Typical Dominican buggy experience. You travel very slowly down roads. Some are paved, others are rock and mud. Thankfully it had rained a lot prior to the trip so we werent just a giant dust cloud. The bikes are in need of service. The guides were the best part. They were informative, courteous, and not pushy when it came to making purchases. Beer was decently priced at 5$usd. 8usd at the beach for a 600ml presidente. The knock on this place was the truck ride home. The fumes circulating in the back got me quite stoned and I had a headache for several hours afterwards. Sit as far back as possible in the truck for better ventilation. For the price, this buggy experience was better than the other one I went on.

Wow, what a fantastic fun day. Highly recommend. It's all about getting wet and muddy in the mud and enjoying it.
The tour was awesome, it rained that day so we got to get extra muddy, the muddier the better. This company was very good in communicating on pick up place and time. They were well organized and our tour guide was great and pleasant. I would recommend them if you want to explore outside the resort.
Great people and staff. And the time was worth it The local friendly; the beach amazing and the cave
Really had an amazing time on this… I love ATVs lol you get muddy wonderful experience with my best friend!
Carl, peter, Ricardo all three amazing people Very very good experience they took care of us and very good people
Great experience I had a blast would do it again and would definitely recommend and as a solo traveler they did great making sure I was good
If you’re an experienced ATV rider, I wouldn’t recommend this excursion. They are strict and they don’t allow you to do anything fun. Passing by other atvs/buggies, they were full of mud while we were dry. Every stop we made was rushed to get to the next stop. The photographer was the best though, he captured some great pics. I wouldn’t recommend nor would I book again.
This is a scam. They set a location for a KFC and never picked me up then tried to reschedule for a day that I wasn’t available. Told me that they will provide me with a refund and then did not try to block me from the WhatsApp number that they have provided.
Our tour was amazing! The guides were super funny and very personable. The photos we received were incredible! We really appreciated the warning about the people on the beach who might try to trick us with purchases - that was super helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful time!
This experience was really good, with driving the buggy and getting to see a lot of the different parts of Dominican Republic as you're driving through the various places. I thought the value was pretty good and I really enjoyed driving the buggy with everybody in our group, and it was a lot of fun as I had the two person buggy with my partner. We opted not to go for the ATV and I thought the experience was a little bit better in the buggy personally. The only caveat that I would say was the Cave Part was a little crowded, but other than that the buggy part and driving everything was a lot of fun. Would totally recommend it!
Bring a mask, bandana or Gatorade and goggles.... you go thru a lot of muddy areas. Cave jump was great... you have to climb a rock to get out, but there's a rope and they'll give you a helping hand
The whole excursion was wonderful, from the ATVs, to the Mamajuana, even Macao beach. I would book again!!!
Well worth the cost . Only downside was we were at serenade caribe and the travel time was 90 minutes .
Great! Wish it was longer so much fun! Cave was the best part! No complaints at all! Food is not included!
Nice ltime was fine the only problem they want to hook up with the photos pick up from the hotel was on time…
Great love every minute of the experience. Showed up to the check point on time to pick us up. Will recommend
Good ATV experience with our guide Victor. Cheaper than if you booked through the resorts. Bring towels and water though. They don’t provide anything.
An entertaining and fun experience, immersing yourself in Dominican culture in the DR countryside. Recommended if you enjoy extreme adventures.
Very fun, the water cave was the worst part because of how crowded and pushy everybody was. Otherwise fantastic time, the rainstorm made it better.
Victor was great! He was very patient when we accidentally didn’t know how to drive the ATV! He had good jokes and was very timely and efficient. Such a fun guide for a great excursion!!
Great value and a fun afternoon. Our tour guide Victor was great. Kept us safe and entertained. Thank you!
JACKSON TOUR Guide. He was amazing, we had a great time! Recommend this for everyone trying to explore and see DR!
Great company and very knowledgeable. Tour guide Carlos was amazing. The only down part is that we didn’t spend enough time at the different locations that we visited but overall great experience
Good for value. Cave is not what we expected, it seems to be artificial and artificial. Beach was also average, lots of sargaso and people trying to oversell things. In general good experience, if what you look is to drive an ATV around, places were a bit disappointing. Service, security and organization is pretty neat.
Victor was good. It was a fun experience
Great experience! If I come back I will definitely come back to you guys! Tour Guide: Victor
Victor was amazing! Very nice and helpful
Exciting and enjoyable experience
I had an amazing time with Victor as our tour guide! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. He made sure we were comfortable, answered all of our questions, and kept the energy great the entire time. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend Victor!
Juan was amazing! Our 2 yr old fell asleep and he had someone take my mom and my 2yr old on a atv to the beach so they didn't have to walk. Although we did wish we had more time at the beach, 25 minutes was not enough to enjoy the beautiful beach!
Victor was an amazing tour guide. He made our experience even better.
Amazing would definitely do this again!! Tour guy made sure to let us know everything !! And the whole experience was great!
Overall, it was a solid experience, but a couple of logistical issues kept it from being great. First, the pickup process at Riu Republica was chaotic. Our driver arrived late, and with vehicles pulling up every few minutes without any visible signage, we had to approach random vans just to figure out if it was ours. Second, the itinerary felt off; we made three different stops and ended up spending more time waiting around than actually riding the ATVs. We left at 2:00 PM and didn't get back until after 7:00 PM. On a positive note, the staff gave us a fantastic heads-up on common beach scams, which helped us easily handle panhandlers later.
Today was fantastic thank you to Victor our Tour guide..He is an Amazing guide .If you ever interested in Atv or riding please ask for VICTOR to get the full Experience of punta Cana Boogie …
Great service , really fun with “punta Cana boogie”
Good Fun, wear dark colours you get muddy! Wear Face coverings & eye protection from the dust! Be warned the salesman fleece you throughout the trip, so very pushy. Agree a price before you purchase! We felt totally scammed by just buying food on the beach stop off, goggles & coffee & Cocao. The Photos were great at the end of the trip but at a cost of $120!!!!!
Jackson was our guide and he was amazing. We had a great time!
The buggy tour was great. We had a blast
Very good experience with Victor our tour guide
Very fun experience for sure, me and my husband had a great time! The mamajuana and chocolate tasting was my fav part
this is a great place to come with family!! Don’t come with anybody below 5 though or you won’t fully enjoy it!! Also do not come with sneakers, bring crocs or water shoes. BRING YOUR OWN GLASSES AND BANDANA THEY ARE WAYYY OVERPRICED!!! 25 USD IS INSANE!!?! But overall I will come back this was so fun!!! Also victor is a great tour guide so be sure to ask for him!!
I booked at the last minute and was accommodated. Very good trip. Victor is marvelous
The ATV was amazing and our tour guide was great, he was really nice but when we got to the beach this guy who served us our drinks was horrible. He was trying to charge us $25 for two passionfruit juices. We went to the beach yesterday and paid $3 each for the drinks. Then he attempts to go lower down to $6 each knowing that he charged us over. I told him absolutely not I’m not paying that much when we paid $3 each yesterday. He got angry with me and threw our drink. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in all my life. The nerve of him to treat tourists like that especially women is beyond me. It was extremely rude and disrespectful. I would recommend paying more for a better tour and one where you don’t feel rushed or treated with disrespect.
Very unorganized had hell finding my tour guide at the beach had to spend $30 for a bandanna to put over your nose $30 for goggles. Something they should provide I would not recommend five mi
It’s was amazing! Jackson was a wonderful tour guide
Jackson was amazing and a great tour guide throughout!!
> Most of the reviews on viator for this experience must've been bought, because there's no way this experience was worth my time and money. The entire experience was extremely disorganized and so time consuming. > > We first got picked up from our hotel at 10:20 AM but the ride to the starting point of the excursion was about 1.5 hours. To be fair, this point was mentioned on the pickup details during high season, in the listing, but since we went in July, we assumed it was going to be a short ride. Unfortunately, we were the first few to get picked up in the Open Safari Truck and had our expectations set on a short ride since technically it was during the off-season. > > Finally around 12:00 PM we arrive, and this is around the time we fully realize how many people are going to be participating with us, which was about 50~ people. There was another 1 hour wait for people to check in, buying souvenirs, and get their helmets. > > Around 12:45 PM, there was another check in, then you get seated onto your ATV. Personally, this part was the most frustrating part for me because there were about 4 rows of 10 ATVs/Shared buggies and I was seated towards the beginning of the process. There was no shade and there was only 1 person checking in about 50 people, so again, this was very time consuming and i was sitting in the sun for a long time. > > 1:20 PM we finally roll out, and reach the first stop, where we "learn about local products such as coffee, cacao, and mamajuana" but all the instructor did was announce the name of the items and proceed to pass it around and say "we have this available for purchase". We leave this spot (after the guides told us to get back onto the ATV and wait in the sun while waiting for everyone to finish purchasing their items) and head to the Playa Macao. > >At this point, it was 2:20 PM and the guides instructed us that we have enough time to order food, enjoy the beach and relax. Sounds good! Half of our group ordered some food and drinks while the other half went into the beach. By the time the food came out (btw the food here was insanely expensive, it was like $35 for chicken tenders and fries and $20 per drink and if you’re playing with a credit card there’s a 25% fee 🤣), the guides were telling us to get ready to leave and they were rushing our group get back onto the ATVs. > > Next, the cenote, where we really only had time to jump in and come out while and then get haggled to go shop at the dominican macy's, in total about 15 minutes, then you ride back to the start and the excersion is over. Each area we visited was genuinely really cool and enjoyable, but its a shame that we weren't able to experience our time and we were being rushed because the "get your ATVs ready" time creeps into the stops of the itinerary. The viator listing said it was 3-4 hours approximate, but realistically if you're spending a majority of the time waiting on the 40 other people in the tour to get ready to leave, it doesn't make an enjoyable experience. Maybe if the groups were smaller, there would've been more time and it would've been more enjoyable.
Bring your own everything . Glasses ,drinks and face covering . They will charge for every thing and very expensive. They take you nice spot to visit but each spot they are forcing you to buy things
The buggy/ATV tour in the Dominican Republic was one of the highlights of my trip and is definitely a must-do! I signed up as a shared rider, which gave me the opportunity to ride with one of the guides. It turned out to be a great experience—they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the ride even more fun. I also paid extra for the photographer, and it was absolutely worth it. I came home with so many amazing action shots and scenic photos that I never could have captured with selfies. It allowed me to fully enjoy the adventure while someone else documented the memories. The tour included several stops along the way where we learned about the local area, had opportunities to shop, and experienced more than just the ride itself. Everything was well organized, the staff was friendly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic, don’t skip this excursion—it offers incredible value and unforgettable memories!
