Confirming the trip with the office to determine the pick up time at our hotel was an issue as they stated they could not find my reservation though I had emails and texts from them confirming the actual reservation. However, once that had been resolved it was a great time. Very professional at the off road buggy location but could have been a bit more organized with gathering all the tour guests. Loved the reserve experience and could have swam more in the park-great experience. The catamaran was a lot of fun and my husband and I were amused that we anchored off the shore of the Westin-where we were staying. However, the crew made the swimming and experience so much fun it was worth it. The lunch served was top notch and we finished the day happy that we booked this tour.

David on the Catamaran was so much fun and knowledgeable. The rum drinks kept coming and the sail ride was smooth. Once we got to the natural pool it was like put of a movie - a real stingray swam past us. Francis at the lagoon was such a patient guide. He literally saved the day when someone from our group lost her balance and went under- he dove in no hesitation and saved her. The excursion was just all in all amazing. Please go.
What a superb day, from the moment we were picked up from our hotel at 07:45 we were looked after faultlessly. So, a 45 minute drive took us to our location and we got the first sight of our buggies for the first stage of our trip, these look like glorified golf carts but they're much more than that... ok, not the fastest vehicle in the world but more than adequate for the trails we were taking on and good fun.... A 30 minute fun filled drive through some very dusty trails (either take your own bandannas or take advantage of those on sale for $5) brings you to an area where you park up your buggy and take a walk along a trail to a hidden lagoon, the beauty of this is beyond description and the water is so clear its almost beyond belief. Mrs Davies and I took full advantage of this area and spent all the available time here in the water cooling off and washing off the dust from the drive. After our time in the pool we got back to the buggies and made our way back to the base to view photographs taken during our morning. A word of caution here, the photographs you're shown back at base aren't the only ones you'll get on your $40 disc, you get some random photographs of the Dominican Republic (very nice) and some typical Dominican music (also very nice) but you'll also get all the others on your tour on there as well. So, on with the day...... After this we were picked up on a coach and taken to Playa Blanca where we were seated at a table on the beach and served with some very tasty food... Three types of salad to start, green salad, lobster caprese and a pasta dish.... Mrs Davies and I made the mistake of thinking this was the only course so had generous helpings of this. Drinks available here? Rum & Coke, Rum & Sprite, Rum, plain sprite, plain coke or beer.... these were topped up non stop just to make sure you didn't dehydrate :-) Having filled up with this we were then horrified to spot the main course coming out, a chicken dish, a seafood pasta and boiled rice, how could we refuse? This course suitably demolished we looked on in pain as desert was served, chocolate cake and tiramisu.... How much more could we take? The 45 minute break after food while we waited for the catamaran was more than welcome, we paddled in the warm Caribbean sea and completely ignored the seaweed washing around our ankles. When the time came to board the catamaran we waded out in the shallow water (through the seaweed again) and climbed aboard via ladders at the rear. We sailed out into the Caribbean and the rum started to flow and kept flowing. The sandbank in the middle of the sea came as a complete surprise, to be walking in clear waist deep water that far out to sea was a superb experience not to be missed. Did I mention the rum that kept flowing? All in all, a tremendous day out, if you only do one excursion on your trip to the Dominican Republic make it this one.
Another must do in Punta Cana! An air conditioned bus picked us up at our hotel and drove us about 30 minutes to a resort where our first stop was the off-road buggies and lagoon. Down side, looooong walk to/from the lagoon to where you park the buggies. Plus side, the lagoon. It was AMAZING. Crystal clear, cool water. Definitely needed after the off-roading driving and long walk. Next, you get on another air conditioned bus that takes you to the marina where you get on a catamaran. SO MUCH FUN. I will warn you though, when being dropped off at Playa Blanca for lunch, you have to walk through the water (and LOTS of stinky seaweed) to get to the beach. However, the lunch was amazing! After we ate we got to spend about 30 minutes on the beach before boarding the catamaran and heading to the sandbar to swim. The water felt amazing and was crystal clear! We only got to swim about 20 minutes or so, which wasn't near long enough. Oh, and did I mention the continuous flow of Rum, Soda and Water?! This excursion did not disappoint and was definitely worth the month.

So much fun! good lunch would book again.....plan on getting dirty :

This excursion is awesome! Tour guides were very nice and are more than willing to take pictures for you on your phone. Natural pool is really neat and is a fun ride on the side by side. Great experience, definitely recommend

A lot of fun! The buggy ride was entertaining and the Catamaran ride was absolutely fantastic!! Definitely recommend the Catamaran ride.

I wish there was mud on the buggies but the lagoon was amazing. Daniel was so helpful and fun! Definitely do the beach lunch and sunset cruise. It was like we were VIP members on the beach and the cruise. They fill your cups before you can even drink them! So fun!

There was a lot of hurry up and wait times. We were picked up around 7am for a tour that started at 9 and the other groups arrived after us and went on their tour before us. The off road buggys are fun, blue lagoon was absolutely beautiful and a very nice place to cool off and swim and great photos! The catamaran ride and lunch was phenomenal! If I was to do it al over again I would probably just book the catamaran and lunch by itself. Staff for the catamaran were very nice and made sure everyone had a great time!

One of our many amazing adventures while in Punta Cana. The tour guides were wonderful. Scooby Doo and Coca Cola, our tour guides, spoke English well, were very knowledgeable and made it their goal that we enjoyed our time on the excursion. The dune buggy ride was a little dull as there were no mud holes to splash in. Although with my driver, maybe that was a good thing! A bit dusty and exhaust fumes were not pleasant, helps to wear a bandanna for sure. Scooby Doo offered to take pictures with my phone both before we embarked on our dune buggy ride and while we swam in the fresh water Cenote. It was nice to have that option rather than be offered to buy them at the end of the excursion like other excursions offered. We tipped him after, well of course!!

Lunch was amazing at Playa Blanca and the beach there was calm and very enjoyable. Very picturesque at Play Blanca. Our catamaran ride and swim at the natural swim hole was awesome. Would definitely recommend this one!!

Great tour, we had a blast! Only thing I'd change is having them give more space between the buggys. We got stuck behind a slow person and would have been more fun if we could have gone faster.

First of all they were 3 hours late picking us up at our resort. They told us 7:30 and didn't come until 10:30. When my husband tried to call them they only spoke spanish so we had to get the concierge to call for us. The only other thing I did not like was the helmets we had to wear were old and not very clean. It was a little concerning wearing a helmet that several other people had also worn.
Other then that, the trip was nice.

Had lots of fun. Cannot give 5 stars because buggies kept breaking down not ours thankfully. They did attend to it as fast as they could. Personally, loved the river pool that we went to. The water was refreshing, but not crazy cold. Daniel was great about taking our pictures which we bought at the end of the tour. The lunch on the beach was plentiful and a nice setting. My wife's favorite part was the Catamaran party. We even got to see a manta ray in the water. It was a nice group, plenty of rum and coke and a good crew on the Catamaran. About two feet of water, a good quarter of a mile away from the shore. This tour was more than worth the price.

I highly recommend this tour!! It was seriously such a blast! I dont know if the tours are assigned to different companies but we had Side by Side and they were great! They give you huge glasses for the beer and rum and coke on the boat....and seriously filled the cup 3/4 with rum! I would suggest getting the CD of pictures taken, we didnt and I regret it after seeing that the photographers would almost give you a whole photo shoot with the gorgeous surroundings. It was a party on that boat for sure!! We almost wanted to do the same tour twice!

Amazing tour, could not fault this. All the hosts were helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. Amazing lunch supplied on a beautiful beach, was truly a wonderful setting.

Buggy's are not kept up well, the terrain is extremely rough and the scenery is not very appealing. Part of the trip you are driving through the waste management station which smells just like one. Once we boarded the catamaran and beach portion everything was good. I would suggest skipping the buggy tour as it is not worth it.

Was a really fun trip.. exceeded expectations and had a great time!

This tour was great. Driving the side by side was fun. Wish it was a bit longer. The cataraman was great. Swimming in the middle of the ocean was a wonderful experience. Lunch was very yummy and on a beautiful beach.

The best part of this excursion was the catamaran with lunch. The beach and lunch were amazing, their was a great variety of food and it was very good we were actually a little surprised on how much, the choices we got and how good it was :. After you leave the beach, they take you to swim in a natural lagoon in the ocean. The boat was beautiful and the staff aboard the boat were fantastic - they stopped to talk to everyone, even the kids, and made sure you always had a drink. The drinks were plentiful and they knew how to get the party going, they were great!! I would recommend this excursion for just this part alone!
The off-road buggy was good, the best part of this was the natural freshwater lagoon you got to swim in. You do a little walking to get to it and I would recommend bringing bug spray, as the mosquitoes were bad. This trip includes going to the lagoon and back. The roads were very bumpy and there is no scenery to look at on the way. The staff was very friendly!!! After the buggy ride, you do the catamaran which was great!

Awesome Tour!!
The Off Road Buggy Tour was fun. The ground was dry but still fun to ride around. Make sure to bring a bandanna, they charge 5.00 per bandanna. After the buggy ride we walked through a path to the beautiful, refreshing lagoon. Took a dip, and headed back on the buggies.
There was a car ready for us to head over to the Catamaran. We were greeted upon arrival with a glass of Champagne.
After a short ride to Playa Blanca we were seated under tropical palm trees for a delicious lunch.
After lunch we had time for pictures and a quick dip in the ocean. We then headed back on the Catamaran to sail to the Natural Pool. Were we enjoyed drinksBeer,Rum and Champagne in the water which was waist deep, and enjoyed the awesome afternoon. Great trip!!

really great day out. the off road buggys were quite the trip and yes, we got very muddy but that was part of the fun. Lunch on Playa Blanca was OK, not great but OK and then we swam and lounged and chatted with the other guestsbefore heading out on the catamaran. That was a fun afternoon, not totally over thetop drinking but just enough that we all had a great time

Very good value for money and great fun time had by all

So much fun! Even though the ground was dry and there werent any mud puddles to splash through the off-road buggy adventure was a blast with ALOT of bouncing around. The cool dip in the natural spring was a great refresher and the catamaran ride, champagne, and a 7-course I think lunch served on the beach was amazing! This excursion is definitely worth the money!

driver arrived at exact time! Buggies and lagoon were awesome! Highly recommend purchasing the bandanas! Bring your own towel! Lunch was delicious and boat ride was awesome! The only downfall of the buggies was If the person in front of you doesn't want to go fast u can't either

Tour was amazing, would recommend it. Buggy's where amazing fun. Catamaran was not a long cruise more of a stop in the sea for a padle, though had music and rum to keep you happy :-)

It was one of the best times we had. We have used viator in Italy now Dominican Republic and was very pleased

Fantastic experience. From start to finish. The staff was friendly and made the whole excursion fun. Lunch was a surprise with the spread of food. The White table cloth and cover chairs made the experience wonderful. The catamaran was such of breath of fresh air. The Buggy ride was exhilarating. Pot holes to dirt roads. Had a great time. The only issue was the people in front of us, were slow and not using the accelerator to experience the full enjoyment. This made the ride a bit taxing. But all in all... this excursion was one that would certainly be done again.

One of the most disappointing excursions ever except lunch was excellent. Dune buggy ride was VERY bumpy, dusty and the view was boring. No effort was made to entertain people with music, dance or party games on the very short boring catamaran ride. What a rip off.

Loved this tour!! SO much fun. Lunch on the beach was spectacular!! My only complaint is the paparazzi. We bought the CD thinking it would be worth the money. Didn't get to watch it until we got home and it was terrible. Don't waste your money. Your own pics will be much better. The tour itself though, is a blast!

Amazing time, great food, great music, staff was incredible, drinks were fantastic, highly recommended

Highly recommended! We have an amazing time will definitely repeat this tour

PROS: Lots of fun, knowledgeable multilingual guides, open bar
CONS: Tourist trap once you're there, not clearly organized, open bar

Had a great time on this trip. The bus picked us up at the scheduled time exactly, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and fluent in at least four different languages. The cart are not "electric zero-emission" like the description here says, they are big, beefy, gas-sucking hogs. But they are FUN! Put the hammer down and hold on! They're more fun the faster you go, and they handle the bumps better at speed, too.

The lagoon was nice and refreshing after that initial chill, it does get a little crowded if everyone jumps in at once. The hike to get there takes less than 10 minutes over a fairly easy trail - it's wide and not too difficult, but it does have a number of roots and rocks to deal with.

So things to know about for the buggy tour - it's a ripoff for anything once you're inside there, but if you're prepared beforehand it shouldn't be an issue. They sell you bandannas for $5 to cover your face, and if you didn't bring your own, you can either cheerfully pay them or spend the boat ride picking bugs and grit out of your teeth. Forgot insect repellent? That's another $10 - you get the idea.

After the buggies, it's a five minute bus ride to the marina, where you load up on the boat and head out to a semi-private resort beach for lunch. Lunch was fantastic - multiple courses served fresh from the resort restaurant. This was a gourmet meal, not a cheap box lunch! It's open bar and game on the rest of the cruise. The boat guides are friendly, funny, and everyone is dancing and begging for more by the end of the trip!

Overall, it's a fun day without trying to pack too much in. Be prepared with a bandanna, insect repellent, sunscreen, and maybe some snacks, and you'll be all set. The only thing that could be a little better is some better organization, but overall a great experience.

The experience began with a bit of scheduling/time management issues: picked us up early and we sat at the stables for an hour, but once we started, we were pleasantly surprised at A) the length of buggy trip B) the delicious menu and C) the overall fun atmosphere! Well worth it!

This was a great day out in Punta Cana! The off-road dune buggy part was fun, over some large pot holes and through some puddles. The fresh water lagoon was gorgeous, but a little cold. The best part of the day was the catamaran ride. The lunch on the beach was delicious, and the water was perfect.

Was not happy about the 7:10am pickup time from the resort but the excursion absolutely made up for it. The 4x4 tour was a blast and the catamaran was absolutely worth it. It turned out to be the best part of the vacation by far. Highly recommend it but do not expect a detailed overview of what is happening and when, just go with the flow, relax, and enjoy it!

Best excursion we took in Punta Cana! The buggies are so fun and the beach they take you to for the catamaran and lunch is stunning. This tour is well worth the money.

Everything was as promised. You get very dirty in the buggy ride, but the catamaran ride washes it all away. The lunch served was first class with lots of food and choices.

Enjoyed this tour. Staff was very pleasant, informative and helpful. Lunch on the beach was wonderful!! Would highly recommend!

It didn't just rain but POURED on us during the buggy ride but it made it that much better and more muddy! Then it cleared off just in time for the relaxing catamaran cruise where we were able to take beautiful pictures and warm up from being frozen by the rain. The excursion was long, but since there were so many activities you never felt bored.

Two complaints and then we'll focus on pleasant things. First, snacks are listed as a part of the package; none were offered and when we asked, the tour guides said there weren't any. We waited until lunch to eat (meager portions). Water was offered but snacks would have helped tide us over to lunch. Second, charging customers, who already shelled out money, $5 for a bandana is EXPLOITIVE. You know it's needed otherwise we'd choke on the dust from the buggies in front. This is not how you take care of customers by blindsiding them with extra costs.
Now the compliments - the tour guides are lovely and energetic! They arrived on time to the resort and kept their enthusiasm the entire day. The excursion was super fun, the beachside lunch was delicious and the water was heavenly! Our favorite part was after lunch when the catamaran took us to a sand bar. We still think about the gorgeous water!

We had an awesome fun filled day with plenty of fun. First you take your side by side to this Eco park where there is a walk to this beautiful Lagoon where you had time to swim. Then you drove the side by sides back to the start and then got back on the bus and went to a beach and had lunch at the restaurant with your group. The food was fabulous by the way. After lunch there was some time on the beach although no one gave any direction as to what to expect or what the plan was so everyone just mulled around the beach waiting. After about 30 minutes we boarded our catamaran and drove around and all of a sudden you stop way out in the ocean and you get off the catamaran and you are waist deep in the ocean. They serve drinks throughout the whole boat ride and also they serve you drinks in the ocean. The sun set while we were out in the ocean and everyone had a fabulous time.

Exciting and a lovely day , lunch at a private beach , bonus is the catamaran . Great drinks.

The driver arrived at the hotel right on time which I understand is unusual and the transportation was great. Clean and air conditioned. There was a lot of confusion at the drop off point because our driver spoke very little english. Once it was finally straightened out we were given our instructions and a buggy. First buggy wouldn't start. Second buggy wouldn't go more than 10 miles per hour so we fell behind the group. They brought us a third buggy and the throttle cable broke on it leaving us unable to go any where. Finally the guides at the back of the group gave us their dune buggy and WE HAD A BLAST. The catamaran ride and lunch was a lot of fun. Lunch was good, we got to make friends and we drank. Manny, our guide on the catamaran was great and he spoke english and spanish so every one was able to understand him. The ride back was quite noisy as we had four drunk college kids with us but overall we had a good time.

This was a fantastic trip. The outing itself was great but the tour guides went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent trip.

It was great. The locals offer it cheaper but I would not risk it as they ask for a deposit and you never know if you will see them again.. Worth the extra money we paid for. It was all day and the catamaran and the bus were very well kept. The food at the Island was awesome and a lot of. The drinks were also good and refreshing. Only thing is I wish we spend more time in the natural water lagoon. Very clean and refreshing. The buggy ride was better than expected, my fiancee and his son had a blast. I would do it again if I had the opportunity.

This was the best excursion we did. The four wheel ride was fun and the catamaran ride was gorgeous. Lots of good food and plenty of beverages.

Spent more time sitting around waiting and lots of walking during the buggy trip. Catamaran highly recommend. Food, trip and people were awesome.
