Even with wet conditions (not raining) we still had a wonderful time and a fantastic tour guide! AM pulled from her living experiences and shared some great knowledge especially about how the area transformed. Absolutely enjoyable! E-Bikes were a treat

We had a great time on this bike tour. Michel our guide was great and it didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect.
Bike tours are always a great way to learn about history. Just keep in mind that there are parts of the tour that do not have designated bike lanes, so there is some road traffic but nothing to be too concerned about.
Had a wonderful time in this bike tour. Darren art tour guide was excellent. He took the time to stop along the way and give us great explanations in the history of Montreal. Would recommend this to her highly. We are both in 60s, and it was not an issue at all.
Despite the rain, the tour was great. Darren was a fantastic guide and very informative and helpful.
Excellent bike tour with Darren - highly recommended
Incredibly fun! The e-bikes were a great way to travel. Anne Marie was an awesome guide. You can tell she loves this city. The scenery did not disappoint & the stop for wood fired bagels & the Market were exceptional treats. The staff were exceedingly accommodating & very kind. The little bakery/coffee shop inside was a genuine plus.
Rufus was amazing! We had the best time. So fun and informational.
Darren was great! So fun & informative!
Wow, Darren was a great guide from start to finish. E-bike renting and riding went smoothly and easily. We learned interesting facts and stories about Montreal.
Darren was a great guide!! Cheers!
Great way to explore the city, see the neighborhoods, and take advantage of ALL the bike routes in Montreal.
Great fun! Our tour guide Darren was a great host, and he led us expertly through some lovely neighborhoods.
Excellent tour with Darren ! Very knowledgeable
Darren was amazing and had great knowledge and even better jokes.
A highlight of our visit to Montreal and the Laurentians. Our family of four including 13 and 15 year olds were engaged and entertained. Our guide, Ana, was thoughtful, fun, well educated and kept us safe throughout our tour. We loved zipping along the bike lanes, stopping for a Montreal bagels and time to tour the Jean-Talon Market on our own. I will strongly recommend this tour to anyone I know who plans to visit Montreal. It was a great way to get to know the city.
Lots of fun.....take the e-bike if you're unfit like me although there are very few hills. Darren was very informative
We had an outstanding experience with Fitz Bike Tours! Before our trip, I called because we were traveling with our 11- and 15-year-old sons and wanted a ride that would be interesting, safe, and enjoyable for the whole family. The staff member I spoke with recommended the Hidden Gems Tour and even helped us book it over the phone. After taking an Uber to the meeting point, we were greeted by our guide, Martin, who was warm, joyful, and welcoming from the very first moment. He learned everyone's names, walked us over to a map to orient us to Montreal, and shared just enough history to get us excited before we even got on our bikes. The bikes and helmets were in excellent condition, and Martin made sure everyone was properly fitted before we headed out. Throughout the ride, he was incredibly attentive, always making sure our family was safe, keeping the group together, and checking that no one got left behind. As parents riding in an unfamiliar city with kids, we really appreciated that. The tour itself was fantastic. We rode through beautiful, colorful neighborhoods and stopped at places that were both historically significant and genuinely interesting. One highlight was visiting one of Montreal's oldest bagel shops! Martin's love for the city he grew up in was contagious. He wasn't just reciting facts—he was sharing stories and showing us the places that make Montreal special. He also gave us about 30 minutes to explore Jean-Talon Market, where we had the most incredible sorbet and some unbelievably fresh cherries. Between the food, the neighborhoods, the history, and the people-watching, we found ourselves falling in love with Montreal. Our 11-year-old had a blast. Our 15-year-old loved it. My husband and I appreciated all the history and local insight. By the end of the tour, we were already talking about coming back—and even joking that maybe one of our sons should go to university here someday! Martin is an exceptional guide and a wonderful ambassador for Montreal. If you're looking for a bike tour that feels authentic, safe, and memorable, I can't recommend Fitz Bike Tours highly enough.
My wife and I have found that a bike tour is a nice way to see the neighborhoods of a city so this is a regular thing for us. We got to see a number of interesting areas and eat a bit of food as well. The guide was informative. If you are looking for a real bike ride this is probably not for you but if you want a relaxing tour this is it.
Excellent bike tour. Saw parts of Montreal we wouldn’t have seen without our guide Darren’s knowledge. He was very informative and kept the group at a relaxed pace. Really enjoyed the market and the bagel shop. Thanks for a great afternoon.
This was such a great tour! Darren was awesome. Super knowledgeable. Really good, enjoyed the stops and the variety of paths we took.
Amazing bike tour in the heart of Montreal with Andre our guide. He knows his stuff, adds humour to the stories and is very proud of his city. The tour captures the heart and soul of the area and the bikes and route were great to travel on - there is even a stop for the famous St. Viateur bagels. I would 100% recommend booking with Fitz and seeing what the city has to offer!
5 stars all day. This was INCREDIBLE. Small group, bikes were super comfortable and made the hills effortless, and Fitz's team knows how to show you the Montreal most tourists miss. We rode through the Plateau with those beautiful colorful houses (like in the photo), Mile-End for street art, Little Italy and finished at Jean-Talon Market. Great mix of history, culture and food stops - including the famous Montreal bagel. Rodrigo was knowledgeable, professional, set an easy pace and made this 100% worth it. If you do one tour in Montreal, do this one.
Had a great bike ride around the Plateau and Mile End - Rufus was an amazing guide, with both native tips/culture and also was super knowledgeable on Montreal history. Highly recommend!
Our electric bike ride provided an easy and safe way to see a different part of Montreal. Lots of parks, houses and murals/art along the route. Anne-Louise was a friendly and informative tour guide.
Great day riding bikes! Anne-Louise was our guide and did a fabulous job showing us the sites.
We had a wonderful bike tour with Anna Louise. She was actually our guide for 2 tours one on downtown Montreal and a second that toured the Hidden gems in several neighborhoods surrounding Montreal. Both we great tours seeing very different places. Highly recommend
Absolutely lovely! Great to get out of City Center and explore greater Montreal. Our guide Rufus is as good as it gets! He was so knowledgeable. And passionate. Great at working with our group of 10 cyclists through park paths, bike lanes and busy roads. I’m an experienced cyclist and he did a wonderful job with everyone!
We loved our tour with AM in the am. She showed us all the sights in the lesser-known areas of Montreal and kept a nice pace. Very scenic and we felt safe even in a bit of rain along the way. Learned about Montreal and had some exercise. Great way to start the day.
Walking tours let you see monuments. Biking tours let you see neighborhoods. They're just such a nice way to cover a lot of the city. We had an absolutely gorgeous Sunday morning ride with Felix, and he was an excellent guide. We visited so many places, and he gave us great recommendations for a follow up ride (which we did by ourselves 2 days later). We've really learned a lot more about Montreal than we expected to. We've been here a week with friends and this was everybody's favorite activity that we did.
We had such a great time with Fitz Montréal Bike Tours, and it ended up being one of our favourite experiences during our trip. Our tour guide, Sandy, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. She took us through interesting neighbourhoods and places we probably would not have discovered on our own, while sharing stories about Montréal’s history, culture, and local life. I also really appreciated how kind and accommodating the whole team was. They took the time to find a bike that was suitable and comfortable for my height, which made such a difference and allowed me to enjoy the tour without worrying. The pace was comfortable, the route was enjoyable, and it was such a fun way to explore a different side of Montréal. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see more than just the usual tourist spots.
What a wonderful way to learn about Montreal! Our guide Felix was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, funny, supportive, inclusive, and more. Our regular (non-e) bikes were very comfortable and it was such a pleasure to bike and learn together. This was our family’s favorite part of the trip. Highly recommend it!
If you want to experience the true soul of Montreal from a local perspective, look no further than this bike tour. We had the pleasure of having Jeff as our guide and he was the best! From the very beginning, Jeff was incredibly friendly and approachable, making the entire group feel right at home. What really set this tour apart, however, was Jeff’s depth of knowledge. As a college history professor in his "day job," he brought such a fascinating, intellectual perspective to the city’s diverse ethnic neighborhoods. It was a highlight to hear him share personal stories about his own Portuguese heritage from his grandparents emigration to Canada in the 50s to his Portuguese Canadian life experience and how it connects to the history of the city. It added such a rich, human element to the experience. The pacing of the tour was absolutely perfect. It struck the ideal balance between just enough exercise (a light work-out) and plenty of well-timed stops to experience neighborhoods off the beaten path. Snacks along the way were a fantastic touch! We couldn't have asked for a better way to see Montreal and cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you, Jeff, for such a wonderful memory!
Super easy, very friendly, knowledgeable and took us to where we wanted to go and more (places we didn’t know much). Anne-Marie (AM) is very cool and took care of all 9 of us, adults from different parts of North America. Highly recommended!
Great tour. Good fun. Chris was the best!
to say it was the highlight of the trip is an understatement! we took this ride on our second day of a 5 day trip and it was a great choice to get more background on the areas we were planning to spend our time in, but we actually toured so many more places than i could have imagined. will never forget that fresh from the oven bagel 🤤 JF was the best tour guide, we were lucky to have a tour just for my partner and i and he tailored the tour just for us based on our interests. JF is extremely knowledgeable about Montreal and showed us so many hidden gems we are going to have to come back to properly explore them all! also can’t speak enough about how friendly and accommodating the city is in general but particularly to bikes, i never had an issue despite some anxiety about city riding beforehand, and we succeeded in not getting honked at once 😂
We had the absolute BEST time with our guide JF doing the Hidden Gems Bike Tour. His enthusiasm and love for the city really makes the tour so much more personal than just the facts/history of Montreal - of which he has extensive knowledge as well! He showed us so many spots we absolutely never would have known about or noticed without being led there directly, in addition to hitting up some of the city’s most well-known spots like Jean Talon Market and St. Viateur Bagel Shop (so delicious!). We felt completely comfortable and safe cycling, even though it had been some years since we’d gotten on a bike. The city itself is incredibly cyclist-friendly, but JF’s confident leadership and expert navigation made it an absolute worry-free experience. This was my 2nd time doing a tour with Fitz Montreal and both times it’s been the #1 highlight of my trip. If you visit Montreal and DON’T do a tour with them, you’re missing out on something so, so special. I told JF at the end of the tour that I was so happy I could cry. We got an accidental private tour with just the two of us, but my previous tour of The Highlights was a larger group; both experiences were absolutely incredible. Even though I’ve done both of the tours they currently offer, there is no doubt in my mind that on my next visit to Montreal I will do one of them again. Highly recommend!!!
Darren did a great job showing us what it would be like to live in the less explored neighborhoods of Montreal.
Great bike tour with Anna! Awesome way to see Montreal, will recommend to anyone I know who is coming here.
ann marie is the best. ann marie took us on so many beautiful bike routes. ann marie kept us safe. ann marie shared her intimate knowledge of her favorite food and drink stops. i recommend ann marie for the Fitz bike tour.
Well organized, very friendly. Very convenient stopes full of stories and history of the neighborhoods. At all times my friends and I felt safe. Well done!
First time to Montréal and booked this tour to see more than just the downtown area where we were staying. We lucked out and had amazing weather. The tour was really great - so cool to see so much in a few hours. Tour guide Jeff was awesome! Really enjoyed the stops - the bagels were perfect. You do need to make sure you feel at least a little comfortable navigating car and bike traffic as well as traffic rules since the group does get a little spread out. We decided on the e-bikes which was a great call because it made us feel more alert toward the end of the tour instead of worn out. Just wish they had baskets too :)
Fantastic tour with electric bikes, excellently paced and very knowledgeable passionate guide Martin, thank you!
I pleasant knowledgeable guide who looked after us, showing us north of Montreal and the markets, while teaching me how to use an electronic bike and making sure we were safe on the roads
We enjoyed our tour of the plateau and other local areas. I was hoping for a little more architecture highlights and great photo Ops than we got however. Our guide was very knowledgeable though on Montreal life and society, bicycle infrastructure and the like. Fitz is obviously evnvolved in the good fight to promote safe cycling for all- and we need more of that, everywhere!
Martin was lovely! Such a great way to see Montreal and so many neighborhoods!! Plus the bagels are yummy!! E-bikes were a great addition too!
Jeff was our guide. We had a great tour on beautiful day. Very informative &we loved the bagels! The marche jean-talon was lovely. I wish we could have had more time there.
5 out of 5. Frederic was a fantastic bike tour guide. It was very relaxing and comfortable ride. I was with husband and we highly recommend it.
Exploring Montreal by e-bike was a great way to get the lay of the land and become familiar with the city’s diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. Our tour was the same day as the Montreal Marathon which had closed many streets, but our guide did an amazing job of finding alternate routes to the various stops. We didn’t miss a thing! We especially enjoyed the warm bagels and visiting the Jean Talon market. The route was easy, and was mostly flat, but the e-bikes were appreciated on a few slight inclines and when we were getting tired.
Andre is a very professional guide and we learned a ton of info about the development of Montreal and its history. Thankyou!
