We had only an ok stay here. The rooms and hallways need a total revamp Sadly we had flies in our room, the TV would not connect to the wifi and the shower is very weak. And though the staff were nice they certainly did not go out of their way to help us. Bed was great. So overall not really great at all especially at the price and certainly not 9/10 as reviewed on booking.com

An Unforgettable Stay in Old Montreal – Exceptional Service from Start to Finish! My friend and I recently stayed at the Auberge du Vieux-Port from July 9th to July 12th, and our experience was nothing short of first-rate. Housed in stunning 19th-century historic buildings (dating back to 1857 and 1882), this boutique hotel combines old-world charm with top-tier luxury and hospitality. From the moment we arrived after a long drive from Ottawa, the team went above and beyond: Arrival & Logistics: Osman, the bellhop and porter, was an absolute lifesaver. He handled our luggage and valet parking seamlessly, making navigating the hotel's historic corridors and elevators effortless. Front Desk & Management: Thomas Giuly, the Front Office Manager, treated us like royalty from check-in onward. When we decided to extend our stay an extra night, Thomas worked his magic during a busy season to keep us in our original room. Front desk staff Sébastien and Louise were also consistently warm, smiling, and welcoming. Dining & Hospitality: At Gaspar, Emma Croteau provided exceptional care. When an event booked the restaurant out, Emma went out of her way to personally secure us a wonderful table and reservation at their sister property, the Vieux-Port Steakhouse. At Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Julien Monnier proved to be a true gentleman, ensuring our dining experience was completely seamless and special. At La Terrasse, our server Christian provided fantastic, well-versed service that elevated both our afternoon drinks and our evenings out. Every single staff member was genuine, attentive, and eager to help us make the most of Old Montreal—from local suggestions to fireworks and walking tours. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to return!
Wonderful place to stay in Old Montreal. Just next to Rue St Paul cobblestone Street. Hotel staff were pleasant and kept the room looking great. Shower had plenty of space, with rainshower head, and very good water pressure.
I reserved for my daughters 18th bday. Paid over 400$ for a very dated room. The only charm were the windows and stone wall. I paid for riverfront, I got the 1st floor so was more like the bike path :( Asked for a bucket of Ice for our champagne and it never came. My son had to go down and get it. They kept our cake in their refrigerator but when it was time to bring it up, no plates, no cutlery...no champagne glasses. Very dissapointing.
The staff were absolutely lovely. We celebrated our first anniversary here, and they kindly surprised us with treats and a handwritten note — such a rare and thoughtful gesture! The place had such good aesthetic vibe, and the staff gave fantastic coffee recommendations that truly elevated our experience. Thank you so much for making our celebration so special
