This tour was exactly what we needed! We feel confident that we will be able to visit every attraction that we planned to see vis the Underground and public transportation.
Our guide Joanne was quite negative and talked very fast. As an example- in front of the Basillica Cathedral she said they charge $16 to get in. And the light show- 'they just do that to make money'
The walking tour was excellent, and our guide was very knowledgeable. I'd recommend this for a new visitor to Montreal who wants to have a 2 hour intro tour of the city and the underground. We would have missed this part of Montreal as we had not even thought about the underground with its restaurants and shops that are all out of the weather.
Wonderful, wonderful wonderful tour with MATT.. so knowledgeable and fun to explore with.. an interesting historical pictures as well. Thank you.!
Carol was a truly wonderful guide. She shared a lot about the history and made me fall in love with Montreal!
Francoise was a wonderful guide and told engaging stories about the history of Old Montreal. Highly recommend.
Daniel was an excellent guide. Super knowledgeable and helpful.
Very knowledgeable, friendly, good pace, took the time to ask what we wanted to see, would absolutely do a tour again with Darin
English: Outstanding 2-hour Quebec City tour with a superb guide. Highly recommended. Français: Tour guidé de 2 heures à Québec; guide exceptionnel. Recommandé vivement.
Very knowledgeable guide showed us both old and new of downtown Montreal. He pointed out many landmarks, highlights, history and culture.
Viator called me when we were late to our meet up. I thought that was great. Our tour guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable about Montréal and excited about his city.
Our two hour walking tour with Thomas was absolutely delightful! He was extremely well informed about the city and added so much fun and humor to our tour. He even brought us to what he said was the best cafe in the city- and we agree- it was!!! We would definitely recommend this tour over any other for Montreal!!
Sylvian, our tour guide, was excellent! Good humored, kind, well informed and informative. He imparted his love for this city every step of the way. We all learned so much and enjoyed every moment of it!
Our tour was wonderful. We learned a ton about this history of Montreal and were able to explore many areas, including the Underground. Highly recommend to anyone interested!
Thomas was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and charismatic! We thoroughly enjoyed his company! This is an excellent way to get to know a lot about Montréal in a short amount of time!
We booked a private 2 hour tour and our guide Thomas was worth every penny we spent! He did a wonderful job of customizing the tour to our interests. Very knowledgeable, friendly and we followed up on many of his recommendations for places to eat and visit and they did not disappoint. Pace was good for walking around and seeing sites and asking questions. Highly recommend you do this to get more out of your visit in Montreal.
Patrice was very knowledgeable, pleasant and able to answer our questions completely. He was very caring and patient when he saw that my husband was recovering from surgeries and responded kindly, always slowing down if needed and checking to see how both of us were doing.
Carolyn was a wonderful tour guide. We learned so much about the history of the city and the language. She was super considerate that we had our dog with us and engaging with adults and teenagers alike. Finished near the old town with some nice local recommendations and places to go for lunch. Thoroughly recommended.
Joanne was a lovely tour guide. I had two handicapped individuals with me and she was extremely accommodating, even changing up the route so one individual could participate. Very informative and a good introduction to Montreal.
My wife and I enjoyed the underground network walking tour. Our tour guide Nicholas was very informative and gave us an MD insight into the networks history and how it was established. My wife and I would definitely take this tour again and have Nicholas as our guide.
Wonderful and informative guide!! Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend. Thank you very much
We had a private tour with Carol. Our group found Carol informative and interesting to listen to about Montreal history, architecture, art and the local activities in the area. Thanks for the great tour.
Great tour with a very knowledgeable guide. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Out guide Christian asked for our preferences for the tour and answered all our questions. We highly recommend going on a private walk to to capture the history and essence of the city. We also highly recoomend Christian as a guide.
The things we saw underground were quite interesting, but I was hoping to see more underground, as opposed to above ground. Our tour guide Nicole did a very good job of explaining all that we took in during the tour.
Catherine did a wonderful job on our walking tour of Old Montreal. She was informative and pleasant. Highly recommend this tour.
Our guide, Alise was wonderful. Super knowledgeable and very good company. She started out by asking what we had already seen of the city so as to not duplicate parts of other tours and to give us a totally fresh experience. We learned a lot about the underground city and the city overall.
Pierre was such a congenial and knowledgeable guide! You could never figure out the Underground without his explanations. The history was fascinating. It is so incredible that just as many people as above ground are walking silently beneath our feet.
Sarah was a great guide. It was pouring and she was quick to adapt our tour to still make it meaningful and fun. Whenever the downpour stopped, we would pop outside and learn more about the sights and Canadian history. If you want to understand the Undergroud as more than just shops you really need a great guide! Thank you Sarah for a great day.
Got a good overview of the entire city and recommendations for more on our own time. We enjoyed the time with our guide and he was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city.
The tour was great! Perfect amount of time walking from our hotel to Old Montréal with a few highlights along the way for a large group. Perfect midday activity for a large group.
I loved this tour! My guide, Pierre (I hope I got his name right. If not, I'm sorry. I'm bad with names!), is very knowledgeable of the history, culture and developments in Montreal. He shared many interesting information and trivia about Montreal's culture that he made me want to move to Montreal! Lol! This tour should have been my first tour in the city because it provides a very good overview of the city. But since I had the tour after a couple of days in Montreal, the tour made me appreciate Montreal more.
Laura was awesome! Very personable and knowledgeable! Learned so much about the city and it’s history… would highly recommend
My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. Pierre was excellent! Got to know Montreal in a personal way.
Our guide was enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable, and most pleasant -- an ideal ambassador for Montreal. And he's probably one of the only people in Montreal who knows the entire Underground City layout step by step! We saw places and learned things we'd never have managed poking around on our own. The two hours flew by and we highly recommend the experence.
Thomas was very insightful and upbeat. He was a pleasure to be around. We are greatful to have had him as our guide. Ps: He was right about the pouting.
We had a great walking tour with Stacy. She was very knowledgeable and gave us some wonderful recommendations about other things to do in Montreal. Thank you Stacy!
Laura was a terrific tour guide. Who knew the Montreal Underground City was so vast. A definite to do if the weather is inclement.
Oscar was a great tour guide and went out of his way to show us things we would never have discovered. Highly recommend Oscar!
Excellent guide, very informative and friendly, highlight for us was the old town .Easy walk and I think it’s perfectly suitable for disabled people. Jean Michel was wonderfully accommodating and offered coffee breaks in between sightings.
The guide never showed up. We waited 20 minutes and called the local touring company. They had the record of our reservation but could not provide a guide for another 2 hours. I’m waiting for a refund. Terrible experience.
Underground city , an amazing and impressive 30km!!, guide very knowledgeable, educated and friendly
Really enjoyed this tour, it was nice to know about the ‘underground’, but the history about above ground was more informative—our guide Martin gave a lot of great information. More outdoor would be better but only if weather was warmer. As it was quite cold, it was just the right mix.
A fabulous tour of downtown Montréal. Without this tour we would not have known about the underground city. Our tour guide provided valuable information on how to see the light show at Notre Dame. Highly recommend
We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who gave us history and context of Metropolitan Montreal. Frederick, showed us landmarks and the underground shopping as well as the Metro stops. He was fantastic!
Frederic was very pleasant and filled with information about history, architecture, notable citizens and even shopping. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Montreal in the winter as we did or in the summer.
Being from Australia we took a tour to see the most of downtown Montreal - our guide Joanne we so knowledgable & shared all the history of the city. Walking all over downtown was a great way to see & learn about the place. Joanna went at our pace it was not strenous at all. I also loved that we ended the tour with Bagels and tickets to go back to Notre Dame to spend as much or as little time as we wanted there. Joanne also reccomended a restaurant for dinner & it was the best meal we had in Montreal. Thank you J
A private one on one walking tour with our guide Sarah was absolutely amazing and the only way to experience downtown Montreal. Sarah was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, knowing a great deal about the cities history, peoples and culture. We covered a lot of ground including the Underground city much of which was under renovation. This tour is highly recommended and a must do when visiting Montreal.
Isabel did a great job showing us the geography of Montreal's Underground, but more than that, she filled in the historic details that made the experience memorable. This is a truly worthwhile tour since this is a part of Montreal that can be easily missed by a casual tourist.
We really enjoyed Sylvain's guided tour. He helped us discover and get to know parts of Montreal that we had never seen, even as Montrealers, and for our friends from Quebec City, they were wonderful discoveries. Among others, St. Patrick's Irish Basilica, a must-see. And the history of Montreal's 32 km underground network is fascinating.
