We recently stayed at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu with our family and had a wonderful experience. The location and views are spectacular, but what really made the stay memorable was the variety of activities available right on the property. We enjoyed the zip line, fishing, and golf, which gave everyone something fun to do and made the trip feel like much more than just a hotel stay. The golf course and surrounding scenery are absolutely beautiful, and the outdoor activities were a great way to spend quality time together as a family. The hotel itself has a unique charm, and the combination of the historic property, incredible setting, and activities makes it a great destination for a family getaway in Charlevoix. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommende

Five stars for the atmosphere as well. A truly impressive hotel with a character all of its own. The rooms have a charming, old-fashioned feel, and staying here is like stepping back in time. There’s a unique atmosphere throughout the hotel that you don’t find very often anymore. The location is spectacular, with breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River. Surrounded by mountains and nature, the hotel is also very convenient, with plenty of easy parking. Guests can enjoy the mini-golf, tennis courts, and swimming pool, with all the necessary equipment provided. Breakfast was quite hectic due to the large number of guests, but it was nevertheless well organized. Overall, a wonderful experience. An impressive and historic place full of character, where the charm and atmosphere of a bygone era have been beautifully preserved.
This hotel is in a beautiful location. The food here is very good. Hubby and I did have a rough wknd here, but mgmt did what they could to make it right. I really tried to be understanding, but Fairmont did not disclose a massive multi- day party they hosted directly outside our room. We went through two days of loud music directly outside our room late at night, and felt like we were repeatedly begging for help so we could sleep. We had traveled from outside the country to visit for three nights on a romantic getaway. I was so frustrated and disappointed. My husband finally got ahold of a manager who made amends for the situation the best he could. Service continued to be very slow throughout the wknd for drinks, food, valet and check out. I’m sure the fact that they were at capacity contributed… staff seemed overwhelmed in every area. I appreciated the management apologizing and making amends, and bc of this, I will try another Fairmont.
I stayed at the Manoir Richelieu for 4 nights in July of 2026. The grounds, staff, and food were all excellent. I do, however, want to call out a specific experience that was incredible. One morning, after eating breakfast at their buffet, my nine-year old son, unprompted, decided to write a note raving about how much he loved the food. He left the note on his bed, we went out and I didn't think twice about it. Upon returning a few hours later, we found a card from their Guest Experience Director thanking us for my son's kind words, along with a platter of desserts and two stuffed animals. After all these years, i found my self surprised by how surprised I was. Thank you to The Manoir, and to the Fairmont, for the amazing time and great memories!
We stayed at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for two nights with our German Shepherd, Max. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it’s dog-friendly, and overall, we had a wonderful stay. Our arrival was a little hectic as the front entrance was very busy, so check-in took a bit longer than expected, and our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3:15 p.m. Once things settled down, the staff were friendly and helpful. Valet parking includes complimentary EV charging, which was a nice bonus, and the attendants made sure my vehicle was plugged in during our stay. The hotel charges a $60 per night pet fee, which includes dog amenities. Unfortunately, these weren’t in our room when we arrived, so I had to call the front desk. It took a little while, but everything was eventually sorted out. The hotel is beginning to show its age, with some worn carpets and dated furniture, but I actually think that adds to its historic charm. Our room was on the smaller side but was clean and comfortable. The real highlight is the property itself. The views over the St. Lawrence River are spectacular, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and there are plenty of amenities to enjoy. It’s a fantastic place to relax for a few days. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Despite a few minor issues on arrival, the beautiful setting, friendly staff, and dog-friendly atmosphere made for a memorable experience. We’d gladly return.
