It,s not what we expected. Very short and really not much to see. Everything was crammed in 1 building. When arriving no signage on building was uncomfortable unsure.
Excellent tour. Very friendly. Easy pickup and return. The guides were good with explanation and questions. The prices were ok. 8
Really quick not even a hour of shopping, some things priced ok, some yo expensive, not very much for kids as souvenirs
Had to grab some souvenirs for the homies back home, and this did not disappoint! I couldn’t leave without a fridge magnet for my collection. Good deals, if you haggle.
was only 1 store not a shopping area with other stores. no rum tasting. nothing that was described at all
The drivers were top notch and so nice. But the shopping/museum was bad. Staff at the store(s) were rude and unhelpful. Their ONLY purpose was to try to sell. Changed prices, demanded cash, refused to let you watch the cigar maker. It was so pushy and rude. Not a mall as advertised, just a big store with various vendors who seriously lacked customer service. Most of he merchandise was from China and not authentic. Only good point was rum & chocolate booths. Save your money for a REAL (not rude commercial) shopping trip. Do better!
This was a cool experience. I will say to be patient with catching your ride back to the resort as it does take some time. We would do this again.
I thought this was a tour. It was a taxi ride to a poorly supplied tourist shop. Everyone we spoke to was also very disappointed.
All of the items were more expensive than the ones here at my hotel. And didn’t offer anything more.
This tour offered a mix of shopping and cultural experiences, with stops like a Tobacco Museum, a chocolate factory, rum tastings, and an introduction to Larimar and Dominican art. The variety was nice, and we got some classic Dominican souvenirs like cigars and cacao. The staff was friendly and spoke several languages, making the tour accessible to the visitors. We were the only ones at the point so we got to experience their full attention :) The flexible timing was a plus, making it easier to fit into a busy schedule. Overall, it’s a decent way to learn about local goods and traditions.
Beautiful place but not a tour. It seems that day we went, no tour, just the open shop. Prices were much higher than any where else. Same exact souvenirs just higher prices= I can't speak on the cigars. Chocolate was nice and tasty and expensive.
Safe shopping environment. Everything in one place at fair prices. Shopping was relaxing and enjoyable and not rushed or forced. Highly recommend!
I got to experience Caribbean culture up close on this tour. I saw how chocolate is made, learned how cigars are crafted, and discovered the precious stone Larimar. There were many unique souvenirs, perfect for bringing back memories of my trip. Overall, the shopping tour in Punta Cana was a great way to learn more about local traditions and find special items. I definitely suggest it to anyone looking to shop during their vacation.
My shopping trip in Punta Cana was an interesting experience that provided a glimpse into local culture and distinctive souvenirs. The markets were lively, offering a chance to interact with locals and find authentic items like the Larimar stone. I picked up a few pieces of jewelry and noticed a variety of cigars and chocolate available as well. If you’re seeking something different to take home, I would definitely recommend this tour.
Ease of transportion. Fun drivers. Easy to book. Constant contact with vendor. Easy return and drop off.
The shopping tour offered a decent selection, including items from local markets and Larimar jewelry. I liked the handmade souvenirs, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I found some unique pieces, making the experience worthwhile.
The variety in the store was good, offering items such as handmade cigars and traditional souvenirs that represented the local culture. The cigars were of decent quality and came from the region. The rum selection included various local brands, and I bought a few bottles as gifts. Mamajuana, the island's national drink, was also available. The larimar jewelry was unique, and I found some pieces suitable as souvenirs or gifts, with prices reasonable for the quality. Overall, the shopping experience was satisfactory, and I would recommend this tour for those interested in authentic local products.
The transport arrived on time, the store is very large, there’s a lot of stuff and it’s great that you can try everything, we liked Mamajuana, a local tincture, coffee and chocolate, everything is very tasty, we recommend it!
We weren’t sure what to expect but we had a good time! We thought we were making multiple stops but instead it was a one stop shop. It ended up being pretty great for us and we were able to knock a lot of our gift list and then we headed back for a nice day of swimming on the beach!
Wrong hotel pick-up, two hours later than agreed. Poor communication by company - I do not recommend. I will update with our experience when we actually get on the tour, as of now it has been a wasted two hours where we could have enjoyed the beach and the sun. If you still choose to do this confirm the hotel pick up more than once, confirm the EXACT time, confirm the name and number of the bus and be very direct when communicating with the company - they will blame you and talk in circles.
The DR doesn’t have a lot of hand made crafts Like Mexico so the shopping was what I expected not much. Very small amount of trip tees and hats. Very little crafts. But they did have iced coffee which I was craving. No ac so a little stuffy. Driver was on time and quick to bring us back. Overall what I excepted and worth the trip for some gifts to bring home
We were scheduled at 09 am, we were waiting at front since 0730, when I called they said that they had emailed me saying that they changed it to 11am. I was appalled bc I had set something else up. Viator didn't even care .
While I thought he were touring a true cigar factory, there were some good and not so enjoyable things about this. Learning about cigars was interesting and tasting different Rums and chocolates were fun, I didn’t enjoy the shopping aspect of it. Wish it truly was a tour of a factory to learn more about cigars and how made etc..
Fun to see local products. Good cigar selection, cool stuff and awesome cigar demo Nice museums and cheap prices.
Good. Enough time. Approximately 1.5 hrs. We were told that if we wanted to, we could stay for 2.5 hours and take the next bus to the hotel. I found Leyenda Brugal rum in this store, which was not in our hotel. This is the best Dominican rum! Large selection of goods. We bought what we wanted for ourselves and for gifts to friends.
Love it! Excellent service. The guys in the Chocolate's and coffee sections are awesome. Lots of different Dominican rum, liquores , cigars and coffee.
Nice place to buy chocolate, wine, cosmetics and jewelry. People are very friendly, you do not feel pressured to purchase.
This is like a Mall ! Has like 20 different stores all in one place. Modern, clean, good selection and helpful staff.
Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Seemed happy and eager to help. Quality products and lots to choose from.
Had much worse expectations. Having said that, it's a collection of stores and assortment is pretty large. Lots of gift items around $3-5 and some a definitely local but others are imported junk. Size is equivalent to a something like a women's and mens sections at target combined.
Excellent quality store. Real cuban & dominican cigars. Great customer service. A little expensive but all legit and real quality.
Fun place to go shop with different shops within one store, you can get all the souvenirs for your stay in Punta Cana here. We were able to watch a cigar being made and taste delicious chocolate. The shopping trip was an excursion with transportation provided by our hotel.
This place is great! Cigar rollers, souvenirs, and affordable. That atmosphere gives a good mood. Loved it.
Cigar tour awesome. Ask for samples they will give it for free! And the rum, chocolate and mamajuana.. ask for samples! :)
It was really good the staff are really friendly and helped out with anything that was needed. We bought rum, coffee and cigars
Nice place to buy chocolate, souvenirs, rum and cigars. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they are selling. Seemed happy and eager to help. Quality products and lots to choose from.
A clean and well-maintained store, great selection of cigars, Dominican drinks and other stuff. It was great to be able to purchase everything under one roof. The associates were very friendly and helpful. Cool cigar coffee and chocolate stores along with Dominican Trinckets
Save yourself the money this is pure tourists rip off. You are driven to a warehouse where you can buy overpriced things .. has nothing to do with getting to know the country and people.
Catastrophe, j ai demandé un remboursement car après avoir attendu une heure et essayé d appeler le numéro indiqué personne n' est venu. J ai par ma meme annulé les autres sorties réservées via le site.
The beautiful scenery and exquisite warm sea water I was at hotel Riu palace Bavarian themed rooms and restaurants a la carte excellent but buffet for breakfast and lunch many flies, The water is not drinkable, of the 4 people we traveled 2 we got so sick that for my friend we turned to the insurance doctor. Everything is quite expensive outside the hotel even to buy souvenir. I definitely won't be back
Nous avions réserver a 16h20, le chauffeur n’est jamais passé, heureusement la compagnie a accepté de me rembourser.
Very good...bring a little something for a black and white kitty...he was hungry! I bought him a chicken sandwich…!
Expensive, poor service and poor quality clothing. They promise you a rum, cocoa and coffee tasting but if you don't come and ask for it you feel at all times that they are doing you a favor. The prices for European clients are exorbitant and when you express that they make you feel bad when what they should be charging according to what they offer - the Dominican Republic in general is prepared to rip off the visitor and if you don't know how to haggle much more than in Turkey they fry you at crazy prices. Furthermore, they change the euro at par with the dollar and that is not good. Tip even to breathe and I say “tip those who treat you well, serve you and respect you” therefore paying a TRANSFER to a store like this you can save it
Sortie sympa mais les produits sont relativement chers. En moyenne 5€ de plus qu'à notre hôtel. C'est un peu dommage, car aucune dégustation si ce n'est le cigare...
Much cheaper prices than elsewhere and excellent service. It's wide. Good security. Place where you can get the best Punta Cana memory
This place has memories of Punta Cana and Dominican Republic in general. Keychains. Magnets, ornaments, clothes, drinks, groceries, habanos, etc... A great variety of everything. this place has slightly more consistent prices relative to other places of the same category. In my experience, they took me from my hotel and I stayed about an hour. The place is well organized and provide good care. I'd come back.
