We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed the wonderful location with volcano views, great food and extremely helpful staff. If we ever went back to a place twice this would be on my top 10. Food is exceptional and normal large Chilean portions. A great hotel.

Our stay at Hotel AWA was truly unforgettable. The staff was wonderful from beginning to end — warm, attentive, and always ready to help make our experience special. We loved being able to kayak on the lake, enjoy the incredible food, and relax at the spa with amazing massages. One of our favorite memories was using the hotel’s bikes to ride around the area and explore the beautiful surroundings. When we got a flat tire during one of our rides, the team immediately came to pick us up without hesitation, which perfectly reflects the level of care and hospitality they provide. AWA combines luxury, adventure, relaxation, and genuine kindness in a way that made our time in Puerto Varas incredibly memorable. We cannot wait to return.
We stayed in January 2026 and absolutely loved our stay here. It was beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and by far the best food of our time in Chile. All of the grounds smell so fresh and incredible, fresh flowers everywhere. In our experience, the hotel staff was lovely - very warm, kind, and sincere. We also loved our guides that took us on all the expeditions. Rafting was also an absolute must, such beautiful scenery and fun guides. Sitting out on the loungers at the beach at the hotel, taking out a kayak, it’s all wonderful. We would love to come back. There were no screaming kids anywhere, which we greatly appreciated as we experienced that at some other properties and it ruined the experience. Constructive feedback would be to expand the menu if possible (we loved everything we ate, and greatly appreciated the very high quality and freshness of it all, but after 3-4 days you tire a little bit of eating the same things over and over - but at the same time the food is so good as is so it’s great to be able to eat it over and over haha). We also found the food service to be pretty slow, but that could just be because everything is so fresh which I would rather have than faster service personally. We also opened our window one evening and a LOT of small gnats flew in, so trying to control that would be helpful (or putting a small note that warns against opening the windows). Other thing to consider (as with anywhere) - I can see how the experience would be a lot different if the weather was bad (we had one cloudy day and I was shocked when I opened the window and the volcano had disappeared! Hah). So I would recommend booking a long enough stay such that you have higher chances of getting at least a couple great weather days
Amazing farm to table food, great views andoverall awesome property. The staff was very helpful and nice. They also give me a welcome gift (fruits and brownies) because i checked in late after driving from the airport. My only negative point is that there was a massive storm and it rained inside my room. When i mentionned it they just came with a bucket, so i heard the rain drops all night long. The price you pay, i would have hope to be relocated. A part from that it was a great stay!
I am not entirely sure this property meets an international five-star standard. Some expected amenities were not readily available and had to be requested multiple times. The professionalism of the staff was inconsistent. While some team members were excellent and attentive, others appeared disengaged and indifferent. The rooms were smaller than expected and did not feel particularly well maintained. This may have been an average experience, but it did not align with the expectations set by the hotel’s positioning. Bed was not comfortable, made noise and bounces when your partner turns in bed. !!!!!! Guests with food allergies should be cautious. Although allergies were noted upon arrival, I was still served a risotto containing fava beans. Fortunately, a few unblended beans were visible, which prevented me from eating the dish. !!!!! The food quality itself is good; however, breakfast service was slow. Each morning, there was approximately a 30-minute wait for egg orders, which is surprising for a hotel with only around 20 rooms. Additionally, although our stay was all-inclusive at checkout, we were presented with a receipt indicating the amount of tip we were expected to leave. Being effectively forced to leave a tip in an all-inclusive setting puts guests in an awkward and uncomfortable position and does not align with the experience we expected. Given the scale of the property and the level of service provided, I would not consider this hotel to be in the category of Leading Hotels of the World. (Especially with such reckless approach to food allergies)
