing the tour. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour, especially if, like us, it’s your first visit to Montreal or even Canada. Thank you, Luca, for such a memorable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Georgia is an amazing tour guide. Incredibly knowledgeable and fun... Deliciously fun
The tour itself was great, and our guide Dominique was fantastic. Unfortunately our tickets listed the incorrect meeting place and so not only did we wait in the wrong place for 20 minutes, we missed the first part of the tour while we tried to catch up with the group once we realized that we were nowhere near where the tour was. Dominique did all she could do to make sure we could find the group and make the rest of the tour enjoyable for us, and she even saved us bagels from our missed first stop. She is a gem! That said, I was disappointed that we were given the incorrect information for the amount of money we spent on the tour.
Donna Lynne was excellent. Informative, low key and fun. There is lots of food. Eat a light breakfast.
Eric was a great guide. Loved the stories that accompanied the food. Mile End was a really cute neighborhood with tasty food. Would recommend!
Eric connected with us before the tour and answered any questions we had. The tour had some unique stops in the Mile End area of Montreal. Would definitely recommend this tour!
We had an amazing time on this food tour. Donna-Lynn, our guide was a montreal native and took us to enjoy some great food in trendy mile end. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a different experience in Montreal!
Delicious food including Quebec staples you want to try along with some great surprises. Lucas was an amazing tour guide - friendly, energetic and knowledgable. Family of 4 (parents with 2 adult kids in their 20s)
Excellent Tour! Chantel was so kind, knowledgeable and delightful!! We learned so much about the culture of Montreal through a perfectly curated tour of the citys best spots! The sliced pastrami sandwich with mustard was absolutely delicious!! Do wish we had some beer though! Overall, fantastic!
Louis was fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing.
Really loved Louis and his stories. We had a such a lovely time, family of 4 including 2 teenage boys. The food was all delicious and the walking area was lovely. Highly recommend this tour!
Enjoyed learning about Montreal history & culture while tasting authentic culinary interests of the region. Eric was an amazing guide who taught us so much. He was funny and very informative.
Great food selection. Georgia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, food and historical buildings. Highly recommended booking with Georgia!
Our guide was Louis and a lifetime here. We saw street art, bookstores, architecture, history and the FOOD. So much food. Highly recommend.
The tour was such a good time and even as a local, I discovered lots of hidden gems! Our guide, Lucas was really knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour fly by with all the interesting facts about Montreal and the various landmarks and restaurants around the neighborhood. Definitely recommend it.
Did a private tour with Donna-Lynn for big group of girls. She was so lovely and knowledgable. Also the food was so good! Highly recommend
Nice day with Youlia! We had several stops within the Mile End neighborhood—all were delicious and highlighted the diverse, melting pot quality of this neighborhood. Youlia did a nice job of providing cultural and historic information to the group but also one on one discussions and encouraged discussions between the tour members. Low key and fun. She was aware and accommodating of food preferences (vegetarian, spicy/not) and food was ready and awaiting us or up quickly at each spot. Very enjoyable on a nice weather day. Drop off in an active part of town with other shops and cafes to explore.
Very cool tour with some history bits and lovely conversations with even more interesting people.
Éric was warm, welcoming, and knowledgable. It was fun to walk around the area and learn more about the history of Mile End. The food was delicious. We tried a variety of foods, including bagels, Greek, Italian, and Poutine.
Great stop’s friendly host. Lots of history and info provided.
Enjoyed the experience with Eric. Eric is funny and charming and did a great job explaining the history of Montreal. We loved the places he took us for the food and my favorite was the Greek joint. Will definitely recommend and do this again during my next visit.
Very good tour to taste Canadian food and meet nice people. Boulia, the tou guide was very knowledgeable.
Eric was great! Very knowledgeable about the local history and culture.
Really excellent afternoon, highlight of our visit. Donna-Lynn our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the area and all the lovely food we ate. Very enjoyable
Fantastic! Great range of food and Eric was very knowledgeable.
I went with a bunch of friends, and we all loved the tour that Georgia gave us. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking into a guided tour of Mile End!
Nice way to taste sweet and savory foods from many different places. Eric was so attentive. He reach out to us before the tour to confirm and ask if we had any allergies. He was so accommodating. My favorite stop was for the Spanakopita! Make sure you go hungry!
5 Love combining history with food- Eric did a wonderfully fun job!
We had such a great time on our Mile End food tour with Eric. From start to finish it was relaxed, well paced, and full of incredible flavors. The bagels were absolutely delicious, warm and fresh and exactly what you hope for in Montreal. The smoked meat sandwich was a huge highlight, tender, flavorful, and perfectly stacked. And the cannoli was amazing, one of the best we’ve had. Crispy shell, creamy filling, and not overly sweet. Eric was an awesome guide, super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the neighborhood and its food scene. He kept things moving at a nice pace without ever making us feel rushed. The food selections felt authentic and really showed off Mile End. Definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting Montreal, especially if you love good food.
Eric is wonderful! He is so knowledgeable and all the stops were delicious! Thank you for an amazing time, Eric. This wild feminist appreciates you (and so does my husband, Phil)!
Fantastic day with Eric We started our tour with Montreal smoke meat. Delicious!! Peter was charming and show us how he made his sandwiches.Next stop was poutine. I love learning the history of all the dishes we tried but my favourite story was the how poutine became one of rhe most popular dishes of Quebec . The bagel stop was the best bagel I have ever eaten ! Then a secret stop( you need to do the tour ) and finally finishing with a traditional cannoli. We learned alot about the history of Montreal and had alots of laughs along the way . I highly recommend this tour
This tour was great! Lucas was friendly and engaging and so knowledgeable about the places we ate but also about the history of Montreal. We learned a lot about the city and had six really delicious foods we would not otherwise have had. This tour is a must do for anyone visiting Montreal.
Amazing experience with Darren. Full of great knowledge and insight on the city. Learned so much in the short three hours we toured and was easy to get along with and answered any questions we had!
This tour was amazing. It was the perfect balance of food, walking and history of the city. The portion sizes were great and we left feeling full and knowledgeable. Eric was a really good tour guide. He knew lots of information about all the businesses and history about different streets we walked down. We would definitely recommend this food to urge anybody who comes to montreal, and we will be going on another tour again for sure.
