Travel approximately 60–70 minutes from Punta Arenas to Estancia Olga Teresa, home to one of the largest Andean condor roosts in Chilean Patagonia. Upon arrival, enjoy coffee and cookies followed by a short presentation about the biology and conservation of these magnificent birds.
Take an easy walk across flat terrain to a scenic cliff overlooking the condor roost. With expert researchers and professional telescopes and binoculars, observe and photograph the condors while learning about their behavior and identifying individual birds.
Afternoon visits offer the best opportunities to see condors returning to the roost, although sightings are possible throughout the day.
