Excellent tour and food was authentic and very tasty. Ice cream on last stop was underwhelming. Tour guide was excellent and engaged everyone very nicely. I believe his name was Macho??? Only recommendation would be to have a small glass of water at each location to accompany the tasting.
My husband and I were SUPER impressed with this tour! Our Tour Guide Miel has an incredible amount of knowledge about the culture and history of sooooo many awesome things about the evolution of Mexico's food and Peurto Vallarta's food culture evolution! I liked learning from her as much as the delicious food. We had so much fun going to different places to try different delicious dishes. When I mentioned to Miel that I don't eat beef or pork Miel made adjustments to the different places we went and we had some amazing tacos with seafood. I wish I let Miel know this ahead of time so she didn't have to make last minute adjustments, but she went above and beyond the day of and I had some tacos that were my all time favorite. If you have a question about certain foods, meats, sauces, spices, taste profiles, Miel has an answer - for real! Miel's hospitality and knowledge made this tour so enjoyable. We definitely would do it again - we 100% recommend. Thank you Miel for an amazing experience!

We had a wonderful taco tour with Joana. She was friendly, inviting and informative. The food and drinks were authentic and incredibly tasty. And we got to explore a bit of the town while walking between destinations. The food and the environment felt totally safe, no sign of the troubles that marked the end of February. Highly recommended!
We did the Ultimate Taco Tour in Versailles. Pro tip... don't eat breakfast before you go.. LOL.. The tour was excellent. Our guide Bernardo was knowledgeable and also shared lots of fun facts about the trees and plants we went by. The portions are more than generous and all delicious. This is my second tour this year and I look forward to another tour next year.
Edgar was great! Friendly but not overbearing, happy to share his knowledge and experience. We really enjoyed the variety of foods and appreciated that dietary restrictions could be followed.

Maho was an amazing guide for our Puerto Vallarta Food Tour. He led our group of 11 people to 10 different stops! Our tour lasted over 4 hours but time flew by. We tasted chilaquiles, so many different kinds of tacos, and shots of tequila. We could sample as much as we wanted and I left the tour satisfied but not overly stuffed. He's super energetic and engaging with both the tour group and the establishment owners. It's exceptionally fun when the owners are his friends. Great vibes. Highly recommend. My fave taco was at Taquería el Cuñado.

Each taco stop had something unique — from crispy pork rind tacos to carne asada, birria, and other regional favorites — plus refreshing cantaritos and cocktails along the way. I originally wanted more tacos at the first stop, but I’m glad the tour was paced to one taco per place because I was completely stuffed by the end! Bernardo also shared bits of local history and even pointed out native plants and vegetation during our walk, which made it feel much more than just a food tour.

This food tour was probably the best food tour we have ever been on and we have been on quite a few! Silvia was our tour guide and she was so informative, fun, and knowledgeable! We went to I think 8 different types of Taco Restaurants. Each having its own style and flavor of Taco's. She was so informative of the area and all of the restaurants. We were a group of 6 family and lifelong friends that did this tour together and Silvia did a great job taking care of us all and visiting with each one of us. I so so so recommend this tour and appreciate that Vallarta Tours was able to accommodate an early tour start time since our ship was leaving early in the afternoon. This is a great company with excellent communication and information. Don't miss this tour!!

This was without a doubt the highlight of our Puerto Vallarta experience. Our guide Manu was amazing - knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. He orchestrated the tour seamlessly including accommodating our son’s allergies without a hiccup. We recommend doing this tour early in your trip so you can go back to the places manu recommend
We’ve taken all but a couple of the tours that Vallarta Food Tours offers and our latest one, the Versalles taco tour, was another hit. In addition to enjoying a great variety of foods, we learned a lot about Mexican culture, the families that own the restaurants, and the foods themselves from our guide, Miel. We look forward to taking another tour with Vallarta Food Tours next year.

Amazing food and amazing scenery! 100% recommend Edger, he was an amazing tour guide! This walking tour takes you through town. We ate at place not only delicious but felt like they were hidden gems. Accommodating to gluten free. We got the drink package and would recommend! Wear comfortable shoes and eat a small breakfast before. Our toddler loved the food but not all streets are stroller friendly due to the cobblestone roads and lacks of sidewalks on some. (Not the tours fault)

It was a laid-back really fun time exploring new things and learning about new tastes. I live in Tex-Mex country and we have all kinds of tacos but I learned a lot and that was really cool. The flavors were wonderful. Sylvia and Michael (?, trainee) were wonderful and made the trip a blast
We’re no strangers to Puerto Vallarta and did an Old Town Taco Tour a couple of years ago, but we were out of touch with the up-and-coming colonia of Versalles so decided to take an organised tour. Our guide Bernardo was prompt and personable, hugely knowledgeable about Vallarta as a whole and very familiar with the taco scene in Versalles, including the history of the restaurants and people. It’s clear he’s well known and loved in the neighbourhood. He also gave us an education in the plants and trees as we walked around - very impressive knowledge! We visited a variety of places and sampled a wide range of tacos, including shrimp, smoked marlin, pork belly, beef, chicken and pork gorditas, finishing with amazing raw tuna tacos. Great tour, highly recommended.
