Grand Times Hotel Laval - Centropolis

Very disappointing stay, largely due to poor service and a subpar breakfast. The breakfast buffet was an embarrassment, even by budget standards, bread was kept in individual plastic bags that guests had to manually open, take a slice from, and reseal. The rooms were decent at best, but cleanliness left much to be desired. Front desk service was equally frustrating: staff had an unhelpful attitude and flatly refused to deliver basic necessities like extra towels or bottled water to the room, forcing guests to go downstairs to collect them. The only real positives were the complimentary on-site parking and the availability of an EV charging station. Otherwise, I would not recommend staying here.

Our family had been traveling with babies, and when we arrived at the hotel, we discovered that the baby beds we had been promised were unfortunately not available. After a long day of traveling, this could have been a very stressful situation. The front desk staff Myriam, Maria, Fatima, and Behzad remained calm, professional, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to find baby beds for us and even took the time to set them up in our room. We would especially like to recognize Behzad, whom we believe was in charge, for his leadership and support in resolving the situation so efficiently. We truly couldn’t have been more pleased with the exceptional customer service we received. Their friendliness, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile turned a stressful hiccup into a wonderful experience. Thank you for making our family’s stay so much easier we’re incredibly grateful!

We had such a nice stay. Room were updated and modern, spacious and clean! The breakfast buffet was constantly kept in stock with freshness and availability. But mostly, Sophie Ponte was amazing. We came as a large group and last minute but the service was as if we had booked a year in advance. Service, communication and politeness was more than a five star. Thank you Sophie for saving our excursion in Laval. Obrigado!!

Room is nice and big. Pillows were too soft and flat. They asked if I wanted daily cleaning and I said yes. First day was not cleaned and they said I refused. 2nd was just a towel change and nothing else and they said I only wanted a partial clean up. The towels they changed were not white and not sure where they are from. Tissue paper was not refilled. The included breakfast was disgusting. Only cereal, bread and dry cheese and was a mess. Overall rooms are nice and clean but everything else was a bit off.
