I believe this is a recent addition to the Marriott portfolio. It’s located in what I was told was the ‘lower town’ there are a couple of bars nearby. The parking garage is very tight if you have a slightly large car, my rental VW Taos found if difficult to negotiate the corners, but ‘nuff said about that. The room I had on the 16th floor had a magnificent view of St Roch Church behind the hotel and I could see the Chateau Frontenac in the distance. The room was huge, had a walk in shower, a Nespresso coffee machine and the ubiquitous 6 feet wide bed. The bed was very soft, too soft but for a couple of nights (3) can be tolerated. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple if times. First time was not so great, the trout Wes served lukewarm. But the next time, my wife had steak and I took the mac n cheese with lobster. Very nice. Being an elite member of the Marriott Bonvoy club, I was offered a choice of complimentary breakfast. If you go there, take the ‘yoghurt bowl’ it is very tasty and comprises yoghurt, granola, lots of fruit, chia seeds and a generous pot of maple syrup. And the restaurant staff were very welcoming. Now here comes the but that made this hotel special for me. Driving around the old Quebec City, my rental car suffered a puncture. I called Avis who connected me with VW who were responsible for replacing the wheel because it’s a brand new car. I was on hold for 20 minutes and then credit ran out on my uk cell phone. I had free data available but no ‘talk minutes’ that cost £1 per minute to make any call (C$2). I got an Uber to take me and my wife back to the hotel. Then to cut a long story short, the hotel receptionist took over negotiating with Avis and VW and managed to arrange on my behalf fro the recovery guy to meet me at the car and get the wheel swapped over. I cannot thank them enough. I’m sorry, I don’t have their names but they’ll remember me.

Would give an 8.5/10 for this nice 4 start hotel. Room was nice and spacious - got a beautiful view w their large windows. Like the comfortable chair. The bed was also very comfortable w nice sheets. Like the little lights they have everywhere to brighten up the room. Bathroom was fine but the tub is very high and slippery with no grab bar. Also, was very difficult to adjust the water temperature. Had problems using their older safe. Pool and exercise room was nice. Great they had a good coffee shop downstairs. Garage was very convenient, safe and spacious but didn't like they added $4 ea day for other parking charges. Good they didn't have any "facilities fee" that some other hotels add on. Overall, very happy w our 3 nights there.
As someone who travels extensively for work, I stay at Hôtel PUR approximately every five weeks, and it has genuinely become my home away from home in Québec City. The hotel is consistently beautifully maintained, modern, warm and inviting. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer absolutely breathtaking views of Québec City. There is something pretty special about waking up to that view! What truly distinguishes Hôtel PUR, however, is the customer experience. The reception team is always courteous, professional and genuinely welcoming. Every interaction feels natural and personalized rather than transactional. The team consistently demonstrates attentiveness, efficiency and a sincere desire to make each stay as enjoyable and seamless as possible — exactly what exceptional hospitality should feel like. A very special mention must go to Jacques, whose warm welcome has become one of the highlights of my stays. He is always incredibly polite, engaging and attentive, and his recommendations for restaurants and things to discover around Québec City are consistently excellent. He has an effortless way of making guests feel recognized and genuinely welcomed, and that personal touch makes all the difference when you spend as much time travelling as I do. Beautiful property, spectacular views, wonderful team and consistently outstanding service. Hôtel PUR continues to be my preferred place to stay whenever work brings me to Québec City. Highly recommended! My most recent stay was the night of September 8th to 9th room 1406
We had a wonderful experience at Hotel PUR Québec City. We stayed for two nights - August 31 to September 1,2026. The hotel is simple, smells fresh and very clean, and the service was truly exceptional. We are especially grateful that our request for an early check-in was kindly accommodated. The concierge, reception team, and housekeeping staff were all exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional, which made our stay even more enjoyable. To make the experience even better, we would suggest providing room slippers for guests and addressing the plumbing issue with the toilet, as the flush was quite weak. Overall, we had a great stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality. We would be happy to return!
Stayed at Hotel Pur for about 2-3 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the front concierge team, Rafael and Samuel. Rafael was thoughtful and provided great recommendations for places to visit/eat in the area. Room cleanliness was overall fine, a bit of odor in the washroom due to the shower curtains and toilet. Underground parking in the hotel was convenient as some locations downtown do not have onsite parking. Location of hotel was within walking distance of some great restaurants and old Québec. However would echo some other reviews that there was a heavy presence of homelessness. Majority kept to themselves and there was a great deal of police in the area, so no issues arose. Overall our stay was good. For the price, friendliness of the staff, and flexibility to walk to close by locations, would stay here again. Would love if there would be a few more amenities in the rooms, e.g. water bottles, slippers, etc. For future!
