Hotel Omni Mont-royal

We are absolutely disgusted and embarrassed that we recommended and stayed at the Omni Mont Royal in Montreal in August of 2026. The bare minimum you expect at a hotel is cleanliness. If you are staying at this Omni you will find extremely dated rooms with old carpets, popcorn ceiling insulation, bathroom amenities that are prison-esque and a musky smell. It’s also loud if your room is facing Sherbrooke Street (even on the 10th floor). What is totally unacceptable is the repugnant filth. Our friend’s room had long black hairs in the shower and short ones around the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. The next morning, they addressed it with management at the front desk who assured them it would be cleaned. We toured all day and when they returned to their room at 4:30 pm the maid was in it (which was bizarre as we thought management would have prioritized the cleaning after our polite but graphic description of the filth). After a late dinner they returned to their room, tired, and found hair (multiple types) still in the bathroom. Upon awakening in the morning, they inspected their sheets and found blood droplets. This is after already informing management of the disgusting condition of the room. The lack of care and concern for basic cleanliness is simply unacceptable. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is a declining dated property that we were ashamed to host our friends in and are astonished it is associated with Omni. Note that upon complaining to a different manager after two nights in a disgusting room it was properly cleaned and they made amends with our friends – but understand that the room was originally in appalling condition and stayed that way even after contacting management who did nothing to address the issue initially. Apparently, uncleaned rooms with hair everywhere don’t prompt management to act unless you complain multiple times. My wife cried because she booked us and our friends at this hotel and their room experience was so horrific.

I don’t usually leave hotel reviews, but this stay was worth it. I spent a couple of nights at the Omni Mont-Royal and honestly had a really good experience. The hotel has a nice, quiet atmosphere, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. What really made the stay stand out was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, and they actually seemed to care about making sure I enjoyed my stay instead of just going through the motions. That kind of service is hard to find. The location was another big plus. I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go, whether it was for food, shopping, or just exploring Montreal. Overall, it was an easy, stress-free stay, and I’d happily book here again the next time I’m in the city. Definitely a 5-star experience.

We had an excellent stay and were pleasantly surprised by a few extra perks thanks to my credit card. The property offers all the modern comforts, though it doesn’t feature a pool. Most of my requests were accommodated without issue, and despite booking at the last minute, I was given a room with a beautiful view of Mont Royal. A special mention goes to the outstanding Concierge, Véronique. She was incredibly helpful, walking me through my entire Montreal itinerary and providing thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced our visit. Her guidance elevated our entire experience in the city. The hotel’s location was perfect just steps away from the train station. I’m already looking forward to my next stay here!

Our stay at the Omni Mont-Royal Hotel was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with an amazing bed and beautiful city views. The location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown Montreal, within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, and many attractions. Everything we wanted to see was just minutes away. The hotel itself was quiet, elegant, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. Every interaction with the staff exceeded our expectations, and their attention to detail really made us feel valued as guests. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Omni Mont-Royal Hotel to anyone visiting Montreal. A well-deserved 10/10!
