Fishing Adventure Punta Cana – Full Experience Professional

Fantastic trip with local fishermen guides. We were collected spot on time (7am) and we set off from the shore about 8:30. It was a half hour ride to the fishing port. Take your own snacks as food isn’t included but drinks are. We caught 4 barracuda and 3 mahi mahi. It was full on, fast action and I would recommend to anyone who wants a rustic and organic trip. There is a bar on the beach that was open when we landed, they cooked our fish for us but we didn’t bring any home. There was a Spanish guy on the trip who was staying with friends, they filleted his fish and he took that home

Do not believe the tour description, we took tour on June 24, the day started boarding an old dilapidated boat, the tour guides said nothing, no greeting, no overview, no safety talk, I had to ask for life jackets and they thought I was crazy. The weather was bad the swells were huge, we had to hang on for dear life and all passengers requested to return early on and they refused all 5 of us. you do not fish, they troll lines out the boat, no food or drinks, boat is small and water is so rough we remained seated for 4 hours. The other family on board begged to go back as they vomited off the boat for hours. Bottom line no safety precautions taken, passengers not listened to , conditions out at sea were dreadful, this is not a fishing tour, no rods in hands, just trolling through huge swells. We emailed prior to trip requesting what to expect and bring and were sent the below response “ You traveling with 6 other people for food. When he's sailing far out, he can't eat too much so he doesn't get seasick and might vomit. You can bring chocolate. If he wants soda, we have water, beer, and rum on the boat, but he can't drink too much so he doesn't get seasick. I hope you understand”. The few review here tell me this is not a legitimate operation. Requested refund and outlined need for safety review but Trip advisor/viator they responded 30 minutes later advising a thorough review conducted no refund? In 30 minutes a thorough review? Do better trip advisor/ viator. Promoting unsafe and misleading tours is unethical. I guess it will take a terrible accident for them to open their eyes.

I had such a good time! Danny was great he helped us get our fish wrapped to take back to our resort. As well as help with transportation. The other gentleman that was a guide was super nice and talkative. He helped/ talked me through when I was reeling my fish. I will say take nausea medicine if you drink the night before. I like roller coasters , sky diving ect but this did make my stomach feel queezy…but that’s the name of the game. I’d do it all over again stomach ache or not! 10/10!!!

It was very fun and we caught 6 fish. Just remember if the fish don’t feel like biting you won’t catch very many but definitely worth the experience and the staff was very friendly and tried their best to get them biting

We booked a fishing excursion for a 9am slot the next morning. Late the night before they said they had to move us to 12. We rearranged our day and were in the lobby at 11:45 ready. No one came. We called at 12:15 to check in and he said there was traffic. 12:45 called again with our resorts help with the language barrier. He was more than an hour away cause he went to the wrong hotel. We wrote the tour company to try and reschedule and they did not respond. Second email we got zero personal response and just a refund message. Very disappointing as my one request from my spouse was to go fishing on this trip.

Do not book, stay away from this excursion and company. Booked for a two-person 4 hour fishing excursion for Friday June 5th at 1pm. The company messaged me a few days prior to say they changed the time to 10am on Friday. We cancelled our previous morning plans so we could go on our $300 fishing excursion. We got ready Friday morning, and sat in the hotel lobby for three hours waiting for our pick up. They said they were running late. Then messaged that they were stuck in traffic. An hour later they messaged and cancelled for the day. We wasted the morning and early afternoon that day waiting in our hotel lobby for hours. They messaged later and said they could reschedule for the following day, at noon. I confirmed this twice via text. We canceled a previous-scheduled Friday excursion so we could go on our fishing excursion. Since it was within 24 hours of cancelling the previous excursion, we weren't eligible for a refund for that excursion. After waiting in the hotel lobby again on Friday morning to get picked up for the fishing excursion, I decided to call them. They said it was again cancelled for today. So, horrible customer service. Horrible communication. And we cancelled two other excursions for the fishing excursion (one without a refund), for a fishing excursion that was cancelled numerous times. Please, do not book from this company or any other fishing excursion that appears to be similar to this company.

The whole crew was absolutely AMAZING!!! They make sure you are taken care of. They provided drinks and a snack, and also went out of their way to make sure one of the people on our tour was taken care of when she got sea sickness and continuously made sure everyone else was feeling ok.

I thought this would be a more thrilling experience but this excursion fell flat for my boyfriend & I. My boyfriend is a fishing enthusiast and I booked this for his birthday thinking he would be actively fishing but this was not the case. There were about 8 people on our boat and 4-5 fishing poles set to automatically catch fish. Most of the time was spent chatting with the passengers while sitting and waiting. The boat takes you about 8 miles off the coast and sails in circles until something is caught. I understand the catch depends on the ocean conditions and sadly only one 1 Barracuda was caught. I also strongly advise anyone who gets seasick to book this at your own risk!!! I took medications and all the precautions I possibly could but nothing worked. They will not turn the boat back unless everyone on your excursion agrees to go back to the coast, which is fair. Unfortunately, this meant I was nauseous & vomiting for almost 4 hours. I am thankful to the crew member who provided a bucket & advised me to lay down because I finally fell asleep for the last hour of it. Also, there is no running water on the boat and the toilet does not flush very well. Despite all of this, I will say I am thankful to our captain, crew, and Phaelo for the clear communication and safe trip!

The fishing tour was fun. Our son really enjoyed the fishing experience. He was really excited to catch his first mahi mahi. We brought the fish to a local simple shop to have it fillet and cooked, delicious.

Water is way rough 6-8 foot waves. We were told this is average for fishing here. Most people cannot handle those types of conditions. Half of our crew got sea sick and we took Dramamine ahead of time. Captain and Louie were great, but if you can’t handle water like that, it’s not a good excursion for you and Your family.

We had a blast on the fishing charter. The team did a great job keeping energy high and made it fun. We had a great time with the first mate, Eli! Pick up and drop off was seamless.

Get your muscles ready BEFORE YOU GO!! THESE GUYS OWN THE FISH!!! Wore both of us out in 3 hrs. I cant imagine a whole day!! Great guys great drinks and super friendly. They have the boat and the gear . Felt safe the whole time. Captain was a rockstar!! Highly recommend and will return. Next time my arms will be ready guys sorry for saying " NO MORE FISH"

What a beautiful day!!! Lioue, Rachel and Phalo were so wonderful, attentave and knowledgeable! We caught a Barracuda fish. They cleaned it and we took it back to the resort and had it prepared for lunch I would highly suggest this excursion BUT if your not used to being on the water be prepared the waters can be aggressive 😉

The crew was nice and did their best to keep us entertained on a very slow day. Unfortunately the fish weren’t biting. Only 1 person from our group got to land a fish. You pay to go fishing of course, but the idea is to actually catch something.

We reserved an 8am fishing charter. Two days prior the tour operator emailed us that they would pick us up at 12:10 because the morning was “full.” Fortunately we were flexible. The pick up from the hotel was smooth. No conversation or information was provided by the driver, the tour receptionist, nor the fishermen. The “fishing trip” was four hours of trying not to get sea sick during horribly boring voyage in the ocean. The lines behind the boat caught only a small barracuda during the whole duration. Drinks offered were Presidente beer but everyone was too nauseous to partake. No mixed drinks and only soda provided in Dixie cups. There was bottled water. We didn’t even get conversation or education on fishing from the guide. My son, the one most interested in fishing, was so bored. All in all, I would never book anything like this again.

Perfect trip for families and friends. The crew made us feel safe and comfortable, and they helped us all the time. We had so much fun and caught a lot of fish. Totally worth it!

So this tour states that they will teach you and help you fish. Also snacks or nachos included. Our day began with extremely rough water. We were tendered via a rickety wood boat to the fishing boat which is not the one in the advertisement. With seas at 10-12’- it was terrifying to get on to boat from a dingy that was shifting 4’ up and down. All the way out and back the smell of diesel was so overwhelming, 2 of the passenger vomited for three hours. The swells were huge at 10’-12’. They also advertise you can sun bathe. There was no place other than cabin or back of boat to sit. Only one plastic crate with a cushion thrown over. Other wise you stood for 4 hours. We did end up catching 5 mahi. One of which was a bout 30 pounds. So the crew gathers us all together to take pics with the catch. Of course everyone smiles. When we disembark in the same crazy and dangerous way, they inform us that we can’t have our fish because they are going to sell it! Please see screen shot of our conversation and the rudeness of the operator when I tried to obtain a refund. He shows a happy pic and continues to berate me instead of apology. He states if we wanted fish we should have notified him ahead of time. No where in details does it state this. I have requested a full refund. His attitude about the issues that I nicely wrote to him about shows his true character as a business man only for the money. Never have we been refused our catch on any other fishing charter. Do not use this operation!

Everything was very well organized from start to finish. Hotel pickup was on time, the equipment was top quality, and the crew knew exactly what they were doing. A very safe and exciting fishing adventure.

Even if you’re not an experienced fisherman, this tour is perfect. The staff explains everything clearly and makes sure everyone enjoys the experience. We had a lot of fun, good music, drinks, and unforgettable moments at sea.

It is not a private trip. You share it with others. For us, it was 5 other people. There was no way that everyone will get a chance to fish. I went with another group fishing and it was just my group that paid for trip. I assumed this would be the same since price was same. I went back to check listing and it is on me for assuming. It doesn’t say either way so technically they didn’t advertise that it wasn’t a private excursion. I will check in the future and would not have gone with this charter as a result. No one spoke any English. That included the guy that picked us up. They were very aggressive with asking for tips when they didn’t give us a top notch trip. They 7 total on this boat and we only caught 2 fish. I saw when they were busting the hooks that we had less than 10 bait fish in the bucket. So, I don’t think they were planning on a big day. They also were no snacks. They only had liter sized drinks and the waters were rough so when they poured the first drink into a small plastic cup we all realized that unless we want water or beer there will be no drinks either.

The guide and captain were great! They kept the bait fresh and provided fresh fruit and chips as snacks. They were great with the kids and did their best to catch some fish. We caught 4 barracuda and had a line on a marlin but it broke off. Something to note is you don’t sit and cast, you are moving the entire time unless you catch something. Not great for those who don’t do well with choppy waters.

Very well organized from pick up to drop-off. The staff made the trip safe and exciting. Totally recommend this tour to anyone

If you visit Punta Cana, this experience is mandatory. Everything was very well organized, the crew always attentive and the atmosphere very fun. We fished a lot and enjoyed every minute in the sea.

It was a fun-filled day from when we got on the boat until we got back. The crew was very friendly and maintained good energy throughout the tour. The captures were non-stop and the views were spectacular. We loved being able to be on the high seas, feeling the breeze and enjoying every moment.

The attention was first rate. You can see that they are very experienced and make the tour safe and fun. We had an amazing day at sea and would definitely repeat.
