Private Saona Island Excursion

Ivan Hernandez was the best. Took care of us from the beginning to end. Made the whole experience so enjoyable. Isla Saona was the best. No seaweed.

The boat ride was fun also, we had a fun Pirate on board making the day great, food was good. Photographer and boat crew were great. Definitely recommend them

The pickup was delayed; however, it was still fun. The snorkeling wasn’t as expected but the services provided by the tour guide, captain and assistants made up for it. They made us feel safe and even watched our stuff so we can explore . The food was wonderful and plentiful. I’d book with them again.

It was great to be on a small boat rather than crammed with 50+ people on larger boat. Our guide brought us to every location before the big boats and crowds arrived and then we moved on to the next. They arranged a nice private lunch on Saona. We had a great day.

I wanted to share my recent experience with a private excursion to Saona Island, which was truly awesome. I highly recommend connecting with Tony, who was exceptionally attentive and a pleasure to work with throughout the trip.

I’ve been looking for a private experience , away for the crowds, as the service stated. Nothing like it happened , just the speed boat was for both of us, then they operated like if we were 30. The exact same spots , itinerary , and routes as the massive tours for a hefty price tag. Even though a photographer was on the boat and he told us that was for us. He tooked pictures and later on told us that was on a extra cost (upon the hefty price we paid) I do not recommend this and is really hard to find a proper tour no matter the costs that is different tailored and alternate to the massive repetitive sad tours that go to isla saona and surroundings , a shame.

Had a great time and the personal service was fantastic. The crew did a great job keeping drinks in our hand and smiles on our faces.

Everything was spectacular from the pick up to the transfer to Bayahibe from the resort. The boat ride was fun and the crew managed by El Capitan Raul was fun. They attended us with every need with drink serving and food luch in the island and left to us spend as much time as we needed at the natural pool and on the island. Photographer and boat crew all were great .. Sol Cana is an A+++ recommended company and service.

It was wonderful experience with Captain Jack Sparrow!!!!! His name is Raul. He’s the best with his crew. The food was authentic delicious home style cooking… They really take care of you! We are definitely doing it again!!!! Thank you so much for taking care of us!!!

Convenient and quick ride to/from boat and to Sauna Island. Lunch was delicious. Everywhere we go is too crowded. Workers on the boat were desperate for money, trying to sell us jewelry and photos (quite annoying). At the end, the captain asked me 3 times to tip them and made sure i tipped everyone separately which ruined my trip.

Private tour was the way to go! Avoided crowds, got to do what we want. Beautiful beaches. I’m photographer was definitely on boat so be forewarned. Though, the pics were good so we opted to buy - nice to have.

Wouldn’t recommend - day ruined by the rain which was forecasted but the company weren’t willing to rearrange for us. You get taken to 3 pre planned stops and the snorkelling is in a dirty part just off a place from the restaurant. You’d expect more from a private boat tour

Unfortunately, we did realize that the speedboat trip to the island would be so rough and we had to turn back because our kids were so scared and one of our passengers had a bad back. We never made it to the island and we’re very disappointed.

The best way to experience Saona Island. Private van, to and from port, private boat with photographer. They were ready to make sure we had a great day and we did!

This is perfect if you want to avoid the party / crowd atmosphere of the larger boats. We did a 6 person (family) private tour. There is a private car that picked us up from the hotel and transported us to the dock. It was busy there but our driver took us directly to our boat / guide. The boat got us quickly to each spot, usually ahead of the big crowds. Natural swimming hole, Blue Lagoon, snorkeling, Saona island, Lunch spot (private table, great food), back to the Blue Lagoon deeper out to see the star fish. They do take photos, which was a little exhausting, and sell them to you at the end. We bought for around $150. They are excellent and close to 300 photos. Tip the guide at the end and the boat driver / drink boy. Then private car back to the resort. Morning pickup was at 8:30 am and we were back at the resort by 5:00 pm.

Very nice experience. We all had a great time. Everyone was so nice and made sure we enjoyed our time.

Where do I even start, I first want to thank Sol Cana Tours for giving all 9 of my friends the best service and experience ever. They treated us like family , the day we went to Saona Ambioris Cruz our private driver really help us out and I thank him a lot. When you go to Punta Cana expect to party and drink a lot! We are lucky that Ambioris helped us with everything we needed going there and back, you treat them right they will treat you right !

it was perfect! our tour guide was Max had 2 helper/bartenders on the boat, they had a professional camera guy, who took the best pics of us. they were all amazing, we had a group of 12. and he pretty let us do whatever we wanted. it was so nice doing the private tour and worth every penny. would highly recommend, I loved how we got around fast in the speedboat too. Bring sunblock!

We had a really wonderful time. The recommendations from the crew to flip flop the order of our stops meant that we had the entire island to ourselves for a period of time and that was magical and unexpected. Lunch was delicious and plentiful and we really enjoyed our time at the blue lagoon with the starfish. The captain was skilled, the drinks were refreshing, and the photos (which I didn’t realize were offered) turned out really nice. Saona is paradise and should not be missed. Highly recommended. I was SO thankful we booked a private boat for this trip. It was worth the extra money for us to avoid the super crowded catamaran tours.

Sol tour was amazing! Great service, started with the driver who picked us up at the resort. He was pleasant and patient. Our tour guide was informative and knowledgeable. The staff was amazingly, caring and welcoming. The cruise started and ended on time, my family and had a great time from the moment we stepped into the boat to the moment we returned to the resort. Our private boat tour to Solana was outstanding and worth every penny. Beautiful island and well worth taking the time to see. I would highly recommend this boat trip to anyone.

Our private excursion to Saona island was the best part of our vacation. The speedboat was blast especially for our two grandkids ages 12 & 13 as the calm sea allowed us to go 18 miles per hour, easily passing other boats along the way. We enjoyed the two natural swimming pools and the two stops for snorkeling. Lunch was at Saona, which was a treat. We really enjoyed this private tour because everything was on our own time, our direction and not have to fight for your own space . The crew was helpful, especially Max, who offered to carry my wife down and up the boat for all the stops because the boat stairs was difficult for her. Max also agreed to my daughter’s request to do a side trip to shop for semiprecious stones (she does jewelry). Back at the office, Antonio was also very helpful and knowledgeable. This was a great experience and would recommend it. The only negative was that one of us became seasick at the start, but that went away eventually.

Overall we had an amazing experience on our private trip to Saona Island. The crew was so friendly and accommodating. They had music flowing the entire time and kept the beers coming. They took us to 3 stops one where we were able to hang out in the water right off the boat, one for lunch, and one to our final destination were we were able to hang out on the beach and enjoy the views. The lunch stop was amazing we were provided a delicious meal which included a fresh platter of fruits, rice, fried chicken, fried fish, and salad. From the staff to the over all experience I have no complaints would definitely recommend this excursion!

The private excursion was absolutely amazing! The crew was fun and very nice! They were interactive and made sure that we were comfortable and happy throughout the whole visit!

Great experience! The crew was so helpful and awesome! We had our own real life Pirate who was very attentive to what we wanted. The lunch provided was amazing! The only down side that the crew can’t avoid is the vendors on the beach, they are annoying! Overall, it was an awesome experience!

Beautiful day on an amazing island with wonderful friends! The champagne and drinks were great and served all day, and was very welcomed, however, there was no bottled water. The lunch on the island was great with a beautiful table setting. We were able to see turtles, stingray, star fish and we had a great snorkeling experience, however, there were not enough snorkels available for the 12 of us on this private tour. The only downside was having a few unexpected additional guests with us the entire day, a photographer selling photos all day and a jewelry salesman dressed up like Jack sparrow. As a private tour, we were surprised with the addition of these people joining us on the boat all day. Overall, the host was great. The views were spectacular and it was a beautiful day in paradise.

We highly recommend Tony as a tour guide from Sol Cana Tours. We made reservations with him before we left the states and he was with us throughout our entire vacation process. With providing transportation and setting us up for excursions.

Staff was great, very friendly. Pleasant boat ride. The food on the island was the best we had all wk. We booked a private boat which allowed us more hrs to spend on the island. It was 45 min from Catolina Resort area to dock and then another 45 mins to the island. My only complaint was that there were no snacks on the boat and they only had rum with coke. No selection. No other drinks available .

It was Wonderful!!! Everything was fine. Very well organised and very friendly guides. You stay away from the crowd at saona or the Natural pools. You can individualise your Trip and stay how long you like at the different places. The boat was in Good shape. We asked for a birthday Arrangement and they did Great. We got a cake and a bottle of champagne for no extra charge. There was enough to drink for all of us.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited, crystal clear waters and white sand beaches. The crew on the trip were also very friendly, and ensured we had a good time.

This private excursion to Saona Island exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, professional and fun! I had a party of 29 people and having an entire catamaran for ourselves was ideal! We danced and drank the entire time to and from the island. This also included a private bus ride and lunch as well. The island was beautiful! We stopped at a lagoon first, then stopped to have lunch, lastly, stopped at a beach, which all are part of the island. I spent 6 days in Punta Cana, and this was my favorite part of my trip. I 100% recommend Sol Cana Tours. You won’t regret using them!

We had an amazing time. They were very accommodating on a one day notice. Our driver, Ambioris arrived on time and made sure we had a blast on the way over to Bayahibe from Punta Cana. We took a mother/daughter Spring Break trip to the Dominican. Tony with Sol Cana Tours was simply amazing to work with. From private transfers to and from the airport at the last minute to arranging a private boat for us to Saona Island, he made our trip so enjoyable!! As a group of women and young ladies, it was important for us to feel safe and comfortable and Tony and his staff did just that!

We had the best TIME OF OUR LIVES! We were a group OF 28 visiting for a wedding. RAY made sure that we all stayed together and that we had what we needed at all time. He was very informative and made us feel very comfortable. They hooked us up with our owm private boat to and from. RAY was an amazing tour guide as well as the crew, very professional.I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HANDS DOWN!!!
