Wonderful experience. Captain and tour guide very polite and knowledgeable. Very friendly. Water is BEAUTIFUL.
I went on this tour but had to upgrade in the middle of the tour to include the hidden beach. It turned out that our boat had some people like me that just wanted snorkeling but others doing the hidden beach experience. I thought they are separate boats but they hey just put everyone together. So non hidden beach people have to sit on the hot boat for 45 minutes and wait until their hidden beach boat mates do their experience. We paid for the upgrade whem the boat parked and we learned how this works. It was fun but I feel sorry for people who just want to snorkel. BOTTOM LINE: just pay the extra money for the full tour that includes hidden beach otherwise you’ll be stuck watching other people have all the fun.
We had such a great experience on this boat tour with our whole family, including our 3 and 4 year old and grandparents! The crew was wonderful and made everyone feel comfortable and safe from start to finish. We loved getting to see the islands, swim over to a little beach, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. There was some higher swell during part of the trip, but the guides handled the boat incredibly well and were so attentive helping the kids safely get to and from the beach. It ended up being the perfect first boat experience for our kids and made for such a fun family memory. Highly recommend!
We had a really nice day and saw a lot of whales! Skipping the hidden beach made the price point more accessible, and while waiting for others to finish at the hidden beach, we actually saw plenty of whales and the boat captain made sure he swam close enough for us to see them. I would totally recommend!
Great trip to the Marietas and we got a really good feel for the islands and its biodiversity. Ruben and his shipmate Chuey were great and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable.
There were four of us on this tour and what a treat! On the way out to the islands we stopped to watch whales teaching their calves how to jump out of the water, it was incredible being so close to these magnificent creatures. After getting some great videos, we continued to the islands and toured around them before heading to the snorkel spot. We did not go through the tunnel to the hidden beach, as we have done that before and our friends were not keen on swimming in deep water. Our guide Mauricio was very friendly and knowledgeable, and stayed close by while we snorkelled for about 45 - 60 minutes. The ride back was about 15-20 minutes, all in was about 3 hours. I definitely recommend this smaller group excursion.
This was a wonderful tour! We saw 6 humpback whales on the way out to the islands and the guys were great about stopping to watch and photo these amazing creatures… they were so close to us! The snorkeling was great. We saw so many beautiful species of fish. We then stopped at a beautiful beach which was lovely. Our guides were excellent. Just the the best few hours… this tour is great!! Do it!
Fabulous day. The captain handled the boat well, the first mate was kind, funny and accommodating. The sites were incredible and whales paid us a visit so we got a bonus whale watch too! Highly recommend!
Excellent all around . We saw a pod of whales fighting and breaching. Guys were great !
Amazing experience! Small boat (gave it a more private feel!) and got to experience lots of nature without the big crowd. Thanks Ruben for being an amazing guide (and taking nice photos of us as well). Would definitely recommend this trip!
We had a wonderful time. The islands are gorgeous with really cold birds, caves and rock formations. Chui and Ruben were awesome guides.
Great tour the water was exceptionally clear. Tour guides Johnny and Jesus were great . One thing Viator should recommend is to wear a long sleeve t shirt, since sunscreen is not allowed.
We loved our tour of marietas especially whale watching up close! Ruben great guide! Snorkeling, nopalera beach visit
Great tour. The guides were excellent and very friendly. Snorkeling was good but water was a bit murky. Got to see whales as a bonus.
Exactly what we were looking for! There are lots of options in terms of boat tours but we prefer a more authentic experience that focuses on nature and beauty and less emphasis on booze and jokes. This was perfect. Ruben and his crewman were wonderful. Supportive, knowledgeable and very helpful. They took us to see a bit of whale watching, stopping and lowering the motor respectfully for the whales, then we went to hidden beach, and then on to snorkeling. At all times, Ruben was helpful. We got to appreciate the experience nature with a small boar and small group of nice people. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful tour of the Marieta Islands. The snorkelling was amazing with clear water and beautiful fish to see. Our guide and driver were great. They were informative and fun. They found whales for us to see in a way that was not intrusive to those beautiful creatures but gave us an amazing view.
Great way to explore the Marietta’s islands. Small personal tour with friendly guides! The whales made an impressive show.
We saw a ton of humpback whales and dolphins. The Islands were beautiful and the beaches quaint. Our captain gave us lots of good information about the area that made the experience enjoyable.
We had a great time aboard our boat with Ruben and Chewy. We took our two school-aged kids and everything went very seamlessly and on time, and they were great with the kids. We weren't able to snorkle due to the water conditions, but they had back-up plans that included going onto a gorgeous beach and whale watching, and it still made for an awesome day. This was such a great alternative to the 7 hour excursion offered by another company through our resort. It was small and personalized to what the small group on the boat wanted to do.
This was a blast. If you’re wanting to do something different, this is for you. We were whale watching and we were lucky enough to see many. We enjoyed our time on the boat.
A great trip to the Marietas! We saw large pods of humpback whales up close and personal (very personal) Snorkling and swimming are accommodated but the whale watching was the apex of the tour.
I was quite disappointed. We were asked to take an earlier tour and there was really no communication that the guide and other couple was also going to the secret beach (we were not). As a result we just sat in the boat for 30 minutes waiting for the other party to come back. The snorkeling was about 20 minutes and then we rode out to see the rest of the islands. I would look for a different tour operator.
The tour was quite cool, it is exactly as described going around Islas Marietas, doing some snorkeling and then going to "Playa Nopalera". The guide was very friendly and informative about the islands and the fauna and flora from the region. He was also helpful and provide good assistance during the snorkeling.
Great trip - our boat captain and his assistant Reuben were both extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to the captain for his awesome boat handling skills! He took us all around the islands showing us cool caves and features before snorkeling, and after snorkeling dropped us at a small beach that we could explore. I was worried the snorkeling wouldn’t be great but it was actually awesome - very clear water and lots of fishes. Planning on going a second time before our trip ends!
Great trip out to the islands and NP. Snorkeling was very good and seeing several humpback whales on the way back was even better!
Beautiful island visit and snorkeling activity, several whales were seen during our crossing. The guide and boatmaster were great!
Great tour accompanied by very good guides, great trip to spend the day in Punta de Mita, excellent price for everything you do and beautiful views get
Our visit to Marietas was excellent, the guys who took us were magnificent guides, they had the patience to explain to us and give us time to take photos, the service was punctual and they were always attentive to our safety, without a doubt an excellent service.
Johny, an excellent guide, just like the captain, attentive and careful. with the people we went and very friendly. The excellent tour was worth it.
Excellent ride, very familiar and friendly. The guys were super friendly, they explained super well and the care and attention was great. Thank you for saving us that day, we thought it was late to leave but they leave at 1pm.
Personalized service, super attentive, truly incredible to go and see one of the most beautiful places in the Mexican Pacific.
Very good service, the guides were very attentive and friendly. The price is still reasonable and it is worth it because they give a very good experience.
