We had a great experience on our trip to the islands with our guide, Samue. He explained everything very clearly and was always considerate of the English-speaking guests, making sure that we understood the information and never felt left out. Samuel was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and he made the whole trip much more enjoyable. We really appreciated how attentive he was throughout the tour. We would definitely recommend this tour and Samuel to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Itinerary
Lake Titicaca is located between Peru and Bolivia. It is the highest navigable lake in the world; you will sail around its waters.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno's historic center between 6:45 and 7:00 AM. Before boarding the motorboat to the Uros Islands, we will make a brief stop at the dock where you can purchase snacks and bottled water. Once on board, our guide will introduce himself and the boat captain before giving you an overview of the itinerary on Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be the floating islands of Uros. During the journey, you will see totora reeds growing on the lake. When the boat docks, the island chief will demonstrate how the islands are constructed from totora reeds and share a few words in Aymara. The locals are known for their handicrafts, which you will have the opportunity to purchase. You will then have the option to take a totora reed boat (15 Soles) to the main island of Uros and have your passport stamped as a souvenir. From here, we will begin our boat trip to Taquile Island. You can walk to the upper deck of the boat and take photos of the floating islands.
On Lake Titicaca lies Taquile Island, where local villagers have created a thriving industry of woven handicrafts, primarily crafted by the men of the community. Taquile is home to a Quechua population of 2,000 people, who are mainly farmers, fishermen, and renowned weavers. Contrary to the traditional view of weaving as women's domain, on Taquile, it is the men who perform much of the delicate work with the thread. We will also be invited to watch and dance with the local villagers, performing their traditional dances. Afterward, we will continue our walk to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, around 2:30 PM, you will board the boat back to Puno. At approximately 4:30 PM, the boat will dock at the Puno pier, where we will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel in the city's historic center.

The experience was great. Interesting to see people living on the floating island at Uros. In 10-15 years probably people won’t live there anymore more because it’s a hard live. Taquile island we were welcomed with a traditional dance, had a great local lunch and short walk back to the speedboat. The agency were so nice to arrange a taxi to the airport so we could make this trip without any stress
This tour was a great way to experience the wonderful sights of Lake Titicaca, especially from Taquile. Seeing the floating islands and hearing the presentation those living there gave about their lives was also very cool. However, note that the tour boat's bathrooms are not the best, and that the included lunch, while good, did not have a large range of options.
Well organized tour. Giovanni was an excellent guide who explained all very well. The Uros Islands presentation and visit was informative. The Taquile Island visit was amazing and lunch was very good. The toilet in the fast boat was very basic but at least there was a toilet!
The tour was fantastic! Beautiful places and the guys are prepared to explain all the things. I loved the experience.
It’s awesome! Even the owner can not speak in English, she still try to use google translate to communicate!
Today I had the chance to visit the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, and it was a lovely experience. The first part of the tour was nice, but the real highlight for me was definitely Taquile—the scenery there is beautiful. Of course, as is typical with these tours, they do try to push you to spend a bit of extra money here and there, but the tour is excellent value for money and the quality was more than satisfying for what we paid. The guide was incredibly kind and helpful, and the lunch was delicious. It’s a well-paced day trip, not too long, and overall definitely worth doing!
Excellent tour, very educational! Lake Titikaka offers some amazing views. Tour guides were helpful!
Our tour was lovely, we went with Samuel who was a great guide and very kind and knowledgeable. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed this trip especially Taquile! I highly recommend this trip.
Loved it - such a well organised, varied experience. Highlights included lunch and our guide Samuel, whose sense of humour was brilliant. Thanks for a great day!
All is good. The experience is the best because you should meet each place with a good guide. You can take good pictures and you can learn about their culture.
It was a very enjoyable trip with lots of nice and amazing views. We were given a lot of useful information by the guide. The lunch was nice as well. The meeting point in the morning was clear and we departed on time towards the port.
This excursion was incredibly fun! Our tour guide, Samuel, did a good job showing us around Lake Titicaca. We got to see the lifestyle of the Uros people and gorgeous landscape on Taquile Island (the hike up to the main plaza in Taquile was a bit more strenuous than expected). Carmen deserves a special shout out as we left a bag on the boat that she hand-delivered to our hotel. When we offered to compensate her for her troubles, she politely declined. I highly recommend this excursion!
This was wonderful and such a unique experience. My tour guide was excellent — bilingual, friendly & helpful, and very informative. Walking on Uros reminded me of gymnastics mats, stable but squishy. They did hard sell the artisan handicrafts, which I don’t love, but I also get that tourist souvenirs are probably a large and important revenue stream. If you’re physically up for it, the short hike on Taquile was absolutely gorgeous. At both stops there was some singing and / or dancing which I very much enjoyed.
Nice tour. First, quite touristy, to uros islands. Hard to imagine that people are really living there and not only coming to welcome the tourists. Second to Taquile island, definitely the highlight of the trip. Very relaxed, quiet and friendly island. We should have stayed there overnight instead of Puno!
Our guide was really boring, but was the worst thing is that he missed other travelers when we get back from Taquila, terrible group management skills. Boat was dirty and old. The only good thing are the landscapes of taquile, not this agency
It was really great tour. However i would like to mention two things. In the tour description, riding in the local boat is optional however that is not the case. Main boat left us on the island and we had to pay to get to next island. Make sure you USDs. Also trip to Taquile Island invloves quite steep hike be prepared.
Poor directions from the tour guide. They did not close the front windows on the boat and most people got cold.
Vine por segunda vez y me encantó, solo que no pude poner mi experiencia en la misma página de get your guide, el precio excelente, el guía Samuel fue muy amable y servicial, la experiencia y vista fue increíble, ame todo el recorrido.
An issue arose with the meeting point, but everything changed once we got on the boat and the guide was great the whole time, a beautiful experience to Taquile and Uros islands, recommended for sure if you visit Puno.
Spectacular experience, kind and attentive guide. Congratulations on your excellent service.
The entire service was very good. They were kind and fun. Thank you for your work with the tourists to make us feel good and have a fun time.
Very good service from the guide and the place of Taquile was fantastic.
They were very patient, always kind, and have given us excellent service. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend them. Thank you for your good service.
A transport picks you up at the hotel, which is convenient. Then you board one of the (dozens of) boats ready to leave for the island; it starts with music on board (plan for tips). The guide Samuel was very interesting because he spoke English and Spanish and gave a lot of explanations. On Uros: you arrive in a community of a few inhabitants who show the construction of an island, then souvenir purchases are (too) strongly recommended; most leave on the boat (15 S/pers) to reach the island opposite in 10min; we returned to the big boat for our part. 2nd Uros island to pick up people and buy coffee, food, or crafts. Departure then for Taquile; the boat drops you off at a port and you have to climb for about 30 minutes at a good pace, and 50 if you take breaks, because it can be complicated in terms of breathing. At the top = dance demonstration that follows for all the tourists (tips), then restaurant (choice between 2 menus previously chosen on the boat), and the guide tells the history of the island and the local crafts. Fairly steep descent to the 2nd port where you pick up the boat, then return to Puno. A shuttle can drop you back off at the hotel if you wish.
It was a wonderful experience; despite having difficulties traveling the route, the guide Lenin was an excellent person, very attentive and kind, always very patient. I recommend it 100%. It is a great experience and with the best guide it is comforting. Since you know that everything is going well, it was a worry-free trip, I loved it.
Let yourselves be surprised. Go to the public port and take a boat, there are many options The city, places to eat, churches, lots of shops...wonderful experience.
A good experience to discover Lake Titicaca in one day. The view and the food were delicious.
I had a lot of fun, it is a very pleasant experience, totally recommended, good explanation and I was able to understand more about the culture of my beautiful Peru, thanks to the guide Miguel!
Beautiful discovery of the Uros islands, the inhabitants, and their way of life. A bit disappointed by the visit to Taquile. A lot of boat time for a brief crossing of the island.
Nice tour, a bit difficult for the climb of Taquile. Altitude 4000m and very steep path. Always too many things to stall in a day, we do more transport than visit. Our guide Giovani was very pleasant and attentive.
It was a unique experience, the food, the places we visited, the knowledge about the uses and customs of the local people, the demonstrations of the looms, the dances, made our day an unforgettable experience, our guide Samuel has in great knowledge of the local customs as well as a wide command of different languages which made the visit very pleasurable, I would take the tour again with this excellent company and with your guide Samuel
The guide samuel the Best guide in Taquile was wonderful and your typical boat mercedes benz
Tours recommended, very nice experience.
Excellent experience, friendly, empathetic treatment, assertive communication, pleasant. Answer to questions at the moment, clarifying doubts precisely....
Excellent service, very good treatment. Compensating for guides, good feeding points. I would buy the service again without hesitation
Samuel has been very attentive to everything during the excursion, plus a very complete explanation. I recommend not to miss the experience in Taquile Island. Sulpayki!
Carmen the best advisor, we did all the tours with her and guided us in the best way. We met taquile and sillustani.
Carmen offered us an excellent Service, we took up to 3 tours and she was always willing to help us and give us solution. Definitely recommended!
Excellent transport, concern for the tourist and very good food on the island, at all times there was attention from arrival to departure
Wonderful experience , had a great time, were comfortable, good food, fantastic guide and general attention, recommend it, Vane very good attention
It was incredible, we loved the walk. The guide was very didactic in all his explanations, the meals were very good. We are delighted with the place
Unique, unforgettable and exciting experience. a unique place in the world and a leap into really special cultures. absolutely to try
Everything very well organized. Worth highlighting is the kindness and professionalism of the guides, especially Samuel. Highly recommended.
I highlight the professionalism of the guides Giovanni and Samuel. Samuel is a native of one of the islands of Lake Titicaca, his father is Aymara and his mother is Quechua. Visiting the Uros Islands and meeting its inhabitants is spectacular.
The service I liked very much, the attention the pickup, it was a beautiful experience, recommended the islands left us delighted I recommend this agency.
Excellent service was fulfilled the route as agreed without any inconvenience that I like the Mercedes uros service see, I also liked the dance and also the fried trout a delight....guide Samuel
The view is impressive in blockbuster the activities we did dance and I do not explain about blockbuster and how they make their natural shampoo
The visit is to listen and learn about life and culture. Beautiful views in Taquile from there you can see the gray color of the water on cloudy days.
Thanks to Vanesa who guided us and we made a great experience in the Isle of Uros and Taquile. Unforgettable! I recommend them
