Quietly understated competence what's my take away from a 3-day visit. Black and white theme throughout for rooms and the hotel lobby etc. The person that designed the layout for the rooms and the general architecture, had an eye for detail and artistic flair. Excellent breakfast included in room price.

We hosted our wedding reception at the Monville, thank you to the whole team for such a personalized and attentative experience for our special day. The reception was held in The Monville room and terrace on the 20th floor, offering incredible views and just enough space for a sit-down dinner for ~ 70 people and a dance floor. We were genuinely impressed by the professionalism, preparedness, and kindness displayed by everyone we worked with. The process was smooth from start to finish, our questions were answered promptly and completely, and every detail was taken care of. Planning a wedding is stressful, especially when we lack event planning knowledge and experience, but we felt extremely well supported by Monville throughout the process. In particular, we’d like to highlight: - The efficient set up, event flow, and tear down, exactly to our specifications. All our questions on the day were answered, and any issues that arose were taken care of, allowing us to truly enjoy our day. Thank you Gaelle and Mathieu! Your professionalism was second to none! - The food: we had no doubt it would be incredible after our tasting earlier this year, but our guests were so impressed and still talk about it today! Thank you Cédric and team! We’ll definitely be coming by Monème for date nights in the future :) (Special thank you for accommodating our dietary preferences and restrictions, it was handled superbly) - The drinks: We wanted to thank the bar staff for doing an excellent job. Again, our guests were delighted with the signature cocktails--the non-alcoholic options were fantastic too! - The room: they upgraded us to the Monville suite and it was a perfect stay. It was large enough to get ready in for the wedding party, had a great view, and was extremely comfortable for a much-needed sleep. We highly recommend Monville for any events, they are reliable, communicative, and professional.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Hotel Monville recently. It is in a great location, close to transport links and the underground, and a short walk away from the riverfront and old city. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfy! We had a lovely view over the city too. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again.
Hotel is clean and well located. Staff were mostly polite and helpful, except for one at the reception who was seriously annoyed after our 3 year old grandson touched the robot in the lobby. I understand it’s probably annoying but certainly not good customer service to be rude to guests. It’s valet parking only and while we received good and relatively fast service, it’s rather expensive and I prefer the convenience of parking the car on our own to have full access if/when we forget something in the car or leave without having to wait. During one of our stays they ran out of parking space and we had to drive to a public parkade a couple of blocks away (which was full and had to wait for someone to leave). Once we asked for a few more Nespresso Pods and they told us they only give two extras per room. We were two adults who enjoy coffee so we thought this was seriously lacking - we never were so restricted in other hotels. They only have powder creamer in the room and when we asked for cream they didn’t have any - something they could improve on as many hotels we have been at would provide cream (and even free coffee in the lobby…) In another of our stays, the Nespresso machine in the room didn’t work. Minor issues overall, otherwise the hotel and rooms are clean and beautiful , with great staff in general.
We stayed here when in town for our cousin's wedding and also had our out of towners stay here. Their event coordinator, Maurice Gerardi from Omega Design Events, was really helpful in dealing with our out-of-towners, many of whom were coming from outside of Canada and had plenty of questions. They made the room block booking a very easy process and - unlike many other hotels in Montreal, which require minimums or guarantees - we were at no risk for unbooked/cancelled rooms (provided they were cancelled at least 24 hours in advance). Considering the location and quality of hotel, we got a great rate for our group. The location of the hotel is awesome Our wedding venue was right by the subway station so we wanted easy access for our guests to get both there and to other hot spots in the city. The rooms were very clean. We (and several of our guests) wound up on the first floor with courtyard views so nothing particularly scenic. The rooms though were comfortable. We didn't watch any tv, so can't comment on that, but they were consistently cleaned and the beds were comfy. There isn't a pool which was a con for some guests. The biggest drawback was that they were in the midst of elevator renovation so it would take a really long time to get an elevator and there weren't really stairs to use to go down one flight. Other than that I don't really have any complaints. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and for a group with about 20 rooms everything was pretty smooth from check-in to check-out. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a group hotel in a very accessible part of Montreal.
