Private Combo Horseback Riding And Atvs/buggy In Macao Beach/cave

We booked through the website and this was by far the worst experience ever. To start the person messaged us to dad we would have to pay an extra $70 since it’s 7 when the booking was for 7 people then he asked us to request a refund and pay in cash that day. They were 20 minutes late for pick up and then they did not provide lockers, they did not provide helmets or swim jackets for the Cenote since we had non swimmers they were charging an additional fee for a life jacket. I messaged the person who I booked with he was very unprofessional and accused me of lying about doing previous excursions with helmets and leg for jackets and said it wasn’t needed. Do not book this excursion with this company

These people like to cancel bookings. Their excuse is they don't have enough people for the excursion. Then they offer to book you for a different time when you agree for a different time they cancel again. They keep canceling until you cancel on them and ask for a refund. I submitted a claim through my bank and now my bank doesn't want to refund my money because of the cancellation policy. They were Cancelling on me!! I was not in Punta Cana for two weeks or a month, I was there for a few days and had other plans booked. These people are the worse! don't book any excursions with them.

If you are looking for an economical ATV, I would go with this company. There was a lot of organized chaos, but it was a safe and an overall good experience. Transportation is very disappointing so be patient if you book this one.

Very poor experience ..... owner is trying to get as much money from you as possible, beware ....ATVs are in bad shape, buggies were breaking down on our tour and we got a bad flat. We booked buggies but they switched us to ATVs because of the flat tire. No commentary or information other than trying to push his products which are higher priced than everywhere else...bad bad time and everyone on the trip was saying how bad it was!

This was without a doubt the worst excursion we have ever taken on a vacation; please understand I am not saying this lightly but am writing this review with the hopes that someone will read it and not make the same mistake I did. I saw multiple 5 star reviews and thought this was going to be a great excursion. We booked an 0830am ride. The night before, they told us we needed to switch to 1100. Fine, whatever. At 1045hr they call again to say they can't arrive until 1135hr and directed us to wait at the main entrance to the resort, instead of the lobby which they had told us previously. Still, we were trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and be as flexible as possible. We arrive at a small shack on the side of the road. It was fully of dilapidated buggies and ATVs. There is no "cigar factory" or "cocao plantation" - Sami (I'm assuming this is the scammer/owner) just showed us what a cocoa and what a coffee plant looked like and then invited us to purchased overpriced goods from his store front. There were samples so we were able to do a small tasting. There is no safety discussion. There is no review or discussion or road safety or the rules we need to follow. No seatbelts. No helmets. Vehicles were in severe disrepair - broken axels welded back together, multiple flat tires, dead engines. We played some bizarre game of musical ATVs/buggies where we switched vehicles an incredible number of *four* times throughout our trip, because they kept trying to rearrange who was using what vehicle. We actually left a vehicle on the side of the road because it broke down. Let me tell you, it is absolutely mortifying passing by groups of nicely maintained vehicles, when ours have holes in the ground and should have been taken off the roads years ago. I booked via Viatour - it said that a free bandana was included. When we arrived Sami told us the bandanas were 10 dollars USD each. He challenged me to find where on the website it said the bandana was free, when I located it for him, he got quite irritated and told me loudly that he believed me and I didn't need to prove it. He was clearly mad that I called his bluff, and i became incredibly uncomfortable. The final nail in the coffin was Sami telling us that he knew we would still give him a "blessing" at the end of the trip, referencing a tip. We were absolutely gobsmacked by his attitude and unprofessional demeanor. Everybody on the trip was fuming. Sami made absolutely no attempt at apology or explanation for the state of his business. It was like something out of a nightmare. We did not receive a return driver and had to hitch a ride back with another tour company. This is a bait and switch. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere in the Dominican please. There are plenty of excellent businesses that deserve our praise and patronage. This is absolutely not one of them.

the price is NOT the most important thing, whether it is cheap or expensive, that the real thing is and the good thing is the service and the service of Sammy All is the best in Punta Cana

AWESOME place for a boogie ride! Sami (look for him) guided us through the whole ride, and the tour all together was very good! I highly recommend this place, there are several places, but this was pretty good! Thank you!

The best experience. This was our first girls trip and this experience was one for the books. The entire staff were very knowledgeable of the equipment and very professional . We will be back sooner than later. Highly recommend booking with these guys.

We had a great time on the tour with Sammy. The photographer did a great job with the picture. Went off-road, by the beach and the natural water cave. Will be back next time we visit Dominican Republic.

Sammy was a phenomenal instructor!! Energy was great and made sure we safe and enjoyed ourselves!! I recommend taking the course with him!!

Sammy was amazing and treated us like VIP’s. We felt safe and had so much fun on the ATV’s. He was funny and has a great personality. We enjoyed the cave and the beach where we had some delicious lunch from his recommended vendor. 10/10, would definitely go again and recommend Sammy to anyone!

We had the best time yesterday! It started off a little weird with the company reaching out in the morning telling me they had to change the time which upset me but after I told them we had additional plans and needed to go at the time we booked, they made it work. We were picked up about 10 minutes late but all was forgiven because it was the coolest safari bus the arrived! Once we arrived at the location we did have to wait maybe 30 minutes for others to arrive. The guys who worked there were telling us about how things would work so it wasn’t so bad. When everyone arrived we got on the atvs (others did dune buggies) and we headed out. The first place we stopped was a house where they made chocolate, coffee and Mamajuana where we got a sample of each. Bring cash because you can buy what is being sold as well as other souvenir type items. Everyone was friendly! Then we went to the beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful and our photographer took some amazing pictures of us! I wish the time was longer but I knew based on other reviews it was about 20 min. There is an opportunity to buy beer or other drinks as well as excursions (which we didn’t do) so bring cash. Lastly we went to the cave. The cave was cool abs jumping in the cool water was fun! Only part I didn’t like was the vendors harassing you here. We were not badgered at other locations like we were here and it was uncomfortable and felt slightly dangerous. I would have appreciated if once we said no that was that. They kept trying to get in between my spouse and I which I didn’t like. After we left the cave we rode back. It was very nice! We got to see animals on the tour which I enjoyed (wish we could have stopped for pics of the country side). Although we did see people on the side of the road we were not harassed nor did we feel obligated to give money or anything. They mostly just waves and said hola as we passed. What I loved was the tour was a decent length. I have paid more for less in other places. Other reviews set expectations about time at each location, etc. So I wasn’t upset about timing. I actually thought we stayed at the beach longer than others said. My expectations were met and exceeded. We didn’t get as muddy on the ATVs as those did in the buggies. So I would recommend those for maximum mud. I had a good time. The team that went with us nice. Since I was disappointed I couldn’t buy as much as I wanted I will just say bring cash! There is stuff to buy at every stop as well as a stop for water/beer/bathroom. I wanted to get more than things I was able to as I didn’t realize how much I could buy. Other than that based on other reviews my expectations were met and exceeded. We had a great time and felt we got more than expected for the money we spent! Thank you for a great excursion and pictures (please note there is an option to buy the pictures when you are done and these could be purchased via cashapp)! We truly appreciate the day and experience!!

It was wonderful, exiting and we had a blast! Sammy was very attentive with all details and the trip was fun and adventurous; even though it’s a tough ride our family felt safe. We laughed, we went to Macao Cave and Macao beach and enjoy the view. I’m waiting to get back to DR and do this again.

The beach, and the cave were very cool. The driving part, which is the main part, was pretty lame and frustrating. Our guide drove slowly in front of us the whole time and I think we average about 7 miles per hour for the entire 2 hour trip. We tried to drive slower, thus creating some space between us and buggy in front of us, so we could lay the throttle and really drive the machine for a 15-20 yards before catching up to our slow tour guide. The other guides would not allow us drive slower. The guides literally tell you to speed up to the next vehicle so you're traveling about 1 second behind the buggy in front of you. It's like driving in traffic. Even when large puddles were in front of us, the guides slowly drove through them, thus creating more traffic for our group and not allowing us to really splash hard in the puddles. I'm no Nascar driver, but I wanted to at least feel some excitement while driving these buggies. I would recommend finding another company that gives the drivers a little more freedom and space while behind the wheel.

Recommended for any excursion you need. Sammy loves his job and is a great connoisseur. Besides, he is a very humble and very good-hearted person. If you want to tour the island of Dominican Republic, do not hesitate to contact Sammy, he is your guy.

Sammy is an excellent guide! He helped us at all times, taught us about the place and told us things about the city. Very attentive to everything we needed and the tour in buggies EXCELLENT and very fun!! 100% recommended!
