We had the best trip to Costa Rica and a fantastic stay at La Cameleon! The rooms were so clean, comfortable and connected to nature. We loved laying on the private patio at night and listening to the sounds of the jungle. The staff was so friendly and kind. Melody and Diego gave us such wonderful food recommendations and even helped me know what to wear for nights out! Cindy and the rest of the front desk team were so helpful with every request we had. Truly a wonderful experience and we can't wait to visit again! Gracias La Cameleon -- you're the best!

We stayed 12 nights with our one year old and had a king size bed room in the upper floor - especially with a walking Smurf something to recommend. The stay was really a treat and a wholesome experience. The hospitality of the staff was on point. Never too less never too much. They let us heat up the baby food at their microwave and knew which questions to ask. My wife got a nice surprise for her birthday and even the small one a piece of cake (which my wife ate) ;) Another amazing thing is the yoga instructor. She easily switches from Spanish to English while her classes. The classes are also included in the stay. She has a good eye to tickle out the pain (with a smile). One thing that could be improved is the gym, but that’s just maybe me, as I am not sure how many people do use it. Also the roofed pool lounges could be improved so that when it’s raining it would be still dry at them, as the cushions and the pillows were wet. Two minor things that will not change the superior quality and experience we enjoyed.
We went to have lunch there and it was very quiet. We enjoyed the view to the garden and the sea. And as background good music. The pizza is delicious, as well as the mojito. It was my birthday and they send me a birthday cake! Lovely gesture. Great service. I'd come back!
We had an amazing time at Le Cameleon! The staff ( Specifically Briedy and Diego) went above and beyond to help us navigate puerto Viejo and share all the great spots. This hotel is such a great location in between the little beach towns. You can get around easily by asking the staff to call a tuk tuk to go into the town center or where else you wanted to go , make sure you agree on the price before you leave. Another day we rented atvs (the shop was right across the street from the hotel) for the day and we were able to drive ourselves to the jaguar rescue center (also walkable from the hotel) and down to punta uva. The hotel also has a beautiful restaurant with a breakfast included each morning. We also enjoyed a couple days of morning yoga through the hotel. Definitely recommend taking the yoga class it is a great experience. We also enjoyed a massage through the hotel and it was also amazing!! Everything overall was fantastic!! The atmosphere was immaculate. The only issue we had was that there was construction going on the entire time we were there and the room walls are very thin so you could hear other people walking down the hall and the construction. Then again we were on vacation and we didn’t mind.
My family and I had a great time during Easter week at Le Cameleon. Making the reservation was very easy via WhatsApp. The staff provided excellent customer service and were friendly, responsive and very helpful. Having the breakfast included was a major plus! We also enjoyed lunch and dinner there and all the food items and drinks were great and delicious. The boutique hotel is very stylish, with their all-white furniture and decor. The pool areas were also very stylish and comfortable. The hotel is also kid-friendly, my 8 year old niece didn’t want to leave the pool! The only 2 things I would critique are: 1. the ramps/trails that connect the different buildings and amenities. They’re made of wood and there are no railings. The trails become very slippery when it rains, and in the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica it rains very frequently, so that could be a safety concern, and 2. the bathrooms lacked proper ventilation to handle the high levels of humidity in the environment. Nonetheless, the location of the hotel is ideal, with lots of great beaches, attractions and restaurants nearby. All in all, I think it was good value for the money and I would stay here again!
