Evert step of this tour was marvelous! Our tour guide, Carlos was very attentive and knowledgeable. The photographer, Yandel was excellent at ensuring photos of everyone was being taken and attentive. Best experience I've had with a long day of touring! The ticket price is an absolute steal to the experience we had.

Excursion is all day But Carlos our great multi lingual instructor made it seamless. Driver handled roads masterfully as the photographer captured it all I recommend this trip to anyone who comes to the Dominican Republic 100/10
Great experience really interesting, the ride up the mountain is thrilling to say the least… Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. I went with my friend and there was a mixture of ages.
Firstly, there were parts of this trip that were great. Our first stop, Montana Redonda was amazing. We loved the views, swings and safari truck. We loved driving through Miches and hearing all about the whales, before we travelled over the bumpiest of roads (not great for those who suffer with travel sickness). We made it to Los Haitises National Park where we boarded a speedboat through the mangroves and saw where Jurassic Park was filmed. We got back on the bus for another long and bumpy ride to Salto de Yanigua. This is where we were left disappointed. What is described as a “waterfall spa” and “hidden paradise” promising to bring relaxation, turned out to be a disaster. We were greeted by a sad looking donkey called Maria, tied to a car in the blazing sun. We were rushed past the many things that were growing on site, and taken to a makeshift building where we were very quickly shown how to make chocolate. Who knows how long the brown sludge (chocolate) was sitting there for, but the tour guide did say he came there everyday, and I doubt they’re changing it that often! The food was fine, the coconut bread delicious. We were told we could swim in the “natural clay spa and swim beneath a private, untouched waterfall”, please see the photos attached of the brown water. We were not going to swim in that. The advert mentions an option of a buggy adventure, this was not offered to us, nor was claiming Tarzan's tower. The building was awful, and I’m shocked no one had been seriously hurt by their DIY electrics. Overall, this stop let the trip down, as well as the lack of transparency over how long you will be travelling for. Between each stop, we were in the car for at least 1.5 hours, if not 2 hours. The advert also states that you are provided with bottled water, not once were we offered this. We did not have access to water until lunch at 2.30pm. We did not feel like it was worth the money and would recommend people visit the first two stops separately.
We had a wonderful time on this trip. The team was extremely professional, organized, and friendly. We explored stunning locations and enjoyed amazing food along the way. Everything was just perfect!
During our wonderful 14-day family vacation in Punta Cana, we decided to book this excursion, and it was hands down the best decision we made! Our day started with a catamaran cruise through the breathtaking mangroves of Los Haitises National Park. The scenery was absolutely stunning and peaceful – a truly magical experience for the whole family. Next, we visited Rancho Salto Yanigua, which was both beautiful and educational. We had the unique opportunity to see the traditional processing of cocoa. We saw everything from the raw fruit, the drying and roasting process, all the way to a delicious cocoa tasting. It was fascinating and tasted amazing! To top off this perfect day, we headed to Montaña Redonda. The panoramic views from the top are simply magnificent. The famous swings and hammocks were super fun, and we got some incredible family photos here. If you are staying in Punta Cana, this trip is an absolute must-do. Highly recommended for everyone looking for real adventure and beautiful memories!
It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Boasting some of DRs most beautiful views and spectacular activities. Although it's a full day it's worth it. The food is great and so was the service. Carlos our guide, Jimmy the driver as well as our photographer went out of their way to make the trip extra special. A must try.
This was a long day but worth it. Susie was the absolute BEST guide! She handled the French & English speakers and was amazing. The photographer was also great and so reasonably priced. Montana redonda had spectacular views, the swings (so cool), hammocks, look out tower, and more! The ride up the mountain was an adventure! The ranch & waterfall were even better. The fresh cacao & coconut bread, authentic lunch, waterfall, & clay mud mask are just a few of the highlights of this stop. Such a great look at the real Dominican culture and cooking. Last stop was the national park boat ride and cave exploring- boat were awesome. Beautiful views, lots of birds, cave drawings, and more. It was a lot of driving but Susie provided a ton of really cool information along the way. The whole day felt very relaxed and nothing was rushed. We also didn't feel like any of the three spots were busy or heavily populated with other tours/visitors. Highly recommend if you are looking for a full day excursion, you like nature/adventure, and you want to see the non resort side of the DR!
This was a wonderful excursion across eastern Dominican Republic. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and the terrain. Yanigua was great, but I recommend bringing water shoes. I'm a bird watcher, and was able to see birds at Montaña Redonda, Yanigua, and Haitises National Park. The boat ride through the mangroves, around bird Island, and to the limestone cave was great.
Fantastic tour, had a blast the entire day. Our guide Joel was great, very informative on the history and facts about the Dominican Republic during the drive to the different locations. The most magical part of the whole thing was Los Haitises national park, seeing the birds flying over the islands was something else! Wouldn't hesitate to do it again, truly made my trip.
Excellent excursion! We absolutely loved each stop - VERY long day, but worth it! The DR lunch at the waterfall was exceptional. Was able to see many areas of the DR along the ride - Highly recommend!
This was our favorite experience! It was a long day but so many fantastic adventures. Carlos and Jimmy took great care of us, and are the best tour guides and both so kind. 10 star if it was an option! Also only a small group of us so it didn’t feel like a busy tourist activity.
10 out of 10, must do! It’s a LONG day and a lot of ‘bumpy’ driving towards the last stop but I am SO glad we did this. Beautiful sites, our favorite part was the lunch in the most amazing spot and the best meal we had the whole trip. (Maybe pack extra snacks bc it was a late lunch). The guides were great, just wish we would’ve known there was a drop off meeting spot so that was confusing but it was well coordinated.
The whole tour was well organized, the transportation was comfortable, and everything ran on time. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. It was a full day, but definitely worth it. If you want to see more than just the beaches of Punta Cana, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you
Carlos and Jimmy were a great tour guide and driver combination.
The experience itself was amazing. Full day program with a lot to do and see. They provided a private photographer who took lot of pictures of everyone during the trip, which you were able to purchase at the end of the day. He was great. However our tour guide made our experience bitter. He seemed to care about a few people in the group. We felt left out like we are not even there. Funny thing is that the photographer realized this and he showed and explained to us what the tour guide should have. That says a lot. Overall I recommend it a 100% , just with a different tour guide.
Unbelievable experience. From start to finish. A long day, well worth it. Guides were knowledgeable. Spoke 5 language. Food was spectacular. Bring money for coffee and chocolate to take home.
My father booked this private 3-in-1 adventure for my family and me, and it was an unforgettable experience! Before we set off, we met our amazing guide, Caesar, and our magnificent driver, Sebastian. They made our trip worth every penny! Caesar took the time to get to know our family and created memories we will never forget. We all had such a great time and an incredible day of fun thanks to Caesar and his amazing trabajo! We were even able to keep in contact with Caesar and hopefully get to talk to him soon! Sebastian made sure we got to and from every adventure safely and comfortably, and we are so grateful. Thank you, Sebastian! We also got to share some snacks from back home with both of them—Twizzlers and lemon wafers! We hope they enjoyed them, and we hope to see Caesar in the States someday soon!
Carlos was great. Trip was perfect blend of mountain views, boat trip in the national park, local culture at the farm/swimming hole. Extremely fun day.
This tour is for people who does not mind riding in a bus for hrs. 9-10 hrs of bus time vs 3 hrs of sites time is not a good ratio in my opinion. Montana redonda is gorgeous, but you only get to spend 30 min there; and good luck trying to ride the attractions. Bathrooms are terrible too. Haitises is beautiful, but again, rushed. Not a lot of time to really explore the area. The waterfall after lunch is nice, we actually spent a full 1.5 hrs there which allows us to feel the place. Food was delicious; a typical dominican meal incredibly flavorful. The people they have on site were very polite, very helpful. Then there is the guide, Joel. The constant request for tipping got annoying, asking to tip in the mountain, tip for the boat , tip for the lunch, tip for them at the end of the tour. Many conversations aimed to push tourist to tip. He said "workers in Dominican Rep envy us because we get a lot of tips." wink wink. His conversations got really boring really fast. The jokes were bad; at one point my wife go angry at his inappropriate jokes, like suggesting to women in the tour that if they wanted to get pregnant, to stay with him a few extra minutes in the cave alone in the presence of the god Luna and he guarantees a pregnancy within a week. The cherry on the cake was at the end of the tour, when he congratulated us for "having the bravery to go outside the resort instead of staying and just eat like pigs like everyone else there" (he didnt literally said eat like pigs, her used the word "tragar" which really translates that way). At that point I saw the full bus looked at each other, we were all befuddled. Another thing that bother me is that before booking this, i specifically asked how many people they take on the tour, and the guy said 20-25. I thought that was not too bad. In reality, there were at least 55 people which slowed down everything. It is ridiculous to charge $160 for a day trip in a tour with no proper services. I understand this is a third world country and should not expect world class facilities, but then charge what you offer. Maybe with a different guide the experience is much better, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this tour with Joel.
While staying at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, we wanted to go outside the "hotel zone" and experience more of beautiful Dominican Republic. This 3-in-1 excursion let us do just that! The stop at Montaña Redonda was quick, but included a thrilling ride up the windy mountain road, then amazing panoramic views of the valley below. The boat ride through the canals of Los Haitises National Park, lined with mangrove trees, was fun and beautiful. Then, the hike through cool caves with ancient petroglyphs was something special. And the last stop, at the Rancho Salto Yanigua Waterfall was the perfect end to the day. Our guide, Carlos, had told us from the start that "everyone in the DR is family" and that's the kind of welcome we received. The food was amazing, the swim in the waterfall pool was cool and refreshing, and the climb up to Tarzan's Treehouse was exhilarating. It was a long day, but the bus was air conditioned and pretty comfortable. Our driver, Jimmy, was great with the sometimes not great roads and all the "sleeping police" we encountered (Carlos' name for the MANY speed bumps!). It was great learning from Carlos about the history and culture of the Dominican Republic throughout the day. It really added so much to the experience. ♥️🇩🇴 We highly recommend this excursion!

Our 12-hour tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! I was a little nervous at first because it was such a long day, but having Carlos as our guide and Jimmy as our driver made the entire experience absolutely amazing. We explored so much in one day — from going up into the mountains and getting breathtaking photos, to taking a boat ride through incredible caves, enjoying a delicious traditional lunch that was included, and visiting a beautiful waterfall. Seeing so much of the country along the way made the experience even more special. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. They picked us up and dropped us off right on time, and we got some of the best pictures and videos of our trip. Carlos kept everyone entertained all day with his humor and energy, and he was unbelievably knowledgeable — they called him “Google” because he seemed to know everything! This tour was 100% worth it, and we would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting.
This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Dominican Republic. Carlos was an exceptional guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting local stories and insights that made the entire day more engaging. You could tell he genuinely loves sharing his country with visitors. Sebastian, our driver, was equally impressive. Dominican traffic can be an adventure in itself, but he navigated it all so smoothly that I felt completely comfortable the entire day. What I loved most about this tour was the incredible variety packed into one day. We experienced breathtaking views, peaceful natural beauty, fascinating history, authentic local culture, and just the right amount of adventure. Montaña Redonda was absolutely stunning, and the ride up and down was so bumpy it felt like a theme park attraction—in the best possible way. Los Haitises was especially memorable. Gliding through the mangroves, surrounded by birds and dramatic scenery, felt like entering another world. The cave with centuries-old pictographs was fascinating, and the waterfall at the end was the perfect refreshing finish to the day. The local lunch and chocolate demonstration made the experience feel even more authentic and gave us a deeper appreciation for the area. A couple of tips: there are changing rooms at the waterfall, but you might want to wear your swimsuit under your clothes instead. And bring water shoes for the waterfall! The water is crystal clear and beautiful, but the rocky bottom is rough on the feet. This tour gave us a wonderful sense of the natural beauty and culture of the Dominican Republic - a welcome balance to the seclusion of the resort. Highly recommended, and many thanks to Carlos and Sebastian for making it such a memorable experience!
Absolutely incredible all day adventure led by our amazing tour guide, Joel. Breathtaking landscapes, beautiful wildlife, and so much culture and history to observe. Each of the three stops had something unique to offer and were all wonderful in their own way. The only thing I would note is that there's a significant amount of the day spent traveling in the bus from stop to stop, so just be prepared for that, bring headphones, etc. This is in no way a negative thing, just something that I myself wasn't prepared for.
A full day experience exploring the countryside & some of the area's incredible views. We had ample time to take in & enjoy the scenery. Pickup was right on time & at the exact location mentioned. The local foods were delicious! The guide was very knowledgeable & the driver & photographer were very professional.
This is a looong all day excursion. The sites are beautiful. The guide was great and the bus driver was super skilled. Everyone was friendly and we felt safe even when the surroundings were a bit sketchy.
The 3-in-1 adventure was one of my favorite excursions I did during my time in DR. Joel was a great tour guide (incredibly knowledgable and gave some great insights into the history/culture of DR), the photographers were friendly and helped capture some great pics, and the itinerary for the day was well planned/scheduled. It was a very long day, but absolutely worth it! The food at Rancho Salto Yanigua was so delicious and I loved the chocolate making demonstration! One recommendation for fellow travelers...make sure to bring water shoes to the waterfall as it is rocky and a bit slippery in some areas! Overall, everyone we encountered was very friendly and I think this tour is worth it considering how much it covered!
Positives: easy pickup and drop off, value for a whole day activity, the mountain and boating portion were great, the tour guide was personable and knowledgeable when engaged, there was a photographer on the tour who did an awesome job capturing moments for the group, good pacing of bathroom breaks. Cons: driver and tour guide got into a disagreement, bus driver made random stops to talk on the phone, the forest/waterfall portion was super sketchy!, some people were dropped off on the side of the road to be ushered onto smaller vehicles for drop off with cars honking on a busy roadway, the tour guide took a nap on the way back, and did not receive pickup instructions (I had to reach out to them first). The forest/waterfall portion gave me the total creeps. It looked like a refugee encampment built out of plastic crates and wiring in the middle of the woods. Totally unsafe and unsanitary conditions for lunch.
It was a fun day full of adventures! We were able to take amazing photos and experience the wonderful nature of the Dominican Republic. I highly recommend the tour.
Amazing experience. Well organized and full of beautiful views
Overall, this was a very enjoyable and rewarding trip. Montana Redonda and the Mangrove forest were particularly impressive. The guide provided lots of insights into Dominican history onboard the bus. I'm not sure why no make toilet was available at the end of the Mangrove visit. This should be addressed in future.
It was a great day with lots of history and information about the Dominican. The photographer was worth it and for sure wear shoes. The day was long but very good. We all had a blast and the food was great.
This experience was our favorite of our trip so far! We were amazed at Carlos’s fluency in so many languages. He shared great bits of information along the way to every stop and made this a memorable experience! Jimmy made the transportation so easy that we never had to worry about our personal items or lift a finger to do any work. The trip is long, so I wouldn’t recommend it for children, however, the mountain, park, and waterfall were absolutely worth it! Our favorite part was watching them make cacao and trying fresh Nutella. Yum! Thanks for a great trip!
It was really cool and beautiful! My only note would be to bring snacks because we were picked up from our hotel at 7am and then didn’t eat lunch until 2:30pm. The lunch was delicious though! The photos taken by the photographer were well worth it as well.
Excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable! The sights were incredible and memorable! Highly recommend! And DONT FORGET TO FEED MARIA!
This trip was really laid back and overall a good experience. I enjoyed that it wasn’t too touristy and we saw more cultural/nature aspects of punta Cana. It is a long excursion but still very fun. Carlos was very nice and helpful! Food was tasty.
Jason was amazing! We did a private tour and absolutely loved it. Expect a lot of driving but it’s definitely worth it. Jason made sure we had everything we needed and were well taken care of. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the REAL natural beauty and culture that is the Dominican Republic.
Our experience was great until the photographer is touching the leg of my girlfriend to explain that I need place myself in is position. It was disrespectful and would not recommend this tour. This behaviour should never be tolerated
The whole expierence was extremly nice. From our Tour Gide called Carlos Rodriguez to the people living in the jungle. I'm very thankful, to be having such an luxury expierence. Special thanks to Maria (don't forget her coconut bread).
This was a phenomenal day trip! We got to see so much of the country side and beautiful Dominican nature. Having lunch in a tree house and swimming in a waterfall we're my highlights! Our guide, Carlos, was energetic, very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about sharing his culture with us. We learned so much! Jason, the photographer, was lovely to spend the day with and he took great photos! Definitely let him take your photo all day and the buy them at the end. Our driver, Jimmy was also great! This was one of my favourite excursions across multiple all-inclusive trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Don't hesitate; book this trip! It was a good size group about 14. Be prepared for long drives though. If you are in Punta Cana, it will probably be 12+ hours. If you are in the Miche area, it will be quicker. There are some bumpy roads, so wear a sports bra.
This tour is an all day tour. They pick us up at around 7am at the entrance of our hotel. The weather started sunny at the Haitises which was a lovely ride on a boat to see the mangroves, some wild life on the way and impressive rock formations. The cave showed the petroglif paints from the Tahino people. Then, we went to Yanigua falls for lunch, where the guide made natural Nutella from the fresh cacao, delightful! Lunch in the waterfall was lovely and soaking in the cold waters was a great experience. Then we went to Montana Redonda, eventhough the weather was rainy, the ride to go up the mountain was very fun, as the road gave us a "natural massage". James took very creative pictures at top and people enjoyed the scenery and other activities like zip lining. We returned past 7pm at the hotel. Overall the experience was great and very recomended.
It was not as it was advertised. The 10 hr excursion ended up being 14 hours and we ended up being late for our dinner reservation that evening. It was a wasted day as we really didn’t see or do much except sit on a bus. Very upsetting and disappointing.
Great visits to Montaña Redonda, Haitises and Spa Yanigua. Well organized, they even provided bottles of water. Loved the lunch in the jungle. Carlos was great to explain local culture.
The tour guides were so kind, lots of driving but it gives you a chance to see your surroundings. I did not feel rushed at all. Swimming in the river and waterfall was amazing! The food was amazing. I went solo and would 100% go again!!!
This was a good day out but not one of my best. Very long day if you are being picked up from Punta Cana(0615am to 2000pm). First stop was the swings on the mountain, great views but not enough time. Only 30 minutes at the top. Second stop was the waterfall with fresh chocolate tasting and lunch with a chance to buy stones and jewelry. Third stop national park with a short boat ride to the cave. Our tour guide was very good.
The cave made of coral with unique ancient petroglyphs and boat ride through incredible mangroves did not disappoint. The authentic food and flavors at the Yanigua waterfall, the route through small towns, and the informative commentary by the guide, Carlos, provided a great taste of the local culture. The bumpy ride up the mountain was a bonus thrill with great views to boot. Very reasonably priced photo package is also available.
The tour if you factor in pickup and drop off is longer then stated. It's more like 12 hours. A car picked us and another party and guide up, then transfered us onto a bus, but the transfer point was very strange and the vehicle had extremely slipperly floor mats. A sketchy roadside cafe litered with trash. Another party was picked up at a gas station. The big bus was comfortable but travel time between the stops were really long and the guide's commentary involved more corny jokes and complaining about how tough life is the DR, and how they depend on tips, then facts about the places we were visiting. The time was very poorly managed. The mountain, I can understand as there were ziplines and areal bikes, but the other time slots I would rate poorly. We spent more time looking at coffee, cocao and jewels at the Falls, then we did at the rock formations. Los Haitises was beautiful, but instead of going at a slow and liesurely pace to allow us to really take it all in, the boatman was speeding so fast and wanted a TIP even though he was already being paid by the tour company. The boat didn't sail out of Sabana del Mar, but from a private plantation down a mangrove river. We only visited one cave, but it was very interesting, but it was so dark and the guide didn't provide us with any flashlights. People had to use their phones to light their path. The falls were much more beautiful in person and the buffet was delicious, although the chicken was kind of dry, but well seasoned. The guide made it seem though like there is a spa treatment included, but it was more getting in the water and lathering yourself in mud. There was also a proffesional photographer who can take and sell you pictures. In terms of the sites, they were all very beautiful and interesting, but after the tour concluded, getting back to our hotel was an absolute nightmare! The way WE understood it, one party was supposed to get off with our guide. WE were supposed to get into a car at a gas station, with the same party we rode with in the morning, and the rest were supposed to get in another car. Out of nowhere, the bus pulled over on the side of the highway, and half the tour group was instructed by another person who was not the guide, to get into another vehicle. We were confused, as it was only supposed to be US and another party. Half the people were dropped off, then our driver, who only spoke Spanish suddenly pulled into a gas station, and we saw the party we were supposed to be with getting into yet ANOTHER vehicle. At this point we were completely confused as to whether we were supposed to stay or also get into the other car. It was the latter. The driver dropped the other group off, but when it came time for US, he had no clue where he was going and drove us to the wrong hotel, even though he literally had a picture and map of the drop off point, which was the same one we were picked up at. I punched the location and directions into MY phone and he took my phone to navigate and was STILL confused and began to drive in the opposite direction! After finally figuring out east from west, he finally dropped us at the right location, but we literally had to navigate him. This was completely unacceptable and there is no excuse for this! I also don't understand why we had to switch vehicles TWO times to get back to our hotel! Extremely disorganized! There needs to be some better dropoff sysyem.
Suzy is an amazing tour guide! Very informative and truly cares for the people on the tour. Had a great time
We stayed in the Meliá resort area of Punta Cana and the tour took a total of 13.5 hours. 2/3 of the time was on the bus. The stops were good and interesting but WAY too much time picking up other passengers and on the bus. If I had known that ahead of time, I wouldn’t have booked it.
