A beautiful and uniquely designed hotel in a gorgeous and quiet setting by the river. Close to Quebec City. The resort is attached to a museum dedicated to Canada’s First Nations history. Rooms are very nice and well appointed. And it’s next to a lovely river and walking trails.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a beautiful location in traditional Wendat territory. The nature trails are serene, the rooms are beautiful, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. I truly could not have asked for a better experience! If you visit, you must take a self-guided tour of the on-site museum which showcases Wendat culture. It was a wonderful, educational and emotional experience and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Our stay at the Hotel-Musée Premières Nations in Wendake, Quebec this past week was the perfect last stop, enroute home. Sitting just 25 minutes outside Quebec City, we found the location to be practical and the place itself, very special. The design of the hotel is rooted in Wendat culture and tradition with quality linens, spacious rooms, and thoughtful layout. Surrounding the hotel is a gorgeous manicured trail that winds behind the hotel and the adjacent Huron-Wendat Museum, with plaques along its path, explaining Wendat history. Alongside the trail runs the Akiawenhrank River whose current you can hear from some of the hotel rooms and back patio, where we enjoyed delicious cocktails with local berries while a woodburning fire crackled nearby. There's also an indoor bar with a central fireplace, high ceilings and wide glass windows overlooking the thoughtfully landscaped exterior. Our deluxe suite was spacious, modern and peaceful - the perfect place to repose. We ate at the hotel restaurant that evening, La Traite, where we thoroughly enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu that features seasonal fruits, veggies, fish & game. Customer service from the time we reserved our room and dinner/table, right through checkin and checkout was seamless, as was our restaurant experience. It was a most memorable experience for my entire family and one of the highlights of our summer holiday.
Really enjoyed a long weekend here. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food at the restaurant is top notch and highly recommended. The museum with audioguide was informative and really interesting. Had a great time, will go again.
I stayed twice in this hotel and both times were great. The rooms are neat and luxurious. The staff is very patient and they try their best to give you a great experience. The waterfalls are at a walkable distance and they are worth the detour. I would love to come back! One person in our group is very allergic to mushrooms and it was hard for the caterer not to include them in the meals, even though staff was notified. This did not impact me personally, but in case other people are in the same situation, it’s better to be aware.
