The meet up at the sirport didn't start off smooth as I couldn't find the driver. The vehicle was parked outside of the designated pick up area and we had to walk a short distance in the heat, through a construction zone, with our luggage, thank God for wheels.This is why my rating isnt higher. The ride to the resort was pleasant and the driver was professional and attentive, he understood who his passengers were and customized our ride accordingly. His english was limited but he made the best of the situation, kudos to him. The return ride was just as smooth and was comical as well. We quickly connected with the driver and ejoyed the return trip. Setting up the return was smooth and this company's customer service makes it highly recommended. When I return I'm going to make sure to book them again.

We had an amazing trip to the airport with Alexander this morning - luxury car, great music and a very relaxing environment. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Let me start by saying that this was our 2nd trip to Punta Cana but I am definitely not an experienced international traveler. The transfer was included in the package that we booked with the resort (shoutout to Excellence El Carmen) on our first trip. That was a really nice perk and I learned that I most definitely do not want to ever be responsible for driving a car in the Dominican Republic. It's literally a different world down there! Trust me, you want a local who knows how to handle the roads behind the wheel. We stayed at a different resort this time so I was on my own to figure out how to get from the airport to the resort. It's roughly a 45 minute trip to Uvero Alto so I didn't want to take any chances. I found a car service that was recommended by someone on Reddit and it looked good. I tried to reach out to them through all of the various contact methods that they had listed on their website. No response whatsoever. A few days later, I found Premium Transfers Punta Cana on TripAdvisor and most of the reviews were very good. It looked very similar to the car service that Excellence provided so I went for it. Here is my experience: 1) Their prices are on the lower end of the range that I found during my research. Their cost for a luxury SUV was less than a private van at some of the other places. 2) Their website was extremely easy to navigate and complete the booking. I immediately received an automated e-mail confirmation just like you would get from any normal on-line purchase. 3) I booked our transfer late in the evening. Surprisingly, I received a separate confirmation e-mail from one of their employees about 30 minutes later. 4) When I turned on my phone after we landed, I had a text message and a WhatsApp message from one of their employees with a picture of the sign with my name on it that I should be looking for outside the airport. 5) The driver who took us to the resort was super polite and offered us beer and water, even though we didn't book any extras. 6) The driver who picked us up to take us from the resort to the airport at the end of our trip was 15 minutes early! He didn't speak much English (and we don't speak much Spanish) but he was fun and that translates in any language. 7) We were not in a rush because we had left plenty of time before our flight, but if you need to get to the airport as quickly as possible, these guys will make it happen. 8) The vehicles were clean and comfortable on both legs of the trip. And in the madness of Punta Cana traffic, with little sedans and overloaded scooters constantly zipping in and out of traffic, we still felt safe because we were in a much larger SUV. The one and only little recommendation that I have to make the experience better would be if they provided some more clear instructions on exactly how to find them when you get outside of the airport. It's extremely chaotic after you pick up your bags so we needed one of the porters to show us where to go. If you're like I was and nervous about finding a reliable car service in Punta Cana, I hope this review will make you feel better and your trip easier. Premium Transfers Punta Cana truly delivers 5-star service. We are already looking forward to our next trip and I will definitely be using Premium Transfers Punta Cana again.
