We had a good time but I was really disappointed how unprofessional the company was. First, we were given a pick up time of 15minutes before the tour started, which was 8:15am. At 7:15am I checked my phone and noticed a WhatsApp message that the pickup was at 7:30am. I don't ever use WhatsApp. I was lucky to have it installed on my phone. Why couldn't the tour operator email me with the pickup time a day or two before? I messaged the tour operator back if we could be few minutes late and was told no. One of our group members was 2 minutes late and our driver was furious, yelling at someone on the phone and blaming "los clientes"... he couldn't speak any English. Then he stopped the car for couple of minutes in the middle of traffic because he was very upset due to traffic being bad that morning, making our delay even worse. We switched from a private transport to a bus half way. I am not going to complain about the quality of the bus, but you get what you pay for, so I shouldn't have expected much. Once we got to the boogie place we waited for an hour to actually start the tour. This wait was a bit excessive. We spent a lot of time at the local casa tipica, not enough time at the cenote cave and not enough time on Macao beach. We weren't given any water bottles either. The buggies were fun, no issues them breaking down on us. There were only couple of places with mud, otherwise we mainly drove them on the road and dirt. The plus was prepurchasing picture package, so we didn't have to worry about taking our own.

The locations were what we expected. Fun and interesting. The reason we will not go to this company again, is after spending money on marked up water shoes for the cenote, we were givin the worst piece of crap buggy anyone could ask for. This thing was a workout to turn and brake. We also never recieved the free bottles of water that each ticket was supposed to get, so I would bring your own. Each stop was full of pushy sales people who do not stop. So be prepared to say NO a lot. The village you stop at first is to sample things they make there (I think). I’m just annoyed. Quality of vehicle was horrible even tho they had tons of brand new buggy’s there. And the pushy people at every stop was a huge annoyance. Spend more and go with a better company if the money isn’t a big deal to you.
Great experience! Would very much recommend!! The tour operators are friendly, and have good knowledge of the local area.
Absolutely diabolical !!! To begin with was waiting on transport for 40mins before leaving, to drive 2 streets , to have to change vehicle. Got to the tour operator , waited around for 2 hours. Kept getting pulled aside for upselling , then told to sit back down. Every-time we asked someone when we were leaving it was 5 minutes. Unprofessional staff who don’t care about you as consumers!! Absolutely awful, ended up leaving and getting an uber back to hotel. Waste of time and complete waste of money! AVOID !!! Worth paying extra or booking through your airline !!
Never did activity. Booked for 10:30am, left buggy place by ourselves at 12:30 because activity never started. Just kept trying to upsell and saying 5 minutes. Waste of time and money. Paid for uber back to hotel. Loads of people complaining there.
Great experience. The host and tour guides are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10 recommended!
Had a blast staff was very hospitable. Would definitely ride with them again. Upgraded to the newer buggy it was great experience.
We came late to the meeting spot but they came back for us. They were over accommodating and friendly. We had a fun time. Come prepared with crocs and glasses for the mud!
We had such a great time & Cindy was the best !! If we ever come back we will definitely book again thank you so much for the experience!!
It was the best experience ever. It was fun from start to finish. It really earned 5 stars. Thank you so much. Thanks so much.
Booked this experience a week in advance. Texted the day of to confirm pickup. They responded and sent the pick up time. We went to the lobby at the time they told us to and texted to let them know we were in the lobby. After a few minutes of no response I texted asking if we should meet them at the gate of the resort or if the lobby was fine. Was told to wait a moment. We then said we would be waiting at the outside gate of the resort to make things easier. Then a random number started messaging saying they were coming to pick us up for the tour but his English was very bad and even when my Spanish speaking partner tried to coordinate the pickup with him he kept saying things like “you need to ask the security to let me through” even though we were waiting at the security gate and there was no vehicle there. We waited outside for over 30mins then were told to just ask the hotel to send a taxi for us to their location and that they would pay the taxi when we arrived. So we got in the taxi and arrived at the “meeting place” (a gas station) where apparently there was supposed to be someone there that would lead us to the actual buggy establishment. After that 30min taxi ride we had to wait another maybe 40 or 45mins in this taxi because no one showed up. Then finally we get to the buggy place and the people there tell us they don’t know about the taxi situation and that they’re not paying. And also that apparently they have no more buggies available for us to even use so we were sent all the way back to our resort and forced to pay an additional almost $60 for a a taxi. I asked for a full refund and compensation for the taxi and so far have been given nothing. This whole ordeal took practically 3 hours and we ended up booking another tour through our resort that was MUCH better they were called ADVENTURE BOOGIES book with them instead. The tour we did was a sunset mud buggy, cenote cave party, with open bar and buffet dinner that was really good
They tried to scam us 6 times in total. In the option of pickups there is Club Med Punta Canada , but when we reserved everything and paid the day of the activity we got no information at all so we decided to call them (we had to call 7 times on different numbers to get a hold of them) they were supposed to come pick us up at 10:30AM and never came and told us we needed to meet at a KFC 20min from the hotel even tho the pick up was included in the activity. They even tried to call Tripadvisor telling them to cancel the activity because we weren’t here and so tried to steal our money. So we had to pay extra for a taxi to go there and then when we finished the activity we asked for them to drop us at the hotel because it was included and then again they didn’t wanted to because and I quote "the hotel is too far" even tho it was a 18min from where they were. Then again here we had to insist 5 times for them to continue farther and drop us in front of the gate because the driver was too lazy to do what we paid for. He tried to leave us by ourselves in the middle of nowhere 5 times. I absolutely do not recommend this activity the buggy was fun but if you want to do it get another company. They were the worst and the most disgusting I’ve ever seen.
They will upsell everything. We paid for 5 buggies and they only gave us 3. They tried to charge us for 2 more. Also, the private tour is not worth it. They will sell you water shoes, and you don’t need them. Pictures is more money. Everything is fast paced. The chocolate making is just someone selling chocolate out of their house. Buggies looked they made them in their backyard.
Very fun great weather Making chocolate wasn’t really making chocolate he showed you and then everyone tried to sell something Very awkward
Very fun. The ride will be bumpy and muddy, so be prepared. Bring a scaf and goggles for your adventure or you buy them at the local shop.$$$$$$$. Overhaul, the experience was great.
This was such a fun adventure. I wish the description would've let us know to have a bandana to cover our face and eye covering and closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting very muddy. It would've saved some $$ instead of buying them there. You do get very muddy, but that was part of the fun. Also bring or wear your swim suit, because you have an opportunity to go swimming at a beautiful beach. The jeeps did stall often (perhaps operator error) but there was always someone following or nearby to get you started again. The team was very nice and it was a great, safe way to see some of the beautiful Dominican countryside. I purchased the photo package (we had 10 people with us) and we had a dedicated photographer that captured great shots of our group. I felt it was very reasonable, and was able to share all of the photos with everyone in the group. They also offered a "private" tour, but we didn't purchase that, and it was fine just going along with the group. Of course at each of the stops there were vendors selling their wares, so you could spend some money there. At the beach stop we purchased the fried calamari and the garlic shrimp mofongo, and it was absolutely amazing! The $30 per person price was very reasonable for all that was included but as I said above we had to pay extra for bandanas and goggles.
so much fun! take water shoes and bandana. be aware they upsell & try to charge more for everything but it was fun. we paid 30 & then extra 20 for private
So fun! People tend to be a bit pushy with sales but otherwise a great experience. Fast paced, make sure you pack lots of sunscreen and water and wear shoes that cover your toes.
It was a really good experience really good staff we had a great experience with them the beach was amazing the cave too and the chocolate taste test and everything it was really yummy i really recommend if you come to punta cana !!
The routes and the experience was pretty decent for the price of the tour. Throwing you a little nugget eat a meal before your tour!
its okay tbh. i had fun and the place was nice. i get to see alot of girls tbh. but 1 thing i dont like is that they scam me tbh i paid 120 for food and it was just a snapper, 2 water, plantain and chicken. “AT THE BEACH”
Buggy tour was so extremely fun. The guides were nice. The buggy itself was a little dated, but it got us from point A to point B. The stops we made weren’t very long and felt rushed.
Cindy is very kind, funny, and respectful! All the staff was helpful and personable. I loved the Macao beach and ATVs!! If you’re in town please enjoy this great experience with family and friends!!
Very kind people who went above and beyond for our tour. I went for my birthday and spent about 4 hours ridding horses, atvs, going to swim in macao and in the cenote. I also got beautiful pictures! Overall so happy with my experience.
So fun! Would definitely go again! Expect to get dirty! Cover your face and definitely bring water shoes. The beach was beautiful!
Jay Tours took us to Suzuka Tours boogey rides. Went through the fields, it rained that morning so it made it extra fun and muddy. Then we went to Macao beach and hot a refreshing clean dip in the ocean. Grabbed some snacks with the locals and headed to our next stop the caves of OYOS DEL SALADO. Crazy deep cave with natural spring. Overall great tour.
Was a great adventure. Had a lot of fun from the moment we got to the buggy-place. Transportation to the buggy wasn't pleasant, the driver stopped for own errands and it took a very long time to get there. So we would recommend booking your buggy trip at this place, but had a hard time with the transfer.
Very late to start, very unprofessional, everything is a sell, buggy’s broke down. Every stop is just dozens of people selling stuff aggressively. Very disappointing. Our guide was nice only part that was good
Tour guide was very excellent and ensure that no one was left behind . Best excursion we will definitely book for our next trip
Buggies themselves were great. But Macao beach was closed off due to high tides I think is what they said, however they did not mention this when purchasing the tour or refund any of the money back. All we did was ride the buggies to the cenote and go to the chocolate/coffee plantation. Even there they consistently harrass you to buy their products despite saying no 100s of times.
Pick up was very disorganized. Our excursion time was to he at 10:30 with a pick up 15 min before hand. I recieved a text the day of that said pick up would be 10:50. I called and they told me excursion was at 11:00 and pick up would be 10:50. At 10:50 knowbody showed, called said pick would be 11:20... still knowbody at 11:20. At 11:30 a taxi picks us up and takes us to the end of the resort where we meet a bus... as we get out the taxi wants $10. I told him that's on the buggy tour and walked off. Bus takes us to the excursion. On the excursion someone was breaking down every quarter of a mile...equipment in bad need of overhaul. The tour was cut short and we did not go to the beach... tour guide said be cause of flooding. Overall very disorganized business.
They didn’t even come to pick us up and lied about being at the entrance. Waste of time and money, we were very upset.
Absolutely the worst experience ever! First, the driver wouldn't come to the hotel lobby and made us walk to the street. Then we had over 2 hours in a van picking up others. Then, with an already packed van, he stopped at another resort and tried to cram 7 more people into the 1 seat that was open. When we finally got to the buggy place, it was 12:35, our tour was scheduled for 10:30. So we signed in, got instructions and sat there for another hour waiting. Finally, around 1:30 we were on the buggy and began. The first stop was a waste of time, basically pushy vendors trying to sell overpriced junk. The next stop st the cave was hugely disappointing as we were originally told we had 15 mins there but when we arrived the guide said we have 2 mins, enough for everyone to jump in the cenote then climb out and back into the buggy for the ride to the beach. When we got there, we walked what seemed like a mile and were given 15 minutes. Overall a very rushed, delayed and disappointing experience. What was supposed to be a "half day" tour turned into a painful 7 hour ordeal because of the mismanagement by the tour company.
A fantastic, dirty experience - great fun. The cenote was a waste of time, as was the stop at a bar and a chocolate demonstration - otherwise it would be 5 stars
Great tour. The whole family had a blast. We had a group of 12 and every single one of us enjoyed this tour.
Best time ever!! Mr. Chocolate was outstanding. The only thing that I was not satisfied with, was no complimentary water, they sell them at $2. However, they still had the lowest price for the same service. I highly recommend them.
A very good experience. I really liked it. I relaxed. I was on a business plan and I wanted to deviate a little from the routine. Thank you for your attention.
We really liked the experience we had on this buggy tour with my husband. It was a very beautiful adventure. Thank you for the services provided.
Horrible, everyone is very mercenary. They try all the time to sell a cheap $20 sneaker at the beginning of the walk, a Shopee glasses that would cost 10 reais (they were probably selling for more than $20), and a $5 bandana. They say it is essential for the trip, but it's not. I refused to buy and went for a walk in Havaianas, a thin sarong like a bandana on my face, and my sunglasses. Is there mud? Yes, but nothing is impossible. Even for small things you feel forced to spend, buy... They are horrible. Indeed, I didn't feel well and when you are Brazilian, it's even worse. Old cars, they had problems all the time, to start and stop everything in direct connection, a danger, the company was Bucazip. Don't do that to her!
The buggy ride is very nice. But you should know that all stops are only made to make you spend, merchants can be borderline correct.
My story with this tour was fat and joy, I explained, at the beginning of the activity we ran out of buggy, then they got us one, but it didn’t work, we were disappointed with the Enterprise in charge of the tour, until they brought us another one in better condition than the last and begged them to accept it, to follow the group that left like 20 minutes before, we went from disappointment and grief to pure adrenaline, passing through puddles and mud, reaching a Cenote and ending up on the beach of Macau.
Buggi excursions Well I tell you that I went with my family yesterday enjoy a biggie tour we visited the typical house of the say with the best Creole coffee and the best cigars was my favorite place We've thrown ourselves into the 25-foot deep cenote and we didn't want to get out of there. The crystal-clear fresh water relaxed us quite a bit. Macau beach the best stop than the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean I will recommend them with new friends soon
