A stressful and disappointing experience – would not use again Our experience with this transfer company was extremely disappointing, with both our arrival and departure journeys causing unnecessary stress and anxiety. On the morning of our departure for the Dominican Republic, we received a text message claiming that we had not paid enough for the transfer. A series of messages followed in which the driver threatened not to collect my wife and me unless we paid more. There appeared to be little concern that the discrepancy was an issue between the company and TripAdvisor regarding the advertised price of the service. With no realistic time to find an alternative, we reluctantly paid significantly more than the original price – almost double what we had expected to pay. Unfortunately, things did not improve on arrival. Despite having a sign, there was no driver waiting for us. We waited around 10–15 minutes before someone eventually appeared from behind the boards. We then had to wait a further 10–15 minutes while someone found Wi-Fi and contacted the driver to get them to come into the airport itself. Having already been unsettled by the threatening messages that morning, this was a very uncomfortable start to our holiday. The return journey was similarly frustrating. We agreed a collection time the evening before, but it felt as though we had to manage the entire process ourselves. We were left to work out the appropriate pickup time rather than being able to rely on the company to account for our flight departure, journey time and the airline’s recommendation to arrive three hours before departure. With just two hours to go before our agreed pickup, we were suddenly told that the company was too busy and asked whether we could leave an hour later. This would have meant missing the recommended airport check-in window. We were then given the choice of arriving either four hours or two hours before departure, neither of which reflected the arrangements we had already discussed. Only around 30 minutes before the agreed collection time did the company finally agree, seemingly reluctantly, to the original plan. A holiday transfer should provide peace of mind, reliability and professional service. Instead, we experienced last-minute demands for additional money, poor communication, unnecessary waiting and a complete lack of reassurance at both ends of our holiday. We would not use this company again and would strongly advise other travellers to consider their options carefully before booking. The advertised price and agreed arrangements should be honoured, and customers should not have to deal with this level of stress on what should be a straightforward airport transfer.

My family and I had a great experience with Aubain tours. They were very professional and helpful when transporting us to and from the airport. Michael was our contact personnel from Aubian transport company and he did an excellent job. He was very polite, curtious, helpful and very professional. Also, he provided us with simple and important information needed to traverse in Punta Cana. Thank you Michael!! They atmosphere was great and drivers were excellent. They even play some of the music we like. It was 6 of us and we spend 6 days in Punta Cana. The transportation free was very affordable and we got good value for money.

nightmare experience. the operator asked me to provide my arrival flight information the day before, which i did. upon arrival. i communicated every step of the way when i landed, when i was going through customs, and when i was picking up my bags. once i picked up my bags, the operator told me the driver left besides we took too long to come out, as if we can control customs time. my flight landed at 1pm and the driver expected me to be at his car at 1:05 pm. he then said since i took long to come out (standard customs/baggage claim time) that the driver left and we had to wait for him to come back. then he started ranting that i don’t understand how heavy traffic is. this was nearly two hours after my flight landed. it was very stressful

Aubain Tours & Transfer with Misleading advertisement online with photos ! They were late, The driver never had a sign with our names to find us. Old vehicles/vans, plus the van overheated and broke down. We were stranded on the side of the road in the heat. It took a long time for the company to hire an independent driver/van to pick us up. When the van broke down the driver was talking to his boss on his cell on speaker. Instead of trying to get a vehicle to pick us up and take care of the clients, they were arguing about who's fault it was about the van not working. I had to interrupt and tell the driver to get a vehicle to pick us up. The boss told the driver via cell speaker, why was he talking to the client ? He should not talk to the client that was us. Bottom line, terrible experience, this company does not put clients first.

Had to wait at least 40 min for arrival. Once we got in the car the trip was very erratic. Driver drove so wild that I actually got sick. He took us to the wrong location, twice ?? I didn't understand that. I gave the hotel name and place in reservation. Didn't get to destination until 830. Very disappointed

We are happy they came on time. The van from the airport to the hotel was not to pleasant as first impression but the driver was nice. The van from the hotel to the airport was more pleasant clean seats . I made a mistake on my booking for the day that we was supposed to leave to the airport and they where able to fixed, and my husband and I are very thankful for that. One observation: Let the costumer know who is coming to pick them up, including a picture of the driver. We arrived on August 24-29

I had to change my transportation arrangements three times because of Flight delayed again and again, and each time the team was incredibly patient, understanding, and accommodating. Pick up from the airport was a little difficult as we did not know where to meet the pick up staff. It took us a little while to find the person but once we did he was very helpful with grabbing and pulling the luggage. The walk to the car was a bit far as opposed to where other taxis were picking up from. We had to wait about 30 mins for the driver to arrive (i wish there was not a wait). The driver was very friendly and allowed us to stop at a store to get waters and snack for my son. This was the best part i think. Transport to the hotel was efficient. Pickup from the hotel back to the airport was a little delayed. I requested at 10:30 AM pickup but was told the driver would arrive at 11 AM. The pickup was further delayed due to the car not being able to pass hotel security initially. Luckily the bellhop was able to help and contacted security to let the car in. The delays are not good when you are traveling with a large family and need to get to the airport to catch a flight. The vehicles need to improve their AC units as it was rather warm in the vehicles. Other than this… it was an okay service that needs improvement on punctuality since travelers are on time constraints.

We went there 7 days ago for our family vacation and they were really helpful even when I did a booking mistake on the dates, they were able to accommodate me. The driver was super friendly and helpful, telling us stories, we felt really great talking to him. I would definitely recommended booking with them!! I landed at 1130 and the transfer service knew the time. I waiting 20 minutes to meet the people and another 45 mins for the vehicle. 1 hour to wait is unacceptable.

We booked a round trip and had a good experience both ways. We were in constant touch with our greeter Michael upon arriving who met us with a screen with my name on it and then walked us to our transfer car. For the transfer back to the airport, a driver picked us up on time from the lobby of our hotel. We paid 30 USD for the way back. Overall very good value for the money.

This was our first trip to Dominican Republic, and some things naturally are new and as such a learning curve. One of those lessons learned was transportation. Transportation from Airport to Hotel and back, or excursions to various places from the Hotel. Booking was simple and straightforward. Meeting with Transportation service was done via Whatsapp, primarily because Phone service switching countries and getting onto airport WiFi can be a challenge when pressed for time, in a new place and language barriers. Team that helped us get in touch at the airport, awaiting us at the passthrough Cafeteria in the Airport was an easier way to meet without hassle outside of the airport. Whatsapp communication helped establish better timing due to lengthy Immigration/Customs process and long lines at the airport. Driver was just a cheerful and well spoken English speaker... and it was just fun to talk WorldCup as the games were happening, which made the 30min ride to and from hotel entertaining. For sure would use them again.

The pick up from the airport was fine but we paid for round trip and the round trip info never turned up. The day before we were leaving I was like hey so you coming still? No response. Do it again and they couldn't find the reservation and needed all my info again. Did not instill confidence. Final confirmation was that morning.. would not use again.
