Itinerary
Day 1
1
We will be picking you up from your hotel within the historic centre of Puno between 0745 and 0800 in the morning. Before boarding the motor boat to Uros Island we will have a brief stop at the boat pier where you can buy some snacks and bottled water. Once onboard the boat, a local musician would welcome you with an Andean Folkloric music. Our guide would then introduce himself and the captain of the boat before giving you a brief about the day’s itinerary on the World’s highest navigable lake, Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be at the iconic floating islands of Uros. During the journey from the mainland to one of the Uros Islands, you can see totora plants that grow on Lake Titicaca. These constitute the basic source of food and, at the same time, they serve as a maintenance system that the Uros have to perpetuate the existence of the islands As the boat would dock in, local women dressed in the local attire would extend a warm welcome to the place they call home. The head of the island would then demonstrate how they build these islands using totora plants and would share a few words in their native language (Aymara). Natives here are known for their handicrafts, so you may buy some if you would wish to. You will then have an option of sailing on the traditional totora reed boat (10 Soles) to the main island of Uros. If desired, you can get your passport stamped here as a souvenir. From here, we will start our boat ride to Amantani islands. You may walk up to the open deck on the upper level of the boat and get some photos of the floating islands that you would be passing through.
As we would dock into the shores of Amantani island, locals would extend a warm welcome to you. The head of the family will be walking you to their house where you will be spending the night in a private room. They would welcome you with a freshly cooked authentic Peruvian meal for lunch. After having lunch you would have some free time to wink a nap or saunter through the cobble stone streets of this beautiful island. In the evening our guide would meet you to start your up hill walk to the two ancient Incan temple Pachatata and Pachamama. These temples offer a stunning panoramic view of the Lake Titicaca and you can witness the sunset from here. Once you are back from this short tour, your host family would have dinner cooked for you. And after relishing on a Peruvian meal for dinner (with options for vegetarians), you may join the local folkloric musical event. Your host would help you get dressed in a traditional attire and walk you to the community hall where the event would be held. Young boys from the island play live Andean Folkloric Music while the visitors dance to the tune.
Day 2
2
After having breakfast with the family, we will continue with our journey. We will be boarding the ferry to Taquile Island. Breaching the green waters of Peru’s Lake Titicaca is the little mound island of Taquile where the local villagers have created a steady industry of knit handicrafts, which are knit by the men of the community. Taquile is home of a Quechua population of 2,000 people who are mainly farmers, fishermen and above all renowned weavers. The fine textiles that come out of Taquile are renowned the world over and are even protected as a UNESCO world heritage subject. However unlike the often tragically traditional view of knitting and textile work as the demesne of women, it is the men of Taquile Island do much of the delicate thread work. The craftwork is divided between weaving and knitting; women do the weaving, while the knitting is man’s work. The tradition begins when they are young as boys on the island begin learning their trade at the tender age of 8. Chief among these crafts are the iconic chuyo hats that many of the locals wear. Women can also be found making yarn and other tasks surrounding the creation of the items. The 2,000-some residents of the island are well aware of the tourist appeal of their lovely island and its traditional Spanish garments. They have gone so far as to create a rather unique model for their visitor industry where the villagers act as a community to manage the comings and goings of tourists as well as the attractions they offer. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (not included and costs 20 Soles). After lunch you will be boarding the boat back to Puno. We will meet you upon your arrival and will transfer you back to your hotel within the historic centre of Puno.

Exactly as described. Our tour guide Ronald did a wonderful job showing us around. He was attentive and his talks were informative. We also had a lovely host family and we had a wonderful time with them. Miluska from the back office also did an amazing job coordinating our last minute logistics change. Last but not the least, we are happy to hear that the tourism dollars are making some impact to the Uros, Amatani and Tequile communities.
It was an unforgettable experience. We took a 2-day, 1-night tour and visited the islands of Uros, Amantaní, and Taquile. Everything was well organized, and the guide was very friendly and attentive. What I liked most was meeting a family on Amantaní and sharing in their customs and meals. We also really enjoyed the scenery and the cultural activities. Overall, I was satisfied with the service; it met my expectations. I recommend it.
The guide showed great respect and knowledge as he shared local traditions, and spending the night in Amantaní turned out to be an incredibly warm, authentic, and enriching experience. I recommend this tour one hundred percent to anyone looking to truly connect with the magic of the lake.
Really great tour — loved the reed houses and staying in homestead. Great food and friendly hosts Amazing scenery and enjoyable company Only downside was that the tour was supposed to be in both Spanish and English but the guide spoke 90% of the time in Spanish which meant that for a third of those on the tour who could only speak English they were not well informed Also the guide did not accompany the group on the walk up the mountain as we noticed all the other group’s guides did
I did the tour to Taquile and Amantaní with Planet Odysseys, and I truly enjoyed it; everything was well organized from the start, which made the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. The guide was kind and shared the local culture in a respectful and authentic way, and staying overnight in Amantaní was simple yet very meaningful. Overall, it felt like a genuine and peaceful experience that I would definitely recommend.
There are trips we remember… and then there are journeys that quietly move into our hearts and stay there forever. Mine at Lake Titicaca was exactly that. 🤍 I left with a little fear, I admit it. Traveling alone carries its own silence, its own questions, a soft uncertainty that settles in your chest. But from the very beginning, the personalized service of Planet Odysseys felt like a steady, reassuring hand. I was never truly alone. I felt supported, guided, and genuinely cared for every step of the way. And somewhere along the journey, something beautiful happened. I met wonderful people who arrived as strangers but, for a brief and magical moment, felt like family. We shared laughter, quiet reflections by the endless blue of the lake, and conversations that only happen when nature opens your soul wide. My heart especially stayed behind in Amantaní. There, Mrs. Irma and her husband Aquilino welcomed us not as guests, but as if we were returning home. Their warmth was comforting, their kindness sincere, their hospitality unforgettable. I recommend them with all my heart — it is rare to find people so genuine, so gentle, so full of light. The peace of the lake — a silence that doesn’t feel empty but healing — the breathtaking landscapes painted in shades of sky and water, the horizon where heaven seems to touch the earth… everything made my dream trip feel like a dream made real. I loved every moment. The cold wind against my face, the stars shining fiercely above Titicaca, even the goodbyes that carried a soft ache — because they meant something truly beautiful had taken place. Thank you for turning a simple journey into an unforgettable experience. Some memories are told… and others simply beat quietly within your heart. This is one of them. ✨
It was quite an immersive two day trip to three islands with a homestay with a local family. The tour was informative and the guide was very nice and accomodating. The price included transport from our hotel in Puno and back, all entrance fees and three meals along the trip. The visit to Uros floating islands were nice as we had the first hand experience of witnessing how the people lived there just minutes away from Puno. Our homestay was the highlight of the tour, the family was welcoming, although we had a bit trouble communicating with them as they only spoke Quechua, our guide helped us in translating and it was quite an authentic experience. We throughly enjoyed the Folkloric music festival that the community organised at night where we got to dress in a local attire and experience their dances. On day two, we visited Taquile Island which was yet another unique experience. Here we witnessed the local way of knitting and how the people have been carrying the tradition for generations. The lunch, overlooking the lake was very delicious, especially after a challenging uphill hike to the main square of Tquile Island. All in all, it was two incredible days we had on our trip to Peru and we highly recommend the tour and the tour company.
Our Wonderful Stay at Posada del Sol – Uros Islands, Lake Titicaca, Puno, Peru Our stay at Posada del Sol was nothing short of magical. The beautifully crafted studio cottage sits just feet from the waters of Lake Titicaca, with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that frames breathtaking views across the lake toward Puno’s softly illuminated hills at night. Waking to silence, light, and water was a rare gift; the early evenings as the town’s lights came alive, were captivating. The space was thoughtfully designed with Inca-inspired fabrics, original artwork, and ecological comforts, including a well-functioning composting toilet and hot shower. Meals were lovingly prepared and delivered to our room by our very attentive hosts—the authentic Peruvian breakfasts and dinners made us feel truly cared for. Rubén arrived promptly at the Port and welcomed us with his small, quite sea-worthy boat. As we headed off thru the tall grass lines channel, towards the Lake, he introduced us to the history and, revealed the ingenuity of the floating Uros Islands. When the channel ended and revealed Lake Titicaca, Ruben initiated a boat tour along the lake perimeter, revealing many ceremonial boats and neighboring Uros communities. It greatly deepened our appreciation for this remarkable community and culture. Every question was answered with kindness, every need met with ease. Thirty minutes later, we arrived at Ana/Ruben’s personal floating Uros island, known as Flamingo Island. Immediately, their 2 daughters greeted us in beautiful traditional dresses and big welcoming smiles. They all offered genuine warmth, grace, and insight into their ancestral way of life. Thereafter, we chose to linger, savoring the peace of Flamingo Island and our own enticing living quarters, rather than rushing off to nearby excursions. This was more than a stay—it was an immersion into a peaceful, sustainable lifestyle, rooted in heritage, community, and harmony with nature. We departed humbled, restored, and deeply grateful, having been so warmly cared for and embraced. We felt as thou we were leaving loving family behind & shall be forever grateful for having met Ana, Ruben & their delightful daughters.
The experience was beyond our expectations. The guide was extra attentive. One of our friends was using a cane because of a knee problem, and our guide arrange a motorcycle to help her climb to our host family house in Amantaní. Also, his knowledge was 10/10.
It was an incredibly enlightening and rewarding experience. The chance to learn about the local cultures and to see the beautiful scenery was excellent. The only problem was the boat.... the fumes from the exhaust continually came into the cabin. Blech! Not great at all. They really need to change the set up to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience on the boat...
A very postive experience on this two day tour with Planet Odysseys. We had a night stay wioth a local family which was truly an authentic experience and something that we will always rememeber. The guide was very kind and shared many useful information about the liufe of people on these islands. Highly recommended.
A great trip visiting 3 fascinating places. We loved the stay with a host family, so special. Great.
The two days was fantastic. Looking online this seemed to be the best way to experience Lake Titicaca. While it wasn’t perfect, it was close enough. I would recommend this to anyone. Experiencing Pachyama at Sunset, spending the night on Amantani Island, lunch the second day on Taquile Island, the time on the water, and swimming in Lake Titicaca were unforgettable.
Visiting Lake Titicaca was an unforgettable experience! It's one of the highest and largest lakes in the world, and being there, surrounded by such natural beauty, is truly breathtaking. The tour was amazing, especially getting to see the Uros people living on their floating islands. It's incredible how they’ve maintained their way of life for centuries. The views of the lake are stunning, with calm waters reflecting the snowy mountains in the distance. The people were so friendly and eager to share their history and traditions. It’s a place that makes you appreciate the simple yet remarkable ways of life that have endured for so long. If you're looking for a unique and authentic experience, Lake Titicaca is definitely worth visiting
I had an amazing experience on the 2-day Lake Titicaca tour! The visit to the floating Uros Islands was fascinating, and learning about the ancient traditions of the indigenous people was truly memorable. The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the boat ride was very relaxing. Highly recommend this tour if you're in Puno!
The 2 Day tour with planet odysseys was an amazing cultural experience, Taquile Island was beautiful and seeing the traditional textile work was inspiring.Amantani Island Was even more special ,as we got to stay with a local family Who treated us like their own, the views over lake Titicaca were stunning ,especially at sunrise, the guide were friendly, informative and made the experience feel authentic and respectful of the local People. If you want and real cultural adventure, I recomend this tour...
A very easy way to see 1 floating island and 2 'regular' islands. The guide was good in both English and Spanish. Great for local culture, birds, and fauna fans.
I recently took the full-day tour of Lake Titicaca, visiting the Uros and Taquile Islands, and it was an amazing experience! The day began with a boat ride to the floating islands of Uros, where we were welcomed by friendly locals who demonstrated how their islands are made entirely of reeds. It was fascinating to learn about their way of life and the traditions that have been passed down through generations. Next, we traveled to Taquile Island, where the views were absolutely stunning. The hike up to the village was a bit challenging but well worth it for the breathtaking scenery. We had the opportunity to interact with the locals, who shared their weaving techniques and culture with us. The lunch we enjoyed there, prepared with local ingredients, was delicious and added a wonderful touch to the experience.
Participating in the 2-day tour of Lake Titicaca was an unforgettable experience! The highlight for me was visiting the floating islands of Uros. Seeing how the locals live on these unique islands, made entirely of reeds, was fascinating. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and shared captivating stories about the culture and traditions of the indigenous people. What stood out was the breathtaking sunrise over the lake on the second day; it painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, creating a magical atmosphere. I also enjoyed the homestay on Taquile Island, where we learned about traditional weaving techniques from the locals. Their hospitality was heartwarming, and the homemade meals were a delightful treat. One tip for future travelers: be prepared for the altitude! Take it easy on the first day, and drink plenty of water. Overall, this tour is a must for anyone wanting to experience the beauty and culture of Lake Titicaca.
This tour of Lake Titicaca was an incredible experience. The floating islands of the Uros are super interesting, built entirely of totora, and the inhabitants were very kind explaining to us how they live there. In Amantaní, where we spent the night, the community treated us like at home, they prepared a delicious dinner for us and even invited us to a local party. In Taquile the local weavings are impressive and the walk to the viewpoint is worth it for the views of the lake. Tip: bring water and take your time because the altitude is noticeable. A 100% recommended tour to learn about another culture and enjoy incredible landscapes.
It was a great experience exploring the beauty of Lake Titicaca over two days. The stunning views and cultural insights made it unforgettable. Thank you, Planet Odysseys, for this amazing adventure!
The 2-day excursion to Lake Titicaca with Planet Odysseys is an absolute must! Exploring this breathtaking lake, straddling the Peru-Bolivia border, was incredible. Visiting the Uros islands and learning about the indigenous culture provided a unique and enriching experience. The stunning landscapes and peaceful atmosphere make it perfect for anyone seeking adventure and connection with nature. Highly recommended!
Exploring Lake Titicaca with Planet Odysseys is not just a tour, it is a transformative experience. The Planet Odysseys team not only guides you, but shares their genuine love for the place and its people. Furthermore, Planet Odysseys takes care of every detail, from logistics to the comfort of the trip, but what really stands out is its human approach. It is not just a tourist tour; it is an invitation to open your eyes and heart to the cultural and natural wealth that Lake Titicaca offers.
Beautiful tour with a good guide (Carlos?). Definitely worth spending the night on the lake so you get to see more. We climbed to the top of Amantani for sunset at Pachamama temple and I did it again for sunrise to see the other Pachatata temple. The only thing that differed from expectations is that I had to share a room and we were told we'd have private bedrooms. Be warned you may not have running water/shower/flushing toilet at the homestead. Lunch on the second day should be included in this tour for the price.
My boyfriend and I came on this trip and we absolutely loved it. A lot of people travelling Peru skip Puno - don't skip it and definitely don't miss out on this tour! This was one of our highlights of our trip so far. Our tour guide was Carlos who was brilliant - friendly, informative and professional. We were picked up from our hotel promptly and our boat ride was very pleasant. We made three stops on different islands. All were so interesting. We loved the floating islands and learning about life on them. Then our homestay on another island was excellent, we were made to feel so welcome by the host families and had some great experiences like local dancing in traditional attire and a walk to see the sunset. On the second day, we visited a third beautiful island and had lunch with a view. There were very few extra costs with this tour - just souvenir buying, tips (non obligatory but we felt everyone deserved them!) and a well priced lunch on the second day. So much is included on the tour. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks to Carlos and all the host families of the different islands for a fantastic experience.
My tour to Lake Titicaca was one of the best experiences I had in Peru. The organization was smooth, and our group was amazing. The homestay with the locals was outstanding; they were incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to our guide, Ruben, for the passion and love he puts into his job. He created a truly unique experience for all of us. His dedication and enthusiasm made the trip even more memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Peru!
This is one of the more unique tours my family and I have done. It was really cool to get to experience the culture in this region. Some have said that it's kind of a tourist trap so you buy things is a bit true, but that was just a tiny piece of that. Visiting the floating islands was crazy (the boat tour basically slowly takes you off the island like 20 feet and back and can be skipped - although they basically shuttle you right on it). We appreciated the demonstration on life and building the islands and my girls loved the puppy that lived there. I can't speak for anyone else, but our accommodations were very nice actually. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but my husband and I had a separate room from our kids and we had our own bathroom for our family. The view was amazing and our hostess and her family were great. We had a nice time at the party - great band, people were having fun dancing, great view of the stars outside. We didn't stay the whole time as the kids were tired, but we were happy we went. It was cool to wear the traditional outfits as well. The final island was okay. There really was no focus on weaving, although there was a store in the square. My family and I didn't eat the lunch as ours wasn't included and just grabbed some sandwiches in the square. We did enjoy the presentation in the restaurant explaining what some of the clothing details meant and other parts of daily life. Overall, we're glad we went. There were two guides - both informative (one a little gruff), and helpful.
This trip was amazing as a result of the homestay experience on Amantani island. The hospitality, the views and the traditional dancing were all unforgettable. Unfortunately, the less enjoyable part of the tour was being frequently sold to in what felt to be quite a transactional way. We all understand that communities benefit from tourist investments, but there are ways to manage this so, as a tourist, you don't feel that your tour guide's hand is constantly in your pocket. Do the tour - the homestay is phenomenal - but hopefully the operators will take the feedback on board. We'd happily have paid extra with monies being distributed to locals rather than endure the sales pitches.
I took this two day Lake Titicaca tour after a friend recommended this tour and the company to me. It was a perfectly planned and well organized tour. The tour company was very easy to reach and helped me a lot in planning the trip. The pickup was ontime and the guide was very knowledgable. The boat was spotless with a toilet inside. Everything was simply perfect. Hihgly recommend them.
Going in I expected something a bit different but in the end I had a wonderful time. Pack light, I did not I had a suitcase. There is walking and hiking in which I love but really no where to store things so you have to take them from point A to point B to Point C etc. Weather changes from hot, to cold, to rain. So prepare the proper clothing for those circumferences also bring Soles with you since everything is cash only and you're going to want to buy beautiful artisanal artifacts on the islands and if you want any additional food or drinks as well. There's also very limited charging for phones and no wifi and limited cell service. It's a great way to disconnect. Overall it's beautiful you learn a lot about agricultural, Incan tribes and traditions and you hike about 26 km in one day to the temples which is pretty awesome. Also prepare for altitude sickness so drink the tea and chew on the cocoa leaves.
I thought it was a very good tour. Ricardo our guid did an excellent job explaining things. I would have liked a warning in the tour description that we should have all our needs for the home stay in a small backpack because of a difficult walk to our houses. We had a large suitcase that we had to leave on the boat because it was to bulky to carry. We would have been better prepared if we had known. Otherwise a good tour.
These two days were one of my highlights of my trip to Peru! Visiting the Uros islands is an eye opening experience where you get the chance to connect with locals and exchange some priceless moments! The next stop allows you to sleep at the place of a local family where you taste local food and have a little hike to the Pachatata. The evening ends with a small party that the community organises. Everyone was so happy and dancing, we couldn’t stop smiling! The last day allows you to explore the Taquile island prior heading back to Puno. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’d like to get to know more about the local history, culture and lifestyle!
Unforgettable two days in Peru. Planet Odysseys were incredibly nice. The guide was very nice and spoke excellent English and had a very impressive skill of explaining things in detail. The tour included visits to three islands where we were introduced to three different ways of life and it was very nice and immersive experience. Highly recommend them and the tour.
The most beautiful experience in Peru, for us it climbs to the top position. Super guide, super locals, super experiences. It's worth coming all the way to Peru just for this.
I had a great experience traveling Lake Titicaca with Planet Odyssey! I booked my spot quite last minute and they were incredibly helpful. I arrived at the bus station in Puno from an overnight bus from Cusco and they went out of their way to help pick me up and take me to a partner hotel to freshen up and get ready for the day! Nancy was amazing as coordinating and helping, and not to mention incredibly friendly. As for the tour to Uros island, Isla Amantani and Taquile it was incredible. The home stay family was incredibly friendly and nice and so was the rest of the community around them. Our guide, Carlos and Walter were also top notch. The tour was in English and Spanish and they didn’t miss a beat. If you’re looking for a tour to visit the islands look no further and book now!! I hope to be able to come back some day!
An immersive trip to the enchanting Lake Titicaca with Planet Odysseys was very nice. We chose them after readin their reviews and were not disappointed a bit. They truly kept up to their quality of service. The islands we visited were all tucked away from Puno and the experience was quite authentic and the guide was very nice ahs knowledgeabl and also spoke good English. The homestay was very nice as the family demonstrated their daily way of life and also cooked some delicious local food. It is surely a must do in Peru.
Had a fantastic time on this trip. Carlos was an excellent guide and very conscious of everyone in his care. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was ok and spent time talking to everyone. He was very informative and knowledgeable. The trip to Uros islands felt a little rushed and false and we felt a little forced into buying their home made products but I guess this is the way they make their money so it's kind of understandable. The family we stayed with on Amantani, Luciana and his wife, were lovely and the food, although basic, was tasty. They made sure we were drinking cocoa leaf tea to help with mountain sickness. It was a whole new experience living in such basic accommodation but this made it all the more memorable for us. The last island, Tequile, was simply stunning! It almost felt like we were in the Mediterranean! Altogether a worthwhile trip and good value for the money. Thank you Carlos and Luciana for making it such a good trip!
Just returned from an unforgettable 2-day friends trip to Lake Titicaca. Every aspect of our adventure was meticulously planned, leaving us in awe of the breathtaking scenary and rich cultural experiences. A huge thanks to Planet Odysseys for making this trip a 5-star experience we will chrich forever.
I just cannot recommend them enough. the tour company was very attentive and prompt to respond to our queries. The guide spoke excellent English and very helpful. We visited many local communities and got an excellent insight into the local life, their traditions and culture. I highly recommend doing this tour in Puno.
Exceptional tour to the islands on Lake Titicaca. Planet Odysseys team went above and beyond in making this trip a memory of a lifetime. They were extremely helpful and attentive. The host family in Puno were very hospitable and kind. We really felt special and well treated by everyone we met during the tour. Highly recommend them and the tour.
We had a seamless experience with Planet Odysseus on our trip to Lake Titicaca. Their staff were very much attentive to details and the guide shared a wealth of information about the local traditions and culture. The coordination was very good and efficient. Highly recommend them.
We booked a 2 day tour and nobody ever contacted us. Nobody picked up the phone and their office address in the web doesn’t belong to them. Worst experience ever and about to report to police
Josecarlos was our guide and he was very kind! We had Farni as our mama on Amantani and enjoyed seeing a family's hut on the Uros island as well as the reed boat ride (my personal favorite out of this whole experience, it was quiet and you could hear many animals from the lake). Beautiful sunset after a horse ride up to Parchamama. Local traditions are quite intimate with nature. Homestay with Farni was very cute. I was grateful for the food they prepared and the dance they lead us to join. Taquile was interesting too (soap demonstration, weaving demonstration, traditional dance with tall hats) and the grilled trout there I had was the best on the entire trip. Bragging alert: we got multiple passport stamps from this trip across the islands (as well as Machu Picchu and Humantay lake). I stared at how people rolled wool with their spindle for long stretches of time and still could not figure it out. Fascinating!
Truly delightful trip to the islands on Lake Titicaca with Planet Odysseys. Our guide Ruben, was very nice and kind and was very keen on sharing information about local traditions and customs. Our homestay in Amantani was very positive experience as we got a detailed insight into the life and traditions of locals. Highly recommend the tour and the tour company.
An immersive two day tour to Lake Titicaca with Planet Odysseys. Their staff were very much engaging and always enquired if everyone in the group were doing well and were enjoying the trip. The guide had immense knowledge about the local civilization, andean mythology and also spoke good English. This was truly an expereince of a lifetime.
An insightful trip to three islands on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca and this is by far the best tour company we travelled with. They were easy to reach, gave us useful information and yes, wrote in perfect English and the guide and reservation team also spoke good English. The homestay on Amantani Island was super nice and the family were welcoming and friendly. The boat ride on the second half of the first day was somewhat long but the views were very nice and we took a nice nap under the basking sun of the Andes. We are very happy to take home the memories of the two incredible days we had with them on this tour.
Planet Odysseys provided an unforgettable overnight trip to Lake Titicaca with a homestay on Amantani Island. their excellent organization, along with rich cultural exchange, made it truly an immersive experience. The stunning beauty of the lake and thw warmth of the island community will stay with us forever. Planet Odysseys delivered an incredible journey that exceeded all expectations.
Our two day tour with Planet Odysseys was an absolute delight! The vastness and tranquilityh of the lake, combined with the richness of the local culture, made for a remarkable journey. Planet Odysseys team was superb from start to finish. The guides were knowledgable, courteous, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the lake´s floating islands of Uros and the timeless beauty of Amantani and Taquile islands. The homestay on Amantani Island was a unique and a heartwarming experience. We were welcomed by a local family who showed us their customs, cooked traditional meals, and made us feel like a part of their community. One of the main highlights was watching the sunset from the top of the Island, with panoramic views of the stunning Lake Titicaca. It is a moment i will cherish forever. Transportation was comfortable and reliable, and the organisation of the tour was impeccable. Planet Odysseys really put the care and effort into ensuring we got the most out of our time. If you wish to truly experience the magic of Lake Titicaca and gain insight into the lives of the people, I highly recommend taking this two day tour with Planet Odysseys. It was an unforgettable adventure.
We booked the Lake Titicaca Tour 2 days and no one has appeared! We called several times as did our hotel and no one answered! It's disrespectful because we're only going to stay in Puno for 2 days and we've lost the opportunity to do something we really wanted! This kind of travel we do once in life! They responded too late, with meaningless apologies. They returned the money but never compensated all the costs we had due to Paypal fees and credit cards. The only good thing they did was propose a free day tour for the next day to compensate. In this case, we were the ones who did not accept it because we were afraid that they would fail again and we would definitely lose the opportunity to have at least part of this experience.
