Pros: it’s clean, beds are comfortable, staff is helpful, I went for a week and we couldn’t drink the tap water. They were providing water bottle for free everyday. They have a restaurant and bar open every night. Free parking (lots of places). Nice little gym. Beautiful reception lobby with rundown couch. Cons: pillows are too thick, not hot water in the morning, wifi doesn’t work well it closes and reopen on its own. At least they have sports channels I was able to watch the World Cup. The AC stops working for no reason. The elevator is very slow, no microwave in the room. Not even on the second floor. The drinks distributor isn’t working. The clientele is very sketchy because of the bar and the slots machines. Somebody shat on the ground in the parking lots. There is no couch or comfy chair to sit and relax in the room. No breakfast included. They offer one for extra $

The price shown on Booking.com was $169, but we ended up paying $286 Booking.com also indicated that breakfast was included. Although we did not book through Booking.com and checked in directly with the hotel, we were informed that breakfast was not included. The hotel was clean, but the service was quite slow. We have stayed in much nicer hotels for around $100 per night. Considering the price we paid, the overall experience did not offer good value for money. In our opinion, the quality of service did not justify the cost.

Stayed 30th April & 01 May 2026. In 2026 a mini fridge with no freezer and no microwave in the room is pretty bad . For the price charged for the presidential suite. We would have been better off with another place in Val-d'Or. Kids running in the stairs and upstairs until 01:00 at night. stains all over the furniture...you know what happens on those couches. We did not sit on them. Pretty gross..🤮 Well we paid to learn. We tried out the place for 2 nights and that is not a 4star hotel - maybe 2☆ at best. Stayed the rest of the week at a better hotel in town. Not impressed. 👎

Absolutely terrible hotel. We have stayed here for years and have always had a great experience, but clearly the hotel is under new ownership and it is now awful. We will not stay here again. We stayed twice this winter on our snowmobile trips. The hotel staff were very rude and not helpful, in fact our repeated calls to the front desk to ask for assistance were never answered. The rooms were not great and we had no hot water both times we stayed. On our first stay, they said they were having "issues" with the hot water that would be resolved by the morning, however there was still no hot water in the morning for showers in any of our rooms. The second time we stayed, several weeks later, there was still no hot water for showers. The tv in the room did not work and the WiFi also did not work. The food was awful. Previously this hotel had an excellent restaurant with delicious food, however this year the restaurant food was very poor quality during both of our stays. The breakfast was quite poor - not much to choose from, no basics like eggs, and limited quantities so with all of the guests the food was depleted before everyone could eat. We booked our rooms well in advance, both times, with a request to be on the lower floor and to have our rooms close together as we had a large snowmobile group. Both stays the staff were rude while we were checking in, uninterested in our advanced booking details, and had not/would not accommodated any of our requests for rooms. Because there was no hot water on our first stay, management indicated that they would give us a discount on our room. This never happened and in fact when we followed up with management, they blew us off. Long and short, the photos you see on Google and on their website do not reflect the hotel as it is now. Sadly, this hotel has gone from a great place to stay to a 1 star hotel.
