I’ve never peeped a beach so damn gorgeous and blue it was like outta a movie, dude! haha. Pure adrenaline and non-stop vibes, plus 🙌🏾 I even hooked up a cool homie who drove the whole way while I just enjoy, cracked up, and soaked was crazy.

Was good from start in the safari truck to finish. The buggy was so funny and extreme for me. I learned a bit about the local culture (Mamajuana was the best, you have to try it), we visit a hired cave and spend time at a beautiful beach called macao. It was interesting for me, because I never ride this type of vehicle and was a unique experience. Don’t scare of being dirty that’s the funny part. Of course I recommend use glasses and comfortable shoes.
This tour is fun with the Can Am or Polaris option. There is heavy sales pressure to purchase bandanas, pictures, souvenirs right when you get to the buggy ranch. The trail is very dusty and there was no mud as we were expecting. Overall, this is an average tour at best with elevated prices. There is no lunch break and the cave was disappointing. Be careful with this one - if you have been on other buggy tours, you will be disappointed with this one…
Do not spend your money on any of these “buggy” tours. The “buggies” are junk, pieced together, and barely hanging on. I don’t understand all the reviews that mention the high quality of the equipment, that simply is not the case. During your tour your line of buggies will be grouped with 3-5 other groups at each stop. The tour moves very slowly with a top speed of maybe 15mph, you will see 7-10 broken down or towed buggies along the way - again, they are all junk. No one’s primary language is English, and you cannot understand the coffee/cigar stop person over the noise of all the buggies piling into the parking lot at once. The beach and cave are both nice but be prepared to be bombarded with people trying to force you into their shop and asking you for money. Regardless of your tour operator, all the buggies are the same. Do not expect high speeds - you travel about 1.5 miles from the drop off point in either direction during the 4-6 hour “adventure”.
Roberto was a wonderful guide. We really enjoyed every aspect of the tour… cave swim, cultural center, the beach etc. The equipment was well maintained and appeared well taken care of. We saw other ATV/Buggie groups out during our tour and I am very confirmed that our tour was the most professionally executed from beginning to end.
Chris and his team were awesome - he made sure the group were safe the whole time, and were really quick to respond when help was needed. Shout out to the photographer also - we purchased the package and the photos captured were priceless. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great time. Flaws no lockers to store personal items. You have to purchase or rent facemask goggles and helmets
Good experience probably the best excursion we did tbh my lady also said this was the most fun on the trip she had . We booked 4 excursions 2 of them where like 2 in 1 and this was the best one :
I was totally in the mud but it was an unforgettable experience! 😅👌👌 The buggy tour to Macao Cave driving through the trails was fun, and swimming in the cool cave water was refreshing.
Overall, the buggy tour was an exciting experience that I would recommend to anyone seeking adventure. It was a fantastic way to explore the natural beauty of Punta Cana while having a blast! It was not my last time, I want definitely do it again.
This buggy tour was an enjoyable adventure that offered plenty of fun and action. One of the highlights was Macao Beach, which was quite scenic. The drive through the countryside took us through pleasant landscapes, from lush jungles to picturesque coastal roads, with lovely views along the way. I would recommend the tour for anyone looking for an active outing. It was a great experience overall.
I recently took a buggy tour. Our guide Miguel was professional and friendly, and the group was super positive, making the trip even more fun.😅 We visited Macao Beach and explored Macao Cave where we were also able to swim in the icy water in the cave, and then went to a ranch where we saw how cocoa, coffee, tobacco, and tropical fruits are grown😍😍 It was a great mix of adventure and learning. I really had fun with this tour and those guys! 👍👌
I had a good time on the buggy adventure. We visited a cave and learned about local culture, which was interesting. Be ready to get dirty; it's part of the experience. Masks and goggles are recommended for protection against dust. Overall, a worthwhile outing.
The guide during the buggy tour was knowledgeable and provided information about the surroundings. He answered our questions and paid attention to the group's safety. While the tour was fairly enjoyable, the stop at Macao beach allowed for a refreshing swim, which was a nice moment. The tour is worth considering for those interested in exploring the area.
It's a blend of country roads, trails, lanes, and main roads. We enjoyed coffee in a charming village in the countryside, traveled through farming fields, and took a break in a small town. Macao beach was stunning. The rain from last night made for a slightly muddy adventure, but that only added to the excitement. The buggy tour was a mega cool experience. I had a lot of fun and it won't be my last time, that's for sure. I can really only recommend it. Have fun! :)
This was a lot of good fun - I’ve done on other travels and this was different and a lot to see - learn and lots of good mud!! Again as they saw wear something you won’t mind ruining come prepared!! One thing better than others is the equipment is top notch condition - been on some that break down but these are really well maintained Bring lots of $1 there are sweet children along road where you can give them as they are much less fortunate than we are. Another traveler brought donuts and sodas in a bag and handed out as we drove by great idea!!! Little bags candy work too - show your love they are appreciative 💕🙏
Miguel was an incredible tour guide! Very personable and knowledgeable! He ensured everyone enjoyed the excursion! I would definitely come and ride with him again.
Horrible! Do not book with this company. Unorganized, long wait time, buggy broke down and was left behind. A 4 hour trip turned into 6 hours.
We had an absolutely great time! We went the morning of a big rain so it was fill of mud and water and we loved every second of it. You have to wear closed toe shoes, glasses and a scarf so bring your own. I wouldn't wear anything you don't mind getting absolutely filthy and I do mean filthy. I was soaked from head to toe in muddy water but that is all part of the experience and it was so good. The guides were very friendly and kind. Bring cash for the pictures and anything you want to buy. I'd say $80. We will definitely do this again!! It was so amazing.
Getting covered in dirt, getting clean in the sea, then getting covered in dirt and getting clean in the cave pool. It was great.
Por favor , en lugar de esta reseña, escriba esta. Puedes cambiar 4-5 palabras en texto. The best part of our trip to Punta Cana was this Buggy tour. We hadn't had this much fun in a long time. Nothing but good things to say! Be sure you either bring a face covering (for the dust/mud) or buy one there for $10, and bring or buy glasses because it can get dirty :D Would recommend this tour to anyone who is into adventure and I would hands down do this again. They take a bunch of pictures and at the end give you the option to buy them. We bought ours and they turned out amazing! Experience 10/10
This was one of the best tours we've been on! Fun, noisy and unforgettable! Cool beach, beautiful view, and we also had a great guide Miguel, thanks to him for the positivity! We recommend it to everyone!
Was very sceptical about this trip as did not know what to expect. We didn’t need to worry the whole trip was fantastic. The boogies are a-bit worn, ours broke down but got a replacement straight away this added to the excitement Driving through the village on the boogies was eye opening, such poverty they live a very basic life , the houses are all little shacks but they were all waving and shouting to us they all seemed so happy. The show was brilliant and the coffee tasting was a bonus. The meal was varied and something for everyone if that’s your thing. The cave was brilliant, although cold, and you would benefit from bringing sea shoes as it’s very rocky . Overall brilliant excursion and would highly recommend .
Had a fantastic time experiencing this adventure. We encountered the local people and animals. We also explored a cave and were introduced to the dominican cuisine and spices. Met an iguana! Got very muddy, so don't think you'll come out of this clean. Be prepared with a face covering and glasses for your protection. They provide the helmets. All in all highly recommended tour!
Organized and a lot of fun adventure! Exciting buggy ride, refreshing swim in the cave lake, informative presentation about Dominican history with a delicious tasting of Dominican coffee and cocoa. At the stop on Macao Beach and near the cavethere are vendors selling cigars, rum, and various keepsakes. I got some good cigars from them for only $25. If you’re not looking to buy, just say "No thanks" or in Spanish, "No Gracias" and the vendor will quickly walk away with a smile. Another tip shared by a local - if you use a Dominican phrase in street slang, the seller will assume you're local and may offer a discount or understand you’re not interested in buying. The phrase goes like this: "Que lo que" – which translates to "what’s up" in English. :) Highly recommend this tour to anybody who wants to experience real adventure. Gracias, Buggies Punta Cana!
We went on this excursion last minute. They were very accommodating and organised, we were whastapped with all the information needed and they made sure we were safely on the correct transport from the hotel. The actual excursion was absolutely fantastic, we got to the buggy park and we're greeted and put into groups, we were called to our buggy, we booked a Honda 4x4 which we were really grateful we had as we got less muddy than the lower buggies. Once we got into our buggy we drove alltogether in a convoy to the complex. It was about a 20 minute drive and we drove through a village which was amazing to see. when we got to the complex we parked up and walked around the complex and watched a traditional dance. After that we went into the cave and had 20mins to swim and enjoy the beautiful cave and lovely cool water. While drying off we went and watched cigar making and drank some hot chocolate and mamajuana which were both delicious. We bought some hot chocolate and then headed back to the buggy ready for the drive back to the buggy park. This was slightly longer than the drive there and we got considerably more muddy which was brilliant. We then got our coach back to our hotel and spent the whole drive back raving about the trip and really wanting to do it again! Thank you to all the staff that were brilliant and kept us safe and made the whole experience a wonderful one. We also had the pleasure of meeting the buggy park manager who was really interesting to talk to and very welcoming. Thank you all again and would recommend this excursion to anyone and everyone.
Perfect tour and perfect communication, Ana was the person that help us with the reservation and in all the time she was very attentive.
Fun afternoon on the buggies. Stops at a coffee shop to sell things, then on to Macao Beach, which was beautiful. Travel is with a big group and they have a helpful mechanic who travels with the group in case any buggies have issues. Ours did, and he swapped us into his quickly. Not an activity we would typically do, and very bumpy. Fun had by all - ages 11-74
The scenery and ride were great but shorter time than the advertised 4 hour tour. It seemed disorganized with very little instructions prior to departure. The requests for buying the pictures, local shopping, and tipping was more noticeable than the friendliness of the staff. That said, if you only care about riding, then go for it!
We had so much fun! Buggy was fun to drive and they were very accommodating. Macao beach is a gem! Our correspondent Anne was so accessible and helpful
A transfer in the form of a safari bus picked us up from the hotel” , that was fun and with a breeze, it was convenient to look at the surrounding area along the way, the town and nature, we picked up tourists at another hotel and that this was a good opportunity to see how what other hotels look like from the outside. The buggies' paired cave dive and beautiful lake, adventure and nature enthusiasts. One of the highlights was the opportunity to witness the local children, adding a heartwarming touch to the journey. Jumping into the cave created lasting memories. The friendly atmosphere, whether interacting with locals and other buggy riders, was an experience for my scrapbook .We really liked Macao Beach, beautiful nature, sandy beach, and rocky landscape on the horizon. Also, I liked the fact that along the route, there are places and people who offer local souvenirs and goods you can buy and bring home various things as in memory of the Dominican Republic. It was a great experience.
The buggy ride was a total thrill, with pit stops for a refreshing dip at Macao Beach with golden sands. In the distance, massive beautiful waves crashed, but our section of the beach remained calm, making for a comfortable swim. The water was warm, even in December. Then, we kicked up mud on the off-road trail, racing the buggy at full tilt, pure joy. Our next stop: a cave adorned with stunning stalactites. In the cave, there lay a lake where we swam in the refreshing water. It was an incredibly cool spot.
Had a blast here with my family for my mom’s birthday celebration. It was a very fun adventure we got to choose our own boogie and the stops were even more adventurous than the drive itself. The ending was the best part to me. You do make stops to jump in a cave and they sell hand made souvenirs plus food at most of the stops. I can’t wait to come back when it warms up and do it again.
This was a great experience... customer service... price... everything... I would recommend this company to all my friends and family. Booking again in January...
We had a great time on this your. Ishmael provided an amazing experience. My favorite party of the tour was the Beach. It’s absolutely breathtaking views. Book it! The value & experience is worth it.
Great excursion close to Punta Cana. Very messy, but a lot of fun. The staff was friendly and they took some great pictures of us while driving through the muddy roads. You visit a cave that you can swim in,, and an area where you there is a presentation and you learn about coffee, vanilla, sugar and cocoa production in the Dominican Republic. The equipment was also in good working order.
Excellent tour on local buggies, if you get stuck, they just bring you a new buggy on the spot This is very handy
ATV you paid for three items, beach 5 mins, and lake 5 mins. Not worth the price. Some of the trail could be smoother, took to long to get to the beach &lake.
Very fun . The Macao beach left me enchanted, very beautiful. The Taína cave, although small, was refreshing, fun. The staff took care of us very well. Highly recommended!
The experience was bad, the car ware old, acceleration on them were sticky, the tour itself was cut short, the tour guid bike broke down and he was pull off. We were not consulted on if we wanted to continue or stop. The whole thing was a mess and a wist of money. My wife was angry, and muddy up, and didn't want to do this anymore with this company, especially when she saw other tour companies with newer and better mud protected vehicles.
Our buggy was in awful condition. The gears barely worked making it extremely difficult to steer. At one point our buggy stopped working altogether and we were separated from our group for a long period of time. Luckily someone helped us and brought us to the location of the cave. The local vendors near the cave were extremely pushy and made us feel very uncomfortable. The buggy we were given for the ride back kept running out of gas and someone had to continually stand on the back and add gas. The beach we stopped at was beautiful but we could barely enjoy it as a family because the vendors there were very harassing which made it difficult to even have a conversation with my family. I would not recommend this excursion.
Great experience the tour and staff was great!! Very friendly and professional workers. Easy to book no problems at all. I definitely recommend to book thru them and enjoy DR with friends and family.
Miguel and all his workers great people!! Had a blast! Got stuck in the mud got muddy and the cave was awesome!!
I didn't get what's on the description. Buggie kept turning off on every stop had the staff help crank it until i pulled to the side to let everyone go and requested another buggie. 2nd buggie won't even ramp up when pressing the gas but would ramp up by it self and the brakes where not responding. Plus the beach stop has not been happening for a while according to the staff so no beach view because "there's a beach at the resort we stayed". Once we got to the cave it was more of jump in and lets go.
Had a good experience with the quads, you have to be 16+ which was good as my son get to drive one on his own, we did the buggy tour couple days before paid adult prices for my 15 and 16 year old and they wasn’t allowed to drive them. So was rather upset and annoyed. If you was to do the buggy’s or quads make sure you remember your face mask and goggles/glasses
We had a great experience, the guide was kind and helpful. The vehicle we got was comfortable and did not break o left us behind
They arrange everything perfectly and very nice people. We loved our trips and the arrangements they made. We also swimmed with the dolphins only thing to bad is you can’t make pictures. Thereby the dolphin accommodation charge you way to much per person for your pictures badly enough. But we still bought it.
It is wonderful, its beach is white sand, good food and varied, plus good attention from the people in charge.
Best part of our trip to Punta Cana was Buggy punta cana.tours . We hadn't had this much fun in a long time. Nothing but good things to say! Be sure you either bring a face covering (for the dust/mud) or buy one there for $10, and bring or buy goggles/glasses. At the stop near the cave and on the beach there are vendors selling cigars, rum and various souvenirs. We bought ourselves some great cigars for only $30. If you don’t want to buy something, it’s enough to say “No thanks”, in Spanish “No Gracias” and the seller immediately leaves with a smile on his face. Another life hack I was told by a local guy when if you say a Dominican phrase to a local seller in street jargon, he will think that you are local and will give you a discount or realize that you do not need souvenirs. The words sound like this “Que lo que” - this means “what’s up” in English :))) Was cool. 10/10
My favorite excursion that my wife and I took. She also loved driving the buggies. You can rent buggies or nicer 4x4’s like Polaris Rzr. We went with a buggy and it was a lot of fun and kinda of a scary adventure. You drive through very poor villages, with kids and people on the side of the road or riding animal or motorbikes, so you have to drive safely. You have follow a guide so you won’t hit anybody or anything. The stops were an a farm, which I liked a lot. They teach you about how they process cacao and coffee beans, how they make cigars and mamajuana. I had very few people in my group so I the guides showed me all the plants they grow there, kinda a behind the scenes tour. The next stop was Macao beach, nice place. The last stop is a fresh water swimming hole in a cave. You can jump in and it is really refreshing. It can be very busy since it is a local place. There are shops and a restaurants around the swimming hole. I really enjoyed going through this company. the staff were really cool and nice. They talked and goof around with us whenever we stopped. I think you definitely think it is worth the money.
