My family and I had a great time, but the staff (not all- but most) are horribly miserable, they are rude, unkind and resentful which truly put us in a bad mood several times. The front desk ignores your presence and acts indignant if you ask a question. Check- in is a nightmare experience, incredibly disorganized makes you regret being there. Besides the staff, the resort its self is fine, pool and beach areas are fine, and decent as to be expected for the price. The rooms are updated, however we personally had an issue with no running water in our room on several occasions. The restaurant experience were actually very good, they have 7 but will only allow you to book 2 or 3 throughout your trip, they claim they are all booked but we had friends that booked other restaurants after us that were supposedly booked to capacity. If youre looking for good quality alcohol keep looking, they have the cheapest bottles known to man, they are actually terrible drinks. The activities for children are nice, but the advertised activities do not always take place as the staff say they do which was another disappointment for the kids. The other guests were all very pleasant and respectful. The buffet dining was okay, nothing to rave about, at peak times there are very long lines to be seated, as well as the food is cold, the waiters are reluctant to give you water. The resort has an overwhelming smell of stagnant water, I am not sure if it due to the beach salt water or the water in the koi fish ponds. Lastly, the constant bombardment from vendors to sell you trips to tourist traps and take your photos for 20 dollars a pop is exhausting. A nice family that we met at the beach had a gentleman scam them, he asked if they would like a photo with an iguana not disclosing that the photo was 40 dollars until afterwards. We did overall have a nice experience but there were many things that disappointed us, our expectations were not super high and we're were not totally disappointed.

Me and my family had a great experience, staff makes us feel welcome like family since day one. Great activities and food. At the front bar Hector took care of me and my wife with great drinks like Daiquiris. The bar by the beach Pedro and Daris took care with the best piña colada and coco loco. I will definitely come back and will give a 10 start with this wonderful experience.
The Good - Lots of positives, including the location, the cleanliness, and the pool. Really nice swim-up bar. Food was above average, but fabulous, but good. Price was very reasonable. The Bad - Service was overall not great. Many employees were outright rude, especially on the crepe restaurant and main buffet. Did have some good interactions, but as is often the case, the bad ones tend to stick out. The Ugly - while checking in a gentleman from the hotel walked up to us and said he was our personal concierge. The showed us to our rooms and said he would bring us a survival breakfast the next morning for my daughter's 17th birthday. Instead, he showed up in a golf cart and said he was taking us to a special restaurant on the beach. While driving there, he proceeded to tell us it included a mandatory one hour presentation on a vacation club/time share thing. 3 hours later we were able to resume celebrating our daughter. And we never saw our "personal concierge" the rest of the trip.
My personal review: The grounds were beautiful and the ponds with wildlife were great. Also the beach chairs and location was near perfect but, not speaking Spanish, I honestly felt excluded at this resort. I’ve been to 6 all-inclusive resorts, mostly Secrets and Sandals, and this was by far the worst experience. The food options during the day were extremely limited — basically a buffet that felt reused and sat out, with very few alternatives. The dinners were just okay, but the “all-inclusive” experience felt restricted compared to other resorts where you can actually enjoy the restaurants and menus. Good luck with picky kids because options are very limited. Entertainment was almost nonexistent, rooms had AC and shower issues, and the room service food was nearly un-edible. The staff often seemed annoyed, ignored us, or treated us differently because we only spoke English. I watched multiple people get served before me while I was already waiting at the bar. The resort also allows vendors to constantly bother guests, which takes away from the relaxing vacation experience. Overall, the hospitality, food, and service were disappointing. If you’re expecting a true all-inclusive experience like Secrets or Sandals, save your money and choose somewhere else. This resort was not worth it and I would not recommend it.
Beautiful, impeccably-maintained grounds. Massive area to walk, so pretty and pleasant, we just adored the setting. Pool near beach, food and bar near pool, so ideal. Plenty of chairs. Could use more towels more frequently (often had to wait for them). Ladies room could use more frequent servicing. All in all, our experience here was very positive; the food was fabulous and varied. Our room was cleaned and supplied very well, and with a few tweaks the room could have been a five star. It was a bit tired looking but so are we! We do not require trendy furnishings but like things neatly caulked and prefer a glass shower door to a curtain as a curtain sticks to you at times which isn't pleasant. We loved our deck with two chairs, table and comfortable hammock! There were birds to watch from our 3rd floor ideal location (but no elevator here and our knees got a workout). We enjoyed every minute of our vacation though!!!
