Misha was a fabulous Tour guide! Her knowledge of the underground tunnels, shops, art, and metro exceeded our expectations. I would recommend this tour to a first time traveler to Montreal or a fifth time traveler.
Excellent tour guide made a great tour. She was knowledgeable and had a pleasant execution. Enjoyed the RESO experience.
Amazing local guide who loves her city
Excellent tour and guide-You can tell Misha loves her beautiful city!!
Easy, comfortable underground walking tour with Misha! We also enjoyed the quick trip on the light rail train for the city views! Would recommend! Thanks!
Includes walking and stairs as well as a metro ride! This is a chance to see places not on regular walking tours.
Misha was an outstanding guide! She was personable and knowledgeable. I thought the trip would be just about the underground but she taught us how to use public transportation as well. She shared maps and pictures! After the tour, she shared restaurants, shopping, and interesting places to see. This was one of the best tours we have ever taken!
Fantastic tour. We could not recommend enough!
Who would have thought that life underneath the city of Montreal could be so interesting? Misha escorted us through RESO, providing history and anecdotes while we saw an extensive new world of underground offices, restaurants, shops and, of course, the sparkling clean Metro. An added bonus included both a ride on the subway and the light rail train. For a different view of Montreal and a perspective on traveling the city during the harsh winter months, this tour cannot be beat.
We had a wonderful time on our tour of the underground in Montreal. Our guide was excellent and gave us great historical information. We saw incredible views of the city and she made the French and English language combination fun. It was a memorable tour and we loved it!
This is one of the best tours I've been on! Mischa is personable, knowledgeable, and efficient with managing the group & the trips. This was so much more than I expected! It was about the Reso, yes, but also an introduction to the Metro system and an orientation for parts of the city our group had not previously experienced. We started and ended on time, and it moved at a decent clip. Be advised that there are stairway ups and downs, and I would not recommend this for people with mobility issues. She may do a different trip to accommodate that, but none of our group needed those accommodations. We were 6 seniors, however, and though it was manageable, it wasn't as easy as it would've been for younger folks. Highly recommend - it was well worth the money!
Amazing experience . Found out a lot of new information. Tour guide was knowledgeably, friendly and made the tour memorable. Strongly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and learned a lot. Misha is a great guide!
Misha was an amazing guide! I did a tour with her in Montréal and had such a great experience. She’s friendly, energetic, knowledgeable about the city, and makes you feel like you’re exploring Montréal with a local friend. She is clearly very passionate about the city, and the history associated with it. She shared lots of interesting stories and recommendations along the way. I’d definitely recommend booking an experience with Misha and exploring Montréal if you’re visiting the city.
I had no idea what to expect from the tour, but it certainly exceeded my expectations! Our tour guide, Misha, was excellent! She made everyone feel comfortable by constantly engaging with us and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere. There were several checkpoints throughout the tour, and at each one, Misha shared the historical significance of the location. It made the experience both fun and educational while giving us a fascinating look into the history of this beautiful underground city in Montreal Quebec.. I highly recommend this tour—you will not be disappointed!
Misha was fabulous and informative, she gave us the best tips to use the transit in the city and even quizzed us a bit so we understood what she showed us. 10/10 would recommend ‼️
This tour was fabulous. I didn’t know that a whole “underground world” existed in Montreal. Misha was very knowledgeable and well versed in all area’s of this underground tour. This tour was more than I expected and more. Misha provided so many amazing stories and history of the city that exists underneath an amazing city! Definitely book this tour with Misha!
Loved the tour. Nice to get to know the real Montreal from an authentic local.
Enjoyed this tour throughly. Misha took us round on foot, train and metro. She told us the history of the underground walkways. It was a 2 hours well spent. Perfect sized crowd. Really loved the view of the city we got from the train ride. And she takes you great pictures at the important places.
Little did we know about the city we love so much - until you told us all those stories and shown us all those hidden places :)! Thank you so much Misha, for a great experience!! We would definitely book again.
An excellent tour by a knowledgeable and personable guide - Micha Pelletier. All questions answered thoroughly and competently. Pace was good and more written info on where to eat or visit given in the on line tour operators message site recommend doing this tour on second day as you get to understand how to get about Montréal without getting wet!
This is a fun and informative tour to take. Highly recommend. Misha is a very engaging tour guide. She has the personality, knowledge and sense of fun that make this tour special. She loves her city.
Very good tour gives you an overview of Montreal, some of the history and it’s just lots of fun. Worth doing. Misha is a wonderful guide.
A+. Very informative and personal. Learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience. Would definitely recommend.
This was one of the best walking tours ever. The guide Misha was amazing, both in her knowledge of the locations but also in getting to know her tourists and her responsiveness to us. She was charming, witty and thoroughly enjoyable, and we learned so much about the city that we never would have otherwise.
I really appreciate the extra tips about what is good to do in certain areas (e.g. sunset at St. Joseph's oratory). Also, the opportunities to take photos. And the extra list of places to visit provided after the tour! And pickup was pretty easy too!
Very interesting the guide was very informative. I had no idea about the history behind the underground city and what we learned and enabled us to now use the subway system, which is clean and beautiful.
Misha was great. She was very inviting and friendly. She navigated us through the under ground tunnels with ease. It is like a maze and only someone with her knowledge could make it seem effortless.
Educational and fun experience for all ages.
Great guide, thanks for the experience!
Fantastic and insightful tour around an important part of modern Canadian history.
Our guide was incredibly informative and nice! We loved the tour and are amazed at Montreals underground city!
Really enjoyed the tour. Took you through the city what explaining the tunnel system. The tour was educational and we saw several landmarks.
I took this tour on my own, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my visit to Montreal. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience engaging from start to finish. She shared fascinating insights about the history, architecture, and hidden gems of Montreal’s Underground City (RESO), making it much more than just a walk through the tunnels. Even as a solo traveler, I felt welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover a unique side of Montreal!
The guide was exceptional and attentive. A must-do excursion, highly recommended!
Misha was great. She really loves Montreal and works to set you up for success for your visit. Great tour for the first day to learn how to navigate the city better on the Metro and in the RESO Underground. Plus she shows you neat out of the way places and sends a great list of other places to look at visiting while in town. Thanks Misha!
An excellent tour, Misha is a fantastic guide with a vast amount of historical knowledge of the underground city. Highly recommended!
This was a really good excursion. We weren’t sure what to expect, but were very happy when we finished! We wished we had taken it at the beginning of our visit, rather than towards the end. It opened up the accessibility of using the Metro to visit all sorts of locations in Montreal. Next visit, we plan to use the Metro to get around more. Maybe someone should consider a tour of Montreal via the Metro?!
Great tour of Montreal’s underground city. Amazing how many tourists probably never realize the city that is below them. Misha was a great guide and full of good tips on how to use the metro system.
Misha was a wonderful guide. She provided the perfect mix of practical and historical information. I had no idea how much was right below us and never would be able to navigate the tunnels without a guide - well worth the time and money.
I would schedule the tour early in your trip to Montreal. The information was useful for the rest of my trip. Our guide, Misha, was awesome!
It is hard to believe there is an Underground City extending 23 miles under Montreal and started in 1963. Misha, our guide, was personable and knowledgeable and did an excellent job integrating personal experiences, personal photos and maps to help us "experience" using the Underground {Network} on an almost daily basis especially in the cold weather. A short ride on the Metro was a bonus especially if you live in a city that doesn't have one and you ride it for the first time. Finally, Misha's passion and love of Montreal is evident as someone who grew up in Montreal and wants you to experience her city. We had three family members on the tour and all of us had the same feelings.
Misha was a really fun guide: knowledgeable and bilingual, which made it even more interesting. The city is unique in itself and she put a good spin on all the sights we saw.
We really enjoyed our guided tour with Miesha and our group of new friends we met today. Our guide was fantastic and informative of the city’s architecture, history and culture. I really enjoyed learning and listening about Quebec’s history and our guide’s family history too. Thank you.
Loved it. Great guide and such interesting tidbits about Montreal! Definitely do this to get a basic understanding and lay of the land. Really cool
Misha was amazing! It was very cool to explore the underground city and super interesting to find out about its history and the history of Montreal. The group was nice and small making the tour feel very personal. Misha knew all the best spots to visit and gave lots of good recommendations for the rest of my stay in the city. A must do for anyone's first time in Montreal.
Really enjoyed the tour and Misha. Would recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed the RESO / Underground City tour and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to better understand Montreal beyond the surface level. Our group was small, with only eight people, which made the experience feel personal and very interactive. Misha was a fantastic guide! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and did a wonderful job creating a sense of community within the group. Rather than feeling like we were being led around with a group of strangers, it felt more like exploring the city with eight new friends. She explained the history, purpose, and evolution of Montreal’s Underground City in a way that made it all feel fascinating rather than overwhelming. What could easily seem like a maze of tunnels and connected buildings turned into a much deeper look at the city’s design, culture, and daily life. The tour gave us a completely new appreciation for how extensive and intentional the RESO network is, and it was full of interesting details, history, and context that we never would have picked up on our own. One thing that really stood out was how genuinely kind and personable Misha was. We happened to run into her again the following day, and she took the time to walk with us for a short while and point us in the direction we were trying to go. It was such a thoughtful gesture and only reinforced what a great guide she had been. This tour ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of our trip and a wonderful way to experience a side of Montreal that many visitors might otherwise miss. If you’re debating whether the Underground City tour is worth it, the answer is absolutely yes.
Tour guide adapted quickly and thoughtfully with people stuck in Montreal morning traffic or delayed by other circumstances to either wait a few minutes or reschedule their tour time for a later date. Started off with introductions of each person on the tour. Then went into the Underground and reviewed the map of the Underground and its 33km of tunnels connecting apartment buildings, malls, subway system, and schools. Walked some of the tunnels, noted historical references (e.g. chunk of the Berlin Wall provided by Germans) and architecture, took the Montreal Metro for one stop, went into downtown buildings up to the roofs, all over 2.5 hours. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
