Don’t waste your money on this! No lunch or drinks. No “history” on the city. Driver did not speak English so could not communicate with us. Basically was a taxi that took us to 3 Souvenir stores and an overpriced mall for $400 for 3 people.

Punta Cana is home to some popular destinations and landmarks that are a must-see for visitors. One of the most well-known areas is the vibrant square in Bávaro, which features iconic spots such as the famous Hard Rock Café and the lively Coco Bongo nightclub. Get a glimpse into everyday Dominican life with a brief opportunity to explore local culture and traditions. You’ll have the chance to visit small markets or shops where locals gather, offering a unique look at the island’s lifestyle. Visit Taino Gifts Punta Cana, a unique stop where you can dive into the rich cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic. Here, you’ll have the chance to taste some of the country’s finest offerings, including rich Dominican chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, hand-rolled cigars, and the famous local drink, mamajuana—a flavorful rum-based concoction often enjoyed as a traditional Dominican treat. After the tasting experience, you'll have free time to shop for locally made crafts, souvenirs, and gifts, perfect for taking a piece of the Dominican Republic home with you. From here, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of important local institutions, including a public school and the City Hall, which play vital roles in the community.
Take in an overview of the bustling Bavaro City Center, a vibrant hub that features a mix of shops, restaurants, and essential services. This area is a great reflection of the Dominican lifestyle. Whether you're interested in shopping for souvenirs, grabbing a bite to eat, or just exploring the local scene, the City Center has something to offer for every visitor.

I highly recommend the private tour. You can customize how much time you spend at each stop, e.g. less time in Downtown Punta Cana. The lunch was spectacular! Ismael was a great tour guide! You should request him!
SCAM! I was contacted via What's App by 849-520-0320 asking for an additional $100 claiming it is for the taxi driver while at the beach. The listing on Tripadvisor says the beach time is included. If you need more money for this service then increase the price on Tripadvisor. There are people who can and will pay it. The whole point of booking through Tripadvisor is to ensure a safe and fun experience while in a new country. Booking a tour then being asked to pay more money feels bad and disappointing. So I canceled the excursion.
It was ok. The group was small and nice vehicle. The time listed at each stop is not correct. We spent 5 minutes at Macao and no place was longer than 30 to 40 minutes max. The driver was nice but in phone most of the time. And they never sent the email confirming pick up time or details. I had to hint them down the night before. However all of this seems pretty typical with any excursions in Pubta Cana. The best part was the lunch. Food was very good it's not worth the cost though. Should be half of the listed price.
We’ve been on many excursions and traveled to several amazing countries, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience we’ve had. Our guide arrived about 40 minutes late. We understand that traffic happens, so we tried to be flexible. At the first stop, a different driver showed up to take us to the next location and told us he didn’t speak English. That was frustrating, as this was supposed to be a cultural tour where communication with the guide is important. When we arrived at the next stop, our original guide rejoined us. We asked about the drinks that were listed as included in the tour, and he told us he had forgotten them. Again, we tried to brush it off. At the following stop, it was pouring rain, and he had also forgotten the umbrellas. During the van rides, instead of learning about the area, we listened to him argue on the phone about personal matters, which made the experience uncomfortable. Lunch itself was fantastic, but we were surprised to be charged $11 USD for a soda, despite drinks being advertised as included. That felt misleading. On the ride back to the resort, the phone arguments continued. Overall, the tour felt unprofessional, disorganized, and uncomfortable. It sounded like it would be a great experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
Tour was a lie. You dont see the city. Its a scam. You only see stores and when you ask questions there is no organization. Driver didnt know where to go. He was unsure of the itenerary. We had to call multiple times to get in touch with office. We stopped the tour and they wouldnt refund our money.
Everything was great. It was fun and we learned a lot about the city. The driver was great also and informative and fun to talk with.
our tour guide ales was a incredible. made it the best day of our vacation, he brought us everywhere we wanted and made sure we had a great time when we were there. you’ll be very lucky if he is your guide.

I absolutely enjoyed this experience. It wasn’t just informative—it was genuinely pleasant. We visited local spots, tried traditional products, and learned about the area’s history. I felt like I got to see the real heart of the city, not just the tourist zone
I’ve taken several tours before, but this one truly made me feel connected to Dominican culture. Everything was well-organized, and the itinerary was both diverse and engaging. By the end of the day, I felt like I had learned so much about local life
A perfect break from the typical beach activities. Ideal for travelers who want to understand the real essence of Punta Cana. I especially enjoyed the visit to the small markets and the guide’s insights about daily life. Very authentic and personal
Excellent experience from start to finish. I loved that the pace wasn’t rushed, allowing us to enjoy each stop. Seeing the more local side of Punta Cana was one of the highlights of my trip. The guide’s energy and warmth made the whole tour even more memorable
This tour was a pleasant surprise.we walked through local neighborhoods, tried typical products, and learned about the city's history.l appreciated how safe and relaxed everything felt.l would definitely do it again.
I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was incredibly attentive and explained everything in such a clear and engaging way. I feel like I got to understand the real Punta Cana, not just what you see from the resort. Highly recommended if you want an authentic experience
I didn’t expect the City Tour to be this interesting. I thought we would only see tourist spots, but we ended up exploring local markets, meeting friendly people, and discovering places you won’t find online. It truly gave me a deeper connection to Punta Cana’s culture
Such a wonderful way to explore Punta Cana’s heritage. We discovered places we never would have found on our own, and the pace of the tour was perfect for taking photos and asking questions
The trip to Santo Domingo is long, but the tour company made it as comfortable as possible. The air-conditioned bus and friendly guide made the hours fly by
I enjoyed how the guide mixed historical facts with fun stories about the city. It wasn’t just a lecture; it felt like walking through history with a friend. The lunch stop was also fantastic
Our group had a small delay when one of the vehicles had to be replaced, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally. Despite the hiccup, we still managed to see everything on the itinerary
We traveled as a family with two children, and the tour was surprisingly kid-friendly. The guide kept them entertained while still providing interesting information for adults. It felt very safe and well-organized
The pace of the tour was perfect. We didn’t feel rushed, and at each stop we had time to walk around and take pictures. The guide also answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm
The flight was quiet and punctual. The staff was very helpful and the seats were comfortable. The whole trip felt nice and when the process came it was quick. Overall, a good experience.
