Tons of fun! The experience was amazing, the price was a bargain. For everything we saw and did it was a tremendous “bang for the buck “. Make sure you know how to drive a manual transmission (clutch) vehicle. Bring insect repellent for the Botanical Gardens. The drive was beautiful, the Botanical Gardens were lovely (I got eaten alive by bugs) the view from the souvenir market/viewpoint was magical. The tequila tasting was an eye opener (never a tequila fan, but now I at least understand). The boat ride/snorkeling from Mismaloya was amazing! Any two of these activities would have been worth the $149. If you’ve ever driven a manual transmission Volkswagen Beetle, the experience is helpful. The guide was impressed that I knew how to throw it in reverse.

This was an amazing experience!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Be sure you advise in advance if you will need a driver as we did because I hadn’t driven a stick in over 30 years.

This day is a fun outing with a great Team headed by Christian. You have a chance to explore different parts of town and the coast and Christian goes up ahead and picks out different spots to take pictures of the riders. We stopped at a Tequila factory and had a great lunch on the water. Unfortunately the seas were too rough so the boat ride got aborted. We also stopped at the Botanical Garden which is amazing and deserves more than an hour - it's worth a separate visit. We felt very cared for, the weather was great and we had some good laughs. A couple of things to be aware of to make your trip more pleasant. The cars are older and require a driver with good strength to maneuver the stick shift and wearing a buff might be helpful for the fumes which can be unpleasant on and off. Also wear lots of mosquito spray before you get to the botanical garden, we got eaten up and sprayed ourselves too late. Hopefully these few notes will help. My husband and I were the only passengers that day so we had a private tour which was fun too. Thanks Christian and gang!!!

We had a great time on this tour. The Sun Buggy is a cute vehicle. It was much easier to view the surroundings than in a tour van or bus. Chistian was an excellent guide and his 2 employees certainly helped. At each stop they would move the cars around so we were ready to head to the next location. We really enjoyed going to the Botanical Garden. We love seeing (what for us are house plants) the tropical plants growing where they should. Seei ng Los Arcos from the road and then up close on a boat was fun. The tequila tasting is always interesting. Lunch was excellent. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.

Funnest trip & Exceeded our expectations! We got to the location in Puerto Vallarta which is a couple blocks north of the beach & met our tour guide Christian. He let us choose our buggy & then we filled out the required papers until the departure time; the office was very clean & had Air conditioning & Banos. After the others arrived Christian gave us a "Safety Brief " so we would know what when & how to keep the group together. Once we started out, the Fun began; our itinerary was Perfect! It was a full day & once outside of the city, the roads were very twisty which made the drive very entertaining. Our 1st stop was short & overlooked the ocean and then onto the next stop which was a Botanical garden; the Time flew by. The next stop was for a Tasting & tour of a local distillery which was very refreshing. We had lunch next & the food was delicious. Our final stop was a chance to get out on the water for swimming/snorkeling. It was an Amazing Day. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I will tell anyone to YES, go to SunBuggy for your Tour!!

Make sure you have money for shopping and the flea market, tipping and drinks at the restaurant and botanical gardens. And of course the friendly fun tours guides. Wear your sunscreen and glasses.

The 4 of us had a blast! Highly recommended! Make sure there is at least one in your group that can drive a standard transmission. No complaints, everything about this trip was awesome! The Botanical Gardens, the Tequila Tasting, Lunch, and Snorkeling. Chris was the best leader with great energy. There were 7 other cars and everyone had fun.

We booked this tour for our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and were arriving via cruise ship so our time in port was limited. Our trip was also shortly after the cartel violence, so we were a bit nervous to begin with however the tour guides were very friendly and helpful and at no time did we feel unsafe. The botanical gardens were beautiful; the tequila tasting was delicious - definitely try the chocolate! The restaurant food was amazing and fresh and the terrace had a beautiful view of the ocean. Snorkeling was fun; we saw a lot of colorful fish and the captain took us past the site of the film Blue Iguana. The captain had his two young sons on board helping and learning the business. In fact, every stop was family owned and run (except the botanical gardens.) Overall, the cost of the trip is well worth the tour value and the chance to see old town PV and some of the countryside in such a short time was priceless. Book it - you won't be sorry!

This tour was so much fun! The cars are super fun and make for a nice breeze in this hot weather. The guides are super friendly, helpful, good energy! The stops are great. We really enjoyed the Botanical Garden and the food at the lunch stop was delicious and the view was amazing! We went out on the boat ride to Los Arcos and that was great. We could see the fish from the boat. This tour is a great way to see and experience PV! We had a really fun day!

We had an amazing time riding the buggy around town, the lunch was delicious and snorkeling was fun, it was our first time snorkeling and I highly recommend them. Great tour guide too.

Christian and his crew did a wonderful job of making us feel welcomed and comfortable riding these fun Sun Buggies. They are not like driving a cadaliac, but wind in your hair driving the city and country streets, they are sooooo much fun. The designated stops were wonderful with just the right amount of time at each. the pictures we bought were AMAZING, not just us on the buggy but candid shots all around our tour, the snorkeling was amazing, almost as good as some scuba dives I've been on Christian was very personable and made the trip memoriable

My wife and I booked this tour and by far the best tour and bang for your buck you will ever get. Staff were professional and very friendly, the lunch was 10/10. We left at 10 am and didn't get back til 4. The entire day was the best! Thank-you sun buggy tours, you guys are the best, we will be back Cheers!

This was an awesome 5.5 hour tour that included the Botanical Gardens, Tequilla Factory/tasting, seaside lunch, and a short boat/snorkeling trip! Chris was an great guide and led us throughout the day. The cars ran mostly OK, if there were any issues they have a mechanic in trail to remedy the situation. You'll spend a few minutes at a roadside trinket stand...of course. Then there's about an hour to walk the Botanical Gardens, about 45 mins at the Tequilla Factory, roughly and hour for lunch, and finish with a 45 min boat ride. Navigating through the PVR downtown traffic can be nerve wracking at times, so be careful! This is not an off-roading adventure. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!

This was the funnest tour I did. Being able to drive around town in the buggys was a hit. Each stop to learn about the town was informative. Make sure you know how to drive stick shift.

This was an amazing tour. We were lucky to be the only ones who had booked for the day so we got a private VIP tour with our guide Mario who drove us around pv. We got to go to the amazing botanical gardens as well as the tequila factory. We were then taken to Ms maloya Beach where we had some amazing lunch on the beach and then had a boat ride to Los arcos and went for a swim. It was an amazing experience and we would totally do it again. Unfortunately at the end of the ride back to town the buggy broke down but luckily there was another one there that we just swapped into real quick and made our way back to town. All in all this is a very fun tour and well worth the time and money. Would totally do it again.!

Absolutely terrific. So much fun. Mario was a great guide and the back up team were a lot of fun, too. The tequila tasting was much better than expected and I came home with 3 bottles and I never liked it before. The boat ride was a special trip around Los Arcos. The botanical garden was beautiful. The whole day was wonderful.

This was an Awesome trip! Our guides Chrystian and Mario Cuba were great! Very organized, entire day ran smoothly! All designated stops were great! Botanical garden was beautiful. Tequila stop was fun and enjoyable. Loved the beach and boat ride too! Definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this fun filled day. Started at 9:30 back around 4:30 .

Our family booked the sunbuggy tour to do during the week. We had a fabulous time on the sunbuggy and seeing the beautiful landscape of Puerto Vallarta. The tour guides were knowledgable, funny, and entertaining for the duration of the tour. Thank you for a fun experience!

We all 100 percent recommend this tour. Mario was amazing! He made the day so much fun! We had a smaller group and everyone checked in early, so we left about 945am and I believe we returned about 430pm, so it is definitely a full day! The first stop of our tour was at a roadside booth with multiple vendors where we were told to have the Mexican Breakfast (aka Coronitas) so bring some pesos/dollars to partake it that ;), then Mario took photos of everyone in front of Los Arcos while at that stop. They do ask you to email them after the tour and they send a Dropbox with the photos (we received them week after the tour 🎉). From there, we went to the Botanical Gardens, which was so beautiful. We walked down to the river and waded a bit through the rocks, checked out the different houses (succulent/cactus and orchid) and the Vanilla Plantation. There is a gift shop here as well as a bar/restaurant. Next stop was the Tequila Tasting - very low pressure sales - tequila was very good though. After that, it was off to the beach area where we all had lunch together. Mario takes your food order before you leave from the tequila tasting. Some of the options were fajitas, quesadillas, burger, chile relleno. Plus, he ordered guacamole for the table. The food was good. You can order drinks on your own tab when you arrive at the restaurant. After lunch we were able to choose between a boat ride (snorkel off boat is optional and included) or lounging on the beach, where you could continue with table service beverages if you so wished. We opted for the boat ride, which was so neat. We were able to see manta and sting rays in one of the Arcos. We learned about the area and did a little snorkeling in a roped off area. Life jackets, snorkels and masks are provided for snorkeling. Then it was a nice ride straight back to the starting point. I do have to say, I booked direct on their website but I was a little leery if our reservation was totally accepted because once payment is submitted it just says “Thank you. Your order has been received.” - there was no email/text follow-up with a confirmation or additional information. Then, I wasn’t 100 percent sure where we started, I couldn’t find that information on their website. I did email about that, but didn’t receive an email back. But we arrived at Calle Columbia 1324 5 de Decembre - which was the contact information on their website (and now I see if here on TripAdvisor) and it was the right location, thankfully! I would recommend this tour over and over again - it was a fun day out and so neat to see other parts of Puerto Vallarta. Mario is a gem of a human and we enjoyed our time with him.

A must do when in the area! Wether you are in Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta, or anywhere in between this tour is a MUST do!!

other travellers should know that it’s a really good experience and all the excursions are good but the buggies frequently break down and the engines are kind of old and it’s very rusty so it’s also a stick shift. They’re personally very hard to drive but I think it’s a good experience if you get a driver.

A great way to spend a day seeing the sights and experiencing some of the local cultures. The Buggys are a bit older but the tour team is amazing and will ensure you get where you need to go and have a great time! The Buggys are a bit loud but didn’t take away from the experience in my opinion.

This was so much fun. A great way to see PV. Stops at the botanical gardens and tequila tasting were great. Finished off with a great lunch at Mismaloya beach. Would recommend this for everyone visiting PV.

We went on the Sun Buggy tour on March 18th - and it was an awesome day and a fun way to see PV! It is a great value and includes EVERYTHING! The guys who ran the tour - Christian and Mario the photographer were personable, helpful, and FUN! I highly recommend this excursion as an amazing way to get to the South side of the bay and get off the beaten path! The buggies are FUN and make everyone smile who sees the caravan coming down the road!

Fantastic experience, we will definitely do again. We loved everything from the sun buggies,the botanical garden was beautiful, tequila tasting was a lot of fun!!!! Overall it was AWESOME

My husband and I were on the tour yesterday. The first part of the tour was good except for the horrible gas smell from the buggies. But the second half was irresponsible. The lunch included was awful. The only bathroom facility also doubled as a changing room with horribly dirty floors and having to measure out enough toilet paper BEFORE going into the bathroom! Then, to top it off, we were put on a boat to snorkel with seas too rough to do so. CHILDREN were having a difficult time, as was my husband and I, getting back to the boat. The CAPTAIN of the boat seemed clueless, and he should have NEVER taken us out there. In addition, the seas were so rough you could not see anything. It took 2 men, fellow passengers, to get us on the boat. The captains assistant was too busy in the water trying to find a fish to bring on board, and the captain was having such a hard time keeping the boat in his control. If anything had happened to us or those kids it would have been awful. My suggestion to Sun Buggies is to find a better lunch spot and let people shop or rest on the beach and don't do the snorkel trip ever again. Also, warn people about the exhaust fumes because they are strong and I had a headache an hour into it. The Sun Buggie folks seem to be good people but miss the health and safety issues that should be front and center.

We had so much fun. It was a once in lifetime experience that we will have memories that will last a lifetime. I would do it again. Mario was amazing and a lifesaver. There whole team is amazing.

An excellent tour well worth the money! They even give you pictures for free. We are looking at booking next year with friends as was so much fun. Well organized and at your stops can be as busy as you want or chill and relax.

Incredible experience. I have been a tourist in 5 continents and 30+ countries and this experience is in my top 3 of all time. #1 in value for sure. The guides were incredible, the sights were beautiful, the buggy’s were a vibe, and the tequila was tasty. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting PV.

Great tour, stops at the botanical gardens, tequila factory, great lunch at a beach front restaurant, and snorkelling/boating at Los Arcos. Christian, and Mario “the paparazzi” were great hosts. I love that all of the pictures(quite a few) are included that Mario took.

This is the second time we’ve done this tour and again, it was a 10/10. The buggys are fun and the guys who ran the tour are fun, professional and safety conscious. All the stops were great and well organized. Highly recommend for anyone, even families. You just need to drive a standard. We will certainly do it again when we are back in town.

We had an excellent experience on the tour. This is our second time taking the trip. We went to four different places, botanical gardens, tequila factory, lunch, snorkelling, boat trip and then make our way back to the yard where we finished our tour. The best part was through throughout the tour they took pictures and they were free of charge at the end of our trip. The pictures were emailed to us.

We had the most amazing day at Puerto Vallarta because of Sun Buggy Tours! Our guide was Christian and he was outgoing, fun, positive, happy and made the day great making sure we were having a good time. The photographer was Mario and he was amazing, his incredibly funny, takes many photos throughout your day and has fun with you! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone and anyone! Great for all ages and they catered to us as we were coming off the cruise ship for the day. If you do one thing in Puerto Vallarta make sure its this tour!!!

This trip was absolutely amazing! Chris was our tour guide and Mario was our photographer! It was so much fun to be in the buggy! My husband and I lucked put big time and it was just the 4 of us! The botanical garden was absolutely stunning! Was amazing to see all the different plants! Got to see a beautiful peacock, some tortoises, and some cool turkeys! Mario took some absolutely stunning secret photos of us in the garden! We then toured to the tequila factory where we did some delicious shots of tequila! (I'm not a drinker but they were really good!) Hearing and seeing how tequila is made by the family was incredible! Again Mario took some amazing photos! We bought a few bottles of tequila to take home with us! Got to see some chickens and roosters just running on the road! Was really cool to experience! We then went and had an amazing lunch on the beach, before a super cool boat ride to a snorkeling spot where we went snorkeling for about half hour, we then got to go to the island of the iguana, my husband did a 6 meter cliff jump! Our tour date we December 18th 2024!!! Thank you again for an amazing experience!!!
