City Tour; Afternoon In Montreal

Our Afternoon Tour in Montreal was excellent. Our guide, Harald, was outstanding - knowledgeable, personable, and sensitive to the mobility needs of our senior group. As it turned out, there were no other guests on the tour, so we four friends essentially had a private tour, which was a real treat. Harald is a fount of information while also being accessible, warm, and funny. He clearly loves his city, and went out of his way to make sure we experienced all of its charms, for example sunset from the St. Joseph Oratory. We learned a lot and saw a lot of Montreal we might never have seen otherwise. I highly recommend this trip and Harald!

Our tour guide, Fran, was both knowledgeable and informative. She provided an overview of Montreal's highlights, along with additional information. Overall, it was an excellent introduction to Montreal!

Very good intro bus tour on a smaller van, not a big tour bus. Good tour guide to give us a great overview of Montreal, as it was our first day there. Enjoyed the tour of St Joseph Oratorio, as we got to spend time in that complex. Would recommend this bus tour over some of the larger tour bus ones.

Great historical overview of Montreal. From the St Lawrence to the surrounding hills. Our guide was friendly and super informative. Small group of 8 allowed us to move from place to place efficiently.

Our guide Mounir was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. As my wife and I were the only people on the trip, we had a very personal tour. We particularly enjoyed the Mont Royal park, St Joseph’s Oratory and seeing some of the mansions in the wealthy suburbs.

Had a good time. I learned many new things about Montreal. Fran our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was clean and comfortable. Just 5 in our group and by the time the tour was over we had made new friends.

So glad we started our trip with this experience. It was incredibly informative, comfortable, and a great way to get the land of the land before venturing out on our own. The small size – only six of us – was terrific because we got to build community, get to know one another, and have a few laughs. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable on history, culture, and politics. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour and city tour guide. Communicated well before start of tour. Very knowledgeable and friendly. You will not go wrong booking with Harald. Cannot really express how overly satisfied. Small group of 8 people. Great stops and constant narration during driving and at points of interest. Comfortable vehicle. My only regret was that I was unaware that I could have book a walking tour with Harald.

Very informative and professional tour! My daughter was even engaged which is rare. Very flexible with drop off after the tour.

Jules was wonderful as our guide. Not only did we see the sites, but we learned so much about Montreal culture. We took the half day tour but wish we would have done the full day one.

This tour taught us a lot about the buildings in the urban and suburban areas of Montreal. We learned a lot about Montreal. This tour is good if you have mobility issues as we walked some and got in and out of the SUV, but not a lot of walking. The views from the Basilica were spectacular!

Fran was an exceptional guide, and our full-day Montreal tour—from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.—was one of the highlights of our trip. She was warm, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and able to bring the city’s history, culture, neighborhoods, architecture, and food traditions to life without ever making the day feel overwhelming. We covered an extraordinary amount, including the murals and creative energy of the Plateau, the Jewish history of the area and Little Portugal, Mile End, Montreal bagels, Little Italy, Jean-Talon Market, downtown, the Golden Square Mile, McGill, Mount Royal, Westmount, and St. Joseph’s Oratory. Fran shared so many memorable details, from the stories behind the murals and the history of Schwartz’s and the bagel shops to Montreal’s linguistic divide, its immigrant communities, and the transformation of former working-class neighborhoods into vibrant cultural centers. She also gave fascinating context about places like Mount Royal Park, Westmount, and St. Joseph’s Oratory, including the story of Brother André and the small original chapel still standing beside the basilica. The tour was extremely well paced, thoughtfully organized, and full of stops that helped us understand Montreal far beyond the usual tourist highlights. Fran made a long day feel effortless and kept us interested from beginning to end. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Montreal and would enthusiastically recommend both this full-day tour and Fran to anyone visiting the city.

This is a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. If you are looking for the history of Montreal I encourage you to try this tour!

Don't waste your time or money. This tour was not very interesting and in fact, was quite boring. The ride was uncomfortable (very bumpy), and the tour was way too long (over 4+ hours).

Our Guide Fran is excellent and the ride in the van makes the tour easy to handle. We truly enjoyed it!

Comprehensive and fun knowledgeable day! Our day started w a pickup and never stopped filling ou bucket! From bagels to maple syrup and an amazing guided tour of the Oratory. Wow what a full day of Montreal history and culture.

It was worth the money. Would never have made it up to mount royal lookout without the tour. ( we didnt rent our own car , used transit / metro instead). Our to guide Harald was informative and personable.

This is a wonderful tour of Montreal’s landmarks, neighborhoods, educational institutions, & nature. Especially if you know little or nothing about the city, this tour is for you. Francoise was our guide & she has a wealth of knowledge. Once you leave downtown, Westmount, St. Joseph’s Oratory, & Mt. Royal Park will elevate the experience. We say…don’t miss it!!

Mounir, our tour guide was excellent. He is fluent in French and English, and is expert on Montreal geography, history, and culture. He is also a gentleman, both kind and accomodating towards his group. Highly recommend him...would definitely book with him again.

The tour guide named Fran was genuine and personable. She was considerate and knowledgable. She was to the point and spoke clearly; she was familiar with the history and would add interesting facts at just the right time (I didn't feel overwhelmed with too much information). We were given an appropriate time to browse and use facilities.
